People vote most sincerely when they vote with their feet. One of the basic realities of our time, transcending and perhaps ultimately overwhelming many of our current political debates, is that people are fleeing blue states and moving to red states. What states are in decline? California, New York, Illinois, Minnesota. What states are prospering? Texas, Tennessee, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah. And above all, Florida.
Current Census Bureau data speak for themselves:
Four of the nation’s top 10 metro areas with the highest population growth last year were in Florida — more than any other state, according to new US Census data.

The Walt Disney Company has come out against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill after it was signed into law on Monday by the state’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.
The company has been beset with controversy from within as its left-leaning workers staged a walkout to protest management’s initial reluctance to denounce the measure while its conservative employees urged higher-ups to stay neutral on hot-button political issues.“Florida’s HB 1557, also known as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law,” reads the statement from Disney, which posted the message on its corporate Twitter feed Monday.

Millions of Britons could need Covid boosters every six months for the foreseeable future, health bosses hinted today. Dr Jenny Harries, chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), suggested the most vulnerable 'relevant groups' in society will still need regular top-up jabs. Britain is still in a 'period of uncertainty', she said, despite all restrictions being lifted more than a month ago. Experts are unable to predict when a new variant may occur and how it could affect immunity from vaccines, she said.
Around 8million over-75s, care home residents and immunocompromised over-12s in England can now book their fourth dose. Fifth, and potentially even sixth

President Joe Biden invoked his trademark whisper on Monday afternoon when he lamented that it's 'not right' billionaires pay less in taxes than 'a firefighter and a teacher.' He opened his speech by recalling his father previously stating, 'Don't tell me what you value. Show me your budget—I'll tell you what you value.'
The commander-in-chief was addressing Americans from the White House after unveiling his $5.8 trillion spending plan for the next fiscal year, which also includes a new tax on billionaires and aims to ease supply chain bottlenecks, beef up American cyber-defenses and reduce the crime wave that's currently plaguing many U.S. cities.

Aging and increasingly irrelevant actress Sally Field is clinging to hope that someone will listen to her. Fading fame has that effect on self-entitled losers. Does anyone younger than 40 know who Sally Field is? What has she done lately? And by lately I mean decades? Even Breitbart, which covers her violence-fueled rant below, could best connect its readers to her appearance in 1994’s Forrest Gump and 1977’s Smokey and the Bandit. She’s a washed-up joke. She’s also apparently cool with political violence. Some might call that terrorism.
As reported by Breitbart, here is Sally Field threatening violence against two different conservative politicians:

President Joe Biden was visibly angry at a press conference on Monday when he was reminded of many egregious misstatements the White House has had to ‘walk back’ in the last week; paramount among them being his remark “Putin cannot remain in power.”
When a reporter even couched her question in sycophantic phrasing to soothe the damaged ego of the president, Biden nonetheless lashed out at the press for grilling him on his dangerous misstatement. President Biden received hundreds of thousands of “excess” votes in Democratic-controlled areas in the 2020 election, according to an academic study on voter fraud that suggests the push to relax voting standards created new opportunities for electoral mischief. John R. Lott Jr., the man behind the research, teased out those numbers by comparing Democratic-dominant areas to Republican-dominant places over the past two presidential elections, particularly in places where claims of election fraud were reported in 2020.

The Covid pandemic response beginning in 2020 was one of the most sweeping cases of media propaganda in world history. Governments not only lied to the masses (“15 days to slow the spread,” e.g.) and made dubious claims based on poor evidence (“mask up” to end the pandemic), but it censored even civilians for doubting the mainstream narrative. Now, a former news executive at international network Sky News, as well as a veteran of ITV, has come forward to reveal what news audiences have only previously been able to surmise: Some news networks must have been ordered to adhere to the government’s pandemic narratives or risk serious consequences (such as

President Joe Biden on Monday tried to clarify his comments about not allowing President Vladimir Putin to stay in power, insisting he was expressing his outrage at the Russian leader's brutality in Ukraine rather that unveiling a new U.S. policy. The U.S. president alarmed allies and partners on Saturday when he said at the end of a speech in Warsaw: 'For God's sake, this man cannot remain in power.' The White House quickly tried to walk back the comments, saying the president meant Putin could not continue to wield power over neighbors.

