The father of a teenager who died in the 2018 Parkland, Florida, school shooting says state governments haven’t learned “anything” from previous mass shootings and insists focusing “on just gun control” is to blame for the most recent massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
“Evidently they didn’t learn anything,” Andrew Pollack told Fox News Digital.
Citing a 2018 shooting at a school in Santa Fe, Texas, that resulted in 10 deaths, Pollack emphasized his point.
“They didn’t learn anything from what happened in Texas at that school shooting, they didn’t learn anything from what happened in Parkland at that shooting, they didn’t learn anything from what happened at Sandy Hook,”

In the 1970s, Irene Demas and her husband Tony would trade dishes at their restaurant for the talents of the locals, including bakers, craftsmen, and artisans. One of these exchanges gave them something they could have never imagined: a painting by the acclaimed Canadian folk artist Maud Lewis, which is now worth thousands of dollars.
Painter John Kinnear and his wife would go (to) the Villa, Irene’s restaurant, almost every day for lunch. And every time, Kinnear would only ever order a grilled cheese sandwich, which he exchanged for a selection of painting(s) from him and his friends.
“Mind you, it wasn’t just an ordinary grilled cheese.

I want to remind readers of the problem of personality disorders (P.D.) and distinguish P.D. from mental illness.
P.D. is a pattern of anti-social or dysfunctional behavior caused not by mental illness, but by bad manners and bad social adaptation. There are three groups of personality disorders. It appears to be the latest example of Biden trying to fit in with a crowd of people he’s addressing by saying

Iran has revealed it has a massive underground military base brimming with missile-firing drones in a secret bunker beneath a mountain range. With concrete tunnels and military officials using buggies to get around, it looks like a James Bond supervillain's lair—and it has its very own array of deadly weapons to fit the bill. The Iranian army gave some details, but not the exact location, of its secret underground base amid simmering tensions in the Gulf. State TV said 100 drones were being kept in the heart of the Zagros mountains, including Ababil-5, which it said were fitted with Qaem-9 missiles, an Iranian-made version of

On Friday, New York’s Governor Kathy Hochul announced state residents would have the option to choose “X” as gender on their driver’s license, learner permit, or non-driver ID card statewide. The change is being implemented following the State’s Gender Recognition Act, which goes into effect on June 24. The new legislation furnishes expanded protections for transgender and non-binary New Yorkers. As a result of the new law. it will now be more convenient for people to change their names, change their sex designation, and change their birth certificates to reflect their chosen identity,

A Maryland school district is offering families with pre-K-5 students a Pride Week reading of the picture book “Calvin,” about a 4-year-old transgender boy who dresses as a boy for the first time for his first day of preschool. The Howard County Public School System also will give away free copies of the book to the first 50 families who register for the June 7 virtual reading by “Calvin” authors JR and Vanessa Ford, according to a registration form a restricted HCPSS Google Document shared with parents. Students in Uvalde, Texas say school lockdowns have become routine because of frequent high-speed car chases by Border Patrol of illegal aliens reported Buzzfeed this week. A year ago to the week of the mass school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that took place Tuesday killing 19 third and fourth grade children and two teachers, Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson that Joe Biden’s open borders policies had turned his small western Texas town into the “Wild Wild West.”

Joaquin Castro, keystone cop of wokester lefties who famously doxxed his own donors, got sucked into a hoax from a Twitter bozo claiming to be a member of an Uvalde massacre victim's family, who was followed home by members of Texas Gov Greg Abbott's team and demanded that they pose in backdrop pictures on behalf of Abbott or they would be prosecuted. (Snip for tweet) I screenshotted the exchange when I saw it: (Snip for tweet) It was fake as heck, and easily blown apart as hoax by journalists Andy Ngo (who famously has exposed antifa) and Yashir Ali (a lefty, but an honest one).

After tragedies like the horrific school shooting in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday, we learn a lot about our political figures. In the aftermath of 9/11, we saw the epitome of leadership with then-Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani, earning him the unofficial title of “America’s Mayor” and the recognition of leftwing Time magazine’s “Person of the Year.” When Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi’s henchman blew up Pan Am flight 103 in 1988, killing scores of innocent Americans, President Ronald Reagan didn’t just retaliate, he bombed Gadhafi’s house, and Gadhafi went into hiding for decades. Those are examples of true leadership following a tragedy. And then, we have clowns like Beto O’Rourke.

Patrisse Cullors admits she’s made a “few mistakes" as the ugly headlines continue to mount over her scandalous spending as the disgraced former leader of Black Lives Matter.
She attempted to keep a lid on her self-authorized spending for several years, but the IRS simply couldn’t be ignored for another fiscal year. (The group hadn’t filed since 2017 and was forced to halt collection of donations.)
Once the bad news broke in a public tax filing last week, (snip) she doubled down on the absurd claim of being cast in the role of “victim.”

Despite evidence to the contrary, there is the continued belief that there were no weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq. Between the Democrats, the media who serve as their propagandist, and those who have an irrational hatred of George W. Bush, there has been a refusal to give up the lie that nothing was found in Iraq.
One of the reasons given by former President Bush for going into Iraq – beyond Hussein’s government funding international terrorist activities that did target Americans – was weapons of mass destruction were in fact found. In other words, the weapons were not the only reason, but also the financing of international terrorism.

Our current period of political turmoil can be considered to have begun with the presidential election of 2008. The meteoric rise of a virtual unknown from the Illinois state Senate to the White House is fairly unprecedented. Though he lacked any depth of understanding of why things are the way they are, Mr. Obama was gifted with a commanding stage presence. After all, superficial appeal invariably trumps substance among the political activist community.
Obama was certainly helped when the Republican establishment decided that 2008 was a time to lose.

