Cry "wolf" too often and soon enough nobody takes is seriously. The school doors, ALL OF THEM, should be locked from the inside so that they cannot be opened from the outside every day, all day, while the school is in session. That will not stop everything, but it will make it much harder for a violent person to enter. A narrow vertical window should be in each door, but with an interior steel flange which will block a gun which is pointed or fired through the narrow window from being able to "access" most of the classroom. This could be easily made so that a narrow view of the room, with the door at the front of the room, would only give "access" visually and via fire to a strip across the room near the whiteboard/blackboard area. Moving the people to the rear of the room, close to the wall with the door should remove them from any line of fire. The window is needed to identify anyone prior to letting them in. This must be taken seriously. If the doors are well designed, and located, with solid locks, a violent person can be excluded for quite some time. And if the police are not fools like this "School Police Chief" was, they can arrive in time before the violent person gains access to victims.

Obviously that door leading from the exterior of the building to the school kitchen was propped open for employee or teacher convenience. What was that teacher doing, having a cigarette? That’s what happens when you have school lockdowns that turn out to be false alarms several times a week. Since Biden and his leftist politburo are all about “root causes” they should look at themselves in mirrors, as it has been reported that those frequent school lockdowns at Uvalde have been occurring as the result of Border Patrol law enforcement operations that have become routine in the Uvalde area, as the Border Patrol attempts to apprehend Mexican smugglers of all sorts, and the very large numbers of illegal aliens who the smugglers are bringing across the borderline into the USA unlawfully. Resulting from Biden’s partisan political “open borders” agendas and policies that have encouraged and invited millions of illegal aliens to sneak into the USA. Common sense will tell you that the current vast amount of crime that is occurring along the borderline is bound to adversely affect the small border towns and those towns with major roads coming from the borderline like Uvalde, Texas. As remember crap rolls down hill.