The Oscars saw an uptick in audience numbers following last year's award shows, but the numbers were still down from previous years.
The award show drew 13.73 million viewers and received a 2.9 rating among adults 18-49, based on fast national ratings from Nielsen. A more detailed estimate is expected Tuesday, with elements like out-of-home viewing added. However, the preliminary numbers show a dramatic increase from the 2021 Oscars. The numbers for last year's show were the lowest ever with 10.4 million viewers and a 2.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
Sunday's Oscars show is still the second-least watched show for the Academy since the mid-1970's, when Nielsen began tracking the numbers.

Washington - President Joe Biden said Monday that he would make “no apologies” and wasn’t “walking anything back” after his weekend comment that Russian President Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power.” The president also insisted he’s not calling for regime change in Moscow.
“I was expressing the moral outrage that I felt toward this man,” Biden said. “I wasn’t articulating a policy change.”
The president’s jarring remark about Putin, which came at the end of a Saturday speech in Warsaw that was intended to rally democracies for a long global struggle against autocracy, stirred controversy in the United States and rattled some allies in Western Europe.

We’ve been watching the fallout of Biden’s gaffe about regime change in the Soviet Union Russia, but it is hard to top today’s headline in the Wall Street Journal for droll understatement: The story includes this similarly droll bit of “reporting”:
It wasn’t clear if Mr. Biden’s statement was designed to send a message to Mr. Putin and the international community, or simply a verbal misstep.
All of which brings us to the stunning new poll result out from the well-respected—and Democrat-connected—Iowa Poll, whose most recent nationwide survey finds Biden’s overall approval rating at 34 percent. This is very nearly Nixon-on-the-eve of resignation territory, or George W. Bush

Washington - With the last nine, unscripted words of an impassioned speech about Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, President Joe Biden created a troubling distraction, undermining his effectiveness as he returned home to face restive Americans who strongly disapprove of his performance on issues that matter most to them.
His comment that Russia’s Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power” — an assertion that his aides were forced to quickly clean up — overshadowed his larger message of solidifying the Western coalition that’s confronting Moscow.
It punctuated another frustrating moment for an administration that’s struggled to regain its footing

Most members of the House select committee investigating January 6 -- including chair Bennie Thompson and vice chair Liz Cheney -- believe the panel should interview her, CNN reported earlier Monday.
The committee has had ongoing discussions about Ginni Thomas, and CNN reported last week that it has in its possession 29 text messages that show her pleading with then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to continue the fight to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

After weeks of progressive backlash and corporate protest from the Walt Disney Company, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed into law the Parental Rights in Education bill prohibiting the instruction of sexual orientation and gender identity in elementary school classrooms.
Dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by critics, the law is intended to restore power to parents to determine when and how their children should learn about such sensitive subjects.
Rather than a bigoted effort to ostracize LGBTQ students and faculty, the bill is explicit that it is designed to keep conversations about sexuality out of kindergarten through third-grade classrooms.

Remember Cary Grant? Spencer Tracy? Fred Astaire? Clark Gable? Gene Tierney? Grace Kelly? Olivia de Havilland? Audrey Hepburn?
Hollywood and its Academy Awards ceremonies were once was amazingly elegant.
Now, with the Oscars showing us Will Smith walking up on stage to punch announcer Chris Rock for making fun of his wife's bald head, they've become kind of wretched. The Oscars this year showed just how far the movie idols and their Hollywood juggernaut have fallen.
It wasn't just a matter of toddler manners on display, although that certainly was prominent this year.
There actually was a lot of ugliness.

