Newly disclosed documents have revealed the United States government's plans in the event of a potential apocalypses—which include putting the kibosh on all civilian communications during wartime. The previously classified files, obtained by the NYU nonpartisan nonprofit the Brennan Center for Justice, detail wartime powers the president can enact in the case of a national emergency— such as a nuclear attack.(Snip)Several of the files, which were all penned during the administration of George W. Bush, detail a law that permits the president to take over or shut down communications networks in wartime. The policy, called the Communications Act, asserts that 'during the continuance of a war

Comments:

Forcing us into electric cars with remote kill switches was but a dream at that point. Now, the elites can halt communications and clear the roads of the peasantry when they flee to safety from the problems that they alone created. Is this a great country or what?

Federal Emergency Management & Disaster Response plans can authorize extended government powers for the continuity of government. Pretty deep stuff. Can neutralize elements of the Constitution & Bill of Rights. Cutting off public communication sounds scary. That's one of the preparatory components of US military offensive military operations.

Get your CB radios and handhelds while you can. All low tech analog communications, but they work. My personal favorite is the Baofeng/Pofung UV6R. Can broadcast and receive on any frequency and dirt cheap. Hard to program though.

Dont forget short wave radio. The bands are not very active anymore, but the radios are dirt cheap and have digital front ends now. Operating them is a snap and they can receive broadcasts from all over the world. If governments start messing with the internet those old transmitters will certainly reappear. In the 1980's you could hear pirate radio stations around 7414 kHz, though I dont know about nowadays.

This law is to try to prevent treason and/or sabotage. It's not as draconian as it sounds. It can be reasonable, and it can be misused. It's naive to believe that ham radio, CBs etc. cannot be silenced. Under martial law they may shut down all unauthorized communications, including by making such communications punishable by imprisonment, and it's probable the courts will not get involved (any more than they did in WW2 with the internment of the Japanese). Judges believe themselves to be incompetent to second guess such decisions during war.

During Katrina cell phones were useless in Baton Rouge. I was told the feds took over and needed the lines for their use. When I was working in the shelter in Baton Rouge, sometimes my phone would work, because it was an out of area number. We had a CB operator drive to the shelter and communicate for us about whether there was room in other shelters. I had to drive to a nearby church to let them know about some FEMA information.

Face it, the government can do anything they want, say anything they want, and the bulk of media outlets will assist. The only thing restraining them is the presence of Christians, and when we're gone, it will get ugly. My lib sister has a big problem with God "allowing" evil. God gave us commandments and appropriate punishments FOR evil, to keep it at bay. Man has completely dropped the ball. Then man blames God for the resulting problems.

In re #13 and a few others, I too considered becoming a ham radio operator back during my earlier days. I built several Heathkits including a transceiver but then college days got in the way and my interests went in a different direction and I never got my license. But the transceiver in particular still works despite being powered with vacuum tubes that are as old as Moses. These days I use a separate short-wave radio that is solid state. The conversations among the ham operators remains most interesting. The best communist propaganda of the time was Radio Prague. Boy, were they good at pitching the anti-American spin. We take today's electronic age with a grain of salt. The prospect of our own government disrupting the communications network and financial system would seem plausible if it means shutting down citizen unrest. Nothing would surprise me at this stage. Especially with biden the cheater sitting at the Resolute Desk and the dims currently in charge.

"The files, which were all penned during the Bush Administration, detail a law that permits the president to take over or shut down the networks during wartime" Kind of gives a whole other reason for all the sabre rattling and desire for a major war. How is this for a conspiracy theory: Shut down communications in October due to war, allow only some hand picked networks back up in February to find that some how the Democrats swept the mid terms and our only news sources are CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times and Washington Post and Facebook online for the foreseeable future because they are the only ones the government can trust during this time of war.

Presidential Emergency action documents (PEAD) were originated during the Eisenhower Admin and basically give POTUS dictatorial powers. They were establiehed to react to a nuclear attack when thete wad not enough time for Congress to respond. Over the year they have been expanded to almost any "national" emergency. And, of course, the dims filed a bill in Congress to kill them while Trump was in office. Haven't heard a word since the French toilet was inaugerated. I'm an Extra class ham and there aren't enough people who have radios of any kind to be cohesive. Even UHF/VHF talkies are only good for a few miles without repeaters, and the government knows where everyone of them is. CB would be worse, as everyone and their cousins would be talking at the same time making it useless. Personal radio is great under normal circumstances, but a full-on attack against us, perpetrated by our government, is very different.

The government if the United States is wicked and corrupt beyond comprehension--and it's not just Biden and the democrats. The CIA motto of “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false” has been fully realized. This would not have been possible without the full support of the media. It has been very painful for me over the last several years during which I sadly came to this conclusion. I finally understand why so many countries hate us, our government has done terrible things to them, as well as to us. We are lied to about everything. We need to understand this and get on our knees.

