Transgender men and nonbinary teenagers who underwent breast removal surgery reported having a better body image afterward, according to a new study. Northwestern Medicine looked at 70 female-body patients between the ages of 13 and 24 who either received “top surgery,” or mastectomies (36 patients), or who received testosterone therapy but didn’t get mastectomies (34 patients). Researchers had patients report about their body image before they began their treatment path and then three months later. The study found that “gender-affirming top surgery is associated with significant improvement in chest dysphoria, gender congruence and body image in transmasculine and nonbinary teens and young adults,” according to a press release

Transgender men? Oh, in newspeak that means confused women. Now I get it. So, nature gives them these absolutely stunning goodies, but they are smarter than nature and have them chopped off; forever mutilated. And this is good. Riiiight.

These poor broken women and girls need real therapy not evil "gender affirmation".
Gender Dysphoria: the only mental illness we allow the sufferers to self-diagnose and then assure them they are not mentally I'll when they clearly are.

This is a mental illness and I am tired of being told it is all good and I am a bad person if I think it is insanity.

I've encountered multiple new medications, surgeries, medical devices...that were documented in initial studies to be beneficial.
These same treatments, after being used in thousands of patients over many years end up being withdrawn from the market due to undesirable side effects, or lack of efficacy or even harmful outcomes.
Old saying in medicine, don't be the first to try something new, don't be the last.

At one time is was 'OK' for some women to be a bit masculine and no one seemed to mind. They often seemed like One of the Guys - played sports, worked on cars, worked in a factory, etc... But they were still women and probably preferred having a woman 'partner'. I don't remember them ever wanting to change into a guy. What's going on today is insane.

It is well past time to re-open the mental asylums and get these people mental help instead of disfiguring surgeries and dangerous drugs!!!!!!
God, please help these mentally ill young people, because our mental and physical health "professionals" are setting them up for lifetimes of misery (since they will never truly fit in anywhere) and very good chances of committing suicide down the road!!!!

The actress known as Elliot Page, formerly Ellen Page, is still only a 5'2" at best, and in no way can play a man now that she's had her breasts removed and a fake six-pack of abdominal muscles implanted. We'd do a lot better as a nation if we dealt aggressively with child molesters instead of celebrating the coping mechanisms employed by the victims.

A paragraph filled with gobbledygook and woke nonsense. Do all those words help the left feel better about themselves and their horrific self-mutilations? The stories are already coming out about deep, suicidal regret for these procedures.

Daily Wire pundit Matt Walsh dissected this “study” in his daily program. To no one’s surprise this effort to promote mastectomies for children is junk. The “researchers” are employed by the organization that performs this butchery. A three month follow up is useless. Walsh is an activist who has done more work exposing the trans gender insanity than any one else.

They are females who want to pretend they are men so get their parts cut off. They will NEVER be men.

Of course, in the 60's doctors thought that Thalidomide was beneficial as well. Then later, they discontinued its use, but not before a LOT of permanent damage was done.

There is no such thing as transgender. Use of that term is a perversion of language.

This "top surgery" is a big slap in the face to women who've had double mastectomies for breast cancer. Some go through painful surgeries to have their breasts reconstructed.
Look up InHisImage_Themovie.com. Premise is that 30 years from now the surgeries and the whole transgender thinking is highly regretted and they can't get their original bodies back. Vanderbilt Hospital is coming under great scrutiny for supplying these surgeries (since 2018) for profit. The whole thing is purely and utterly disgusting.

How did the world flip so fast? When did sex-change operation become gender-affirming? When did mastectomy become top-surgery? When did female patients become female-body patients? And why are so many so willing to use these ridiculous euphemisms?

And the dopey left wonders why there's a high suicide rate among women and men mutilating themselves to "improve their body image."

A whole 3 months. Go out a year or three and revisit the regret, and the suicide rate, not that the butchers care much about that. A similar study might examine the relief perceived by those who intentionally damage perfectly healthy limbs in order to have them amputated because they want to become handicapped, and find the same results.