Two German states announced on Saturday that it is now illegal to display in public the letter "Z," a symbol of Russian nationalism. Anyone who bears the emblem while at pro-Russian protests in Lower Saxony and Bavaria could face up to three years in prison or a fine, according to officials. "It is incomprehensible to me how this symbol 'Z' could be used in our country to condone this atrocity," stated Lower Saxony Interior Minister Boris Pistorius, according to WION. German officials noted that while "Z" would be banned in situations connected to pro-Russian rallies, the letter is not entirely

From the beginning of the COVID pandemic starting two years ago, we have heard conflicting and often nonsensical recommendations from those charged with knowing better and leading the country through the biggest public health crisis that most of us have ever experienced. (snip) the vaccines, we were told, would stop transmission and infection with COVID until we learned that they did neither, only reducing the severity of illness and risk of death.
In the U.K. for example, last month 80-90 percent of COVID deaths were among the vaccinated, although the “fact checkers” are eager to claim “misinterpretation” or “lack of context.”
Nothing is permitted to interfere with the preferred narrative.

There was an amazing moment at the Oscars a few minutes ago where Will Smith jumped out of his seat and slapped Chris Rock across the face — HARD — after Rock made a joke that Smith’s wife, Jada, who is bald thanks to a medical condition is auditioning for “GI Jane 2,” an older movie starring Demi Moore as a female Navy SEAL who shaved her head.
But, in America, the censors at ABC didn’t want us to hear Smith yelling at Rock when he went back to his seat. Viewers in Australia and Japan, however, heard and saw the whole thing:

One of the more remarkable aspects of our modern culture is the phenomenon of having two liberals as some of the loudest voices for conservativism. Elon Musk – who up until five minutes ago was a darling of the left for his efforts against climate change – is now public enemy #2, behind only a certain former president, of course. And Bill Maher, who openly espouses socialism, is suddenly the voice of reason against wokeism. Go figure.
Indeed, Maher is not a conservative. But he is a liberal in the classic sense, which means that he adamantly opposes cancel culture and is open to reason.

Layal Aswad was already exhausted by Lebanon’s devastating two-year economic collapse. Now, as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine sends food and energy prices soaring even further, she finds herself struggling to put food on the table for her family of four. “Even bread is not something we take for granted anymore,” said the 48-year-old housewife, standing recently in a supermarket aisle in front of gallons of cooking oil whose prices had risen to an all-time high.CORRECTIONS*

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy continued to call on the world to do more to help his country fend off Russian aggressors, going as far as to accuse the West of cowardice during an address on Sunday, while a top Ukrainian official identified a shift in Russian strategies.
Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, predicted that Russia was aiming to split Ukraine into Western and Eastern blocs, similar to how North and South Korea were independently recognized following the Korean War, as ongoing negotiations with Russia have so far failed to reach a conclusion.

It seemed like another tiresome Oscar night devoid of any entertainment and replete with virtue signaling and political spiels. Just when you were about to yawn from boredom, Comedian Chris Rock ascended the stage to present the best documentary award.
Rock began with a jab at Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz for being nominated on the same night. His next target was Denzel Washington as Macbeth, Rock said “King Lear ain’t got nothing on me.”
Next, Jada Pinkett-Smith caught Rock's eye “Jada, I love you, G.I Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,” referring to the actress’s bald head.

One of President Joe Biden’s signature promises during the 2020 campaign was that he would “unify the country.” Now, a little more than a year into the presidency, most Americans don’t feel he has lived up to his promise. In fact, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows they feel America is divided, not united, under Biden.
“I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but to unify; who doesn’t see red states and blue states, only sees the United States,” Biden told followers after declaring victory on Nov. 8, 2020.
That speech was seized on by many as a sign

Chatter concerning the possible removal of President Joe Biden, 79, from the White House erupted online this weekend after the president on multiple occasions seemed to blurt out escalation talk regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, all in contrast with White House messaging.
The Daily Wire highlighted that Biden’s seemingly off-the-cuff remarks had to quickly be addressed and walked-back by the administration.
In one instance, Biden told a group of American troops in Poland that they were going to see the “backbone” and “guts” of the Ukrainian people “when you’re there,” suggesting the U.S. was putting boots on the ground in Ukraine, in contrast with White House statements and talking points.