The Brennan Center is ABSOLUTELY NOT NON-PARTISAN. I have worked with them in the past. I know the players. It is a den of woke, elite over educated socialist/communists Trump hating democrats. The only reason they are even commenting on this is because these are decades old plans from the Bush administration. Here y'all look at the shiny new object we are throwing out there for you to fret about. You just know there are a bunch of spanking brand new plans from the Biden/Obama administration just waiting to go into action. I'll wager the Brennan Center even had a hand in drawing them up. We got a taste of what this installed fascist regime is capable of during the so-called pandemic. And each and everyday this lawless fraud of a government restricts our rights and liberties with joy. Whenever you see anything by the Brennan Center or even hear their name, think Marx, Stalin and Che. That's how far, far left these people are.

Our country is gone...has been for a good while. Remember NDAA 2012 when they made it legal for state sponsored propaganda to be used on American citizens (and the information doesn't need to.be truthful either) and where the Feds can now indefinitely detain anyone for any or no reason at all (even though it is unconstitutional)? We are no longer free nor do we have rights. Unless we start to stand up and speak out NOW...IMMEDIATELY....we will be enslaved forever more. Look it all up. They use psy-ops to create false flags, like the Texas school shootings. Sandy Hook was a play. Those were actors and real residents were paid huge sums to sell their houses and stay quiet. Jade Helm was another false flag. False flags by the government are common now as they are ready to take our guns and divert attention from what they are really doing. Still, sheeple can't believe any of it... If you are awake, it is imperative that you stand up and speak out and get others to do the same!! If you are still asleep, you will get a very rude awakening when there is no food, no gas, no electricity, and loved ones are rounded up in the middle of the night.

But those returning viruses and bacterial infections are behaving differently, according to an emergency room doctor with Lenox Hill Hospital. His endorsements of other like-minded America First conservative candidates help those beneficiaries pull ahead in crowded primaries. And the worst-kept secret in American politics is that he wants to swap out his Sunshine State address for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue as soon as possible. No, the politician is not Donald Trump but rather Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who lately seems bent on executing just about every page of the former president's political playbook—only with a sunnier demeanor, less offensive language and fewer of the personal antics that make Trump so polarizing.

Former White House economic adviser Peter Navarro contested the charges against him in federal court in Washington, DC, on Friday, after he was arrested by the FBI on two counts of contempt of Congress for defying the January 6 committee. Navarro spent hours in custody and in court, “having at it,” in the words of Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto. He confirmed that he had been arrested while boarding a domestic flight, and placed into “handcuffs” and “leg irons.” (Tweet/Video) He told reporters outside the courthouse that arresting officers had made a point of placing him in a cell once occupied by former attempted assassin John Hinckley, Jr.,

Scientists inadvertently bred a horde of unusually aggressive hamsters after a gene editing experiment to 'reduce aggression' went wrong. Researchers at Georgia State University produced new rodents without hormone vasopressin in an effort to raise 'social communication' between the rodents. Yet the chemical change turned the Syrian hamsters wild, prompting fights inside cages. The ultra-vicious hamsters were pictured pinning, biting and chasing each other.(Snip)The study's striking conclusions challenge scientists' understanding of the relationship between biology and behaviour. The professor added: We don’t understand this system as well as we thought we did. 'The counterintuitive findings tell us we need to start thinking about the actions

Despite our "anxiety" about high gas and food prices, Joe Biden says we need to cheer up: Americans are "more financially comfortable" than at any time in the past decade. According to the White House statement he read out from his vacation lair at Delaware's tony Rehoboth Beach: The job market is the strongest it’s been since just after World War Two. We’ve got more evidence of that today. We learned that in May the economy added another 390,000 new jobs, bringing the total since I took office to 8.7 million new jobs — an all-time record.

Russia is being hit hard by Ukraine‘s Javelin anti-tank missiles. What makes this weapon so powerful? The U.S.-made FGM-148 Javelin is one of the premier portable anti-tank missile systems in the world. It’s also an expensive piece of kit, with each missile typically costing more than the targets it eliminates. However, corruption is the main problem that every country has to fight with and the Ukrainians are no different! The expensive javelins have allegedly found their way into the black market on the Internet. Telegram channels have repeatedly reported that military equipment is being sold by the Ukrainians. The sales market is often the Middle East or North Africa.

President Joe Biden unleashed another passionate call for gun control, using the bully pulpit of the White House to make his case.“Nothing has been done,” Biden said. “This time that cannot be true. This time we must actually do something.”The president spoke about his proposals during a prime-time address from the White House, surrounded by candles representing the victims of mass shootings.“For so many of you at home, I want to be very clear, this is not about taking away anyone’s guns,” Biden said before announcing he wanted to ban all “assault weapons” including AK-47s and AR-15s as well as magazines holding 30 rounds.