There are many commonalities with regard to mass shootings in America. The shooter was known to authorities for past antics. The shooter exhibited signs of mental illness. And the authorities either dropped the ball keeping tabs on the suspected person or didn’t enforce the laws that would have prevented them from obtaining firearms.
The preventability aspect has become known with the recent Buffalo mass shooting where avowed white supremacist Payton Gendron shot and killed 10 people at Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo. Gendron picked the location due to its high proportion of black residents. The kid threatened to shoot up his school last year.

Imagine one of your kids freezing to death in your home. Eleven-year-old Cristian Pineda's mother found her son dead during the Texas blackout in February 2021. Or you have a power outage for three days, losing a couple of hundred dollars worth of food because your refrigerator didn’t work, as Michelle Jones did last summer. The food she had just bought to feed herself, her daughter, and her granddaughter spoiled without electricity.
This is likely to become all too common in the future.
Why?
My years as a Wisconsin state senator and in Gov. Scott Walker’s administration gave me some insights. My senate district included a coal plant,

As Allahpundit pointed out here, when BORTAC agents showed up at Robb Elementary School Tuesday, they were told by the on scene commander not to enter the school. The NY Times reported the agents had driven from the border and showed up between noon and 12:10 pm. And we know from an earlier timeline that they finally breached the door around 12:50 pm and killed the suspect within a few minutes.
Now NBC has published a story with a small but significant update to what the Times reported earlier. It turns out the BORTAC agents who killed Ramos were never told to go inside. Instead,

Guns aren’t going away. Yes, school shootings are horrific, we all agree. Liberals who whine that “conservatives love guns more than children” are stupid, entitled cucks who have never been punched in the face for their shooting off their mouths. They jump and scream on cue when tragedy strikes but they are nothing more than useful idiots for the REAL reason the far left wants to take away our guns. We Need More Gun Laws!
Your liberal sister-in-law is all over Facebook with this nonsense, but guess what? New York is as red as Lavrenti Beria’s lucky underpants, and its stringent laws couldn’t stop the left-leaning Buffalo shooter from blazing

One of the questions being mulled over yesterday was how the shooter so easily gained access to the school. Robb Elementary didn’t have the same “hardening” efforts, including a buzz-in security vestibule, that the Uvalde high school had. But there was supposedly a security plan that included keeping doors to the school locked from the outside. A short time ago Texas DPS director Steven McGraw gave a timeline of the incident which revealed a teacher had propped open that door moments before the shooter arrived. “We know from video evidence at 11:27 the exterior door…where we knew the shooter entered, was propped open by

Our betters in the World Economic Forum (WEF) gathered in Davos this week to decide what’s best for the planet and everyone on it (especially themselves). But Stéphane Bancel, CEO of Moderna, was sad. He was disappointed that the plebs don’t want his company’s revered COVID-19 vaccines.
“It’s sad to say, I’m in the process of throwing 30 million doses into the garbage, because nobody wants them,” lamented Bancel as he participated in a panel discussion. “We have a big demand problem.” Actually, that sounds like a big over-supply problem to me, but what do I know?
Bancel elaborated on the outreach efforts the pharma giant was making to “every country,”

Not one inch.
The GOP better not give up one single inch on gun freedom.
The Democrats are giddy. They were hoping that SCOTUS putting the kibosh on kid killing was going to save them from annihilation in November. That did not work – Americans were less interested in preserving a non-existent right to snuff out a life two minutes from crowning than in $6 gas. But this s*****g’s murder rampage in Texas has given them new hope, they think. All the GOP has to do is be spineless and stupid.
So, they’re feeling pretty confident.

The Daily Beast has issued an apology to the Delaware computer repairman who acquired Hunter Biden’s laptop for wrongly claiming in a past story that the computer was “stolen.”
The apology to John Paul Mac Isaac appeared in a Wednesday editor’s note attached to a story the Daily Beast published in Dec. 2020 alleging the laptop was pilfered, Fox News reported. “An earlier version of this story mistakenly referred to Hunter Biden’s laptop as ‘stolen.’ We have removed that word, and we apologize to Mr. Mac Isaac for the error,” the editor’s note reads.

Expanded use of ethanol — enabled by President Biden’s lifting a summertime ban on fuels with a 15 percent blend — is a poor answer to high gasoline prices and a refusal to recognize the failures of the corn-based fuel additive. Reuters described the president’s action as a win for the corn lobby, but all others appear to be losers.
Shortcomings of ethanol as an alternative to gasoline have been reported continually since at least 2007 when the U.S. government expanded its requirement that distributors blend ethanol with fuels to reduce dependence on foreign oil. The additive also has been touted as a way to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide.

Beto O’Rourke might be the most unimpressive politician currently on the circuit, if it weren’t for Kamala Harris. The man who has failed at running for the Senate and the Presidency is back for another go at it, this time running to be the Governor of Texas. That stark lack of ability was on full display again, as he attempted to jumpstart his failing gubernatorial bid in Texas by heckling Greg Abbott during a press conference covering the tragic shooting in Uvalde. In a completely staged stunt, Beto slipped into the theater after two individuals who were in on the plan got up and left.

Nancy Pelosi is in serious trouble. And not the kind of trouble associated with such petty, earthly concerns like her party losing its majority in a humiliating and historic fashion this coming November. And with that loss, her loss of the speakership for the second time in a dozen years.
No, Nancy Pelosi has some serious trouble with the disposition of her soul. And she needs our prayers, even if she doesn't believe it herself.
Last week, her Archbishop, the aptly named Salvatore Cordileone, notified Pelosi that she should no longer present herself for the Holy Eucharist when attending Mass.