Is the Constitution inherently racist? Brandon Hasbrouck says yes.
In Boston University Law Review article “The Antiracist Constitution,” the Washington and Lee University professor alleges our nation’s founding document “serves white supremacy.”
He aids his argument with George Floyd’s death, the Fugitive Slave Act, and the fact that Thomas Jefferson owned slaves.
The professor points out a peculiarity:
It is June 28, 1776. The Continental Congress orders that Thomas Jefferson’s draft of the Declaration of Independence “lie on the table.” … Jefferson, who enslaves hundreds of people, nonetheless includes an assertion that “all men are created equal.”
Moving forward to fugitive slaves:
It is September 18, 1850. Congress passes the Fugitive Slave Act…

I’ve written about the ridiculous push on the left calling for the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas because his wife Ginni Thomas had an opinion they consider bad about the 2020 election, and that she shared it in texts with then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.
Now stay with me a second, while I explain the manic claim. She wanted Meadows to look into some of the questions that were being raised about the election, according to the alleged texts. She didn’t encourage him to do anything illegal, and she was nowhere near the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2020.

Since Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was chosen by President Biden to replace Justice Stephen Breyer on the Supreme Court, we’ve been encouraged by the White House, congressional Democrats, and the corporate media to celebrate her as the “first Black woman” nominated to serve on the Court. Yet, when asked during her confirmation hearing to define the term “woman,” she responded, “I can’t … I’m not a biologist.” The problem with this answer isn’t just that it was unworthy of a serious SCOTUS nominee. It is symptomatic of a debilitating disease that has infected our political discourse, rendering substantive policy debate all but impossible and endangering the republic.

The President is getting ready to roll out his proposed budget for fiscal year 2023 this week and if he has his way, Elizabeth Warren will be over the moon with delight. A document released by the White House yesterday indicates that Joe Biden will be asking for a new “Billionaire’s tax” to be included in the budget, setting a minimum tax rate of 20% on some of the wealthiest Americans. But as with most everything that emerges from the swamp these days, the name of the new tax doesn’t match with what it actually does. And while this proposal will certainly boost Biden’s support with the Squad

Three supposed comediennes co-hosted the Oscars Sunday night, as the show, which has been reeling from its plunge in ratings in recent years, attempted to win America over. Co-host Wanda Sykes decided she would alienate plenty of people in Florida by attacking them over the state’s Parental Rights in Education legislation, sniping, “Well, we’re going to have a great night tonight. And for you people in Florida, we’re going to have a gay night.”
She then joined co-hosts Regina Hall and Amy Schumer to chant like defiant four-year-olds, “Gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay, gay.”

I watched the “Return to Normal” Oscars so you didn’t have to.
You’re welcome.
We are a family of cord cutters, so I actually signed up for a free trial with FUBO-TV in order to watch it. Canceled it as soon as the show was over. I have enough streaming apps in my life.
It was as terrible as expected, with some shining moments to make it bearable. We’ll get to the worst first.
Thanks to the Woke takeover in 2019, comedian Kevin Hart was canceled as host for the 2019 Academy Awards show over 10-year old tweets that were considered homophobic. Way to go, Woke Mafia.

Updated 20:30 Chris Rock got more than he may have bargained for as a presenter at the 94th Academy Awards. While presenting the award for Best Documentary Feature, which ultimately went to Questlove’s Summer of Soul, he made a joke at the expense of Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, leading to an on-stage altercation that was not scripted and drew gasps from the room, according to sources.
“Jada, I love ya. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,” Rock said with reference to Pinkett Smith’s appearance. Will Smith seemed to be laughing following Rock’s comment. But he then stunned the audience at the Dolby by storming
