Now, as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine sends food and energy prices soaring even further, she finds herself struggling to put food on the table for her family of four. “Even bread is not something we take for granted anymore,” said the 48-year-old housewife, standing recently in a supermarket aisle in front of gallons of cooking oil whose prices had risen to an all-time high.CORRECTIONS*

Not buying that it is all Russia's fault here. Not buying it a bit. Shortages have been coming for about a year now, same length of time Biden has been in office.

So psaki say it can't happen here and FJB says we will be affected. I don't believe anything that comes from this clown car administration except for when FJB goes off script and speaks the truth. Even if it is for only a moment. Went to the grocery store yesterday. Stocked up better than they have been in weeks if not longer. Asked one of the stockers where all the goods were coming from. He told me this was stock that had been ordered before Thanksgiving. So we are consuming goods that were produced probably a year ago. We are going to be in a s*** load of trouble because of the gas prices, fertilizer problem, wheat growing season interrupted, normal climate problems that happen every year, general inflation on everything. Even if we are not directly affected food prices will be going sky high making it difficult to feed our families even if there is product on the shelves. I have spent the past several months turning one of my spare bedrooms into a food pantry. I will not be caught off guard. And if that shoe does not fall I will have purchased food that was at least reasonably priced.

Egypt has been teetering on the brink of starvation for a long time. WAY too many folks for their crappy, useless desert land with a small strip of arable crop land along the Nile. There are a lot of places which have been barely hanging on that wheat shortages and price increases due to the forced price increases of oil and natural gas energy will drive over the edge. WEF wants worldwide chaos, so that they can come in and propose that the solution is MORE CENTRAL control by the WEF thugs in charge.

Re #7,....."We have deserts in America. We just don't LIVE there! MOVE!! " Hilarious, yes. But, realistically, pretty impractical for those at the very bottom of Egyptian society, or in parts of sub-Saharan Africa. If they go somewhere else, the people already there shoot them, or hack them to death with machetes, as in Rwanda.

Tom Cotton would already have earned an A+ for his digging into Joe Biden’s affirmative action nominee Ketanjio Brown Jackson and her disgusting leniency toward and support for consumers of child pornography. She is vile. As if Cotton hadn’t done enough already, now he’s going after the judge and Supreme Court hopeful for her almost-as-bad representation of suspected terrorists and detainees at Guantanamo Bay. Kudos to Cotton for having the stones to do what few GOP seem willing to anymore. Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, John Kennedy, and Marsha Blackburn have been impressive throughout the hearings as well. Here is Cotton turning Ketanji Brown Jackson into a “puddle”:

Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson had a tough day Tuesday, as she faced the first serious questions about her record and her judicial philosophy. Judge Jackson came across during the introduction hearing on Monday as a personable, likable and accomplished attorney and jurist, with a beautiful family. On Tuesday, however, she was unable to satisfy concerns that she harbors deeply radical political views, and that she has a record of being too soft on sex offenders. There were several key points: 1. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) nailed Jackson on the “1619 Project,” Critical Race Theory, and her sentencing record.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Israeli lawmakers via Zoom in a fiery speech on Sunday, and called on Israel to help prevent a Russian “final solution.” Zelenskyy told lawmakers: “102 years after the Nazi party was established, on February 24, an order was given for a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.” “They are using the terminology of the Nazi party. This is a tragedy. When they wanted to destroy Europe and have it surrender, they didn’t want to leave any of you remaining. And now us. They called it the final solution to the Jewish question,” Zelenskyy said while also criticizing Israel for not arming Ukraine.

New York State was subject to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's reign for 10 years until he resigned last August. He was replaced by Gov. Kathy Hochul, his lieutenant governor and a fellow Democrat who has been awful in her own right. Hochul is considered the likely favorite for winning the Democratic nomination for the gubernatorial election this November. However, Rep. Lee Zeldin, who is running for the office as a Republican, is hopeful that he has a shot at beating her, along with his running mate of Alison Esposito for lieutenant governor, and he's pointing to polls to prove it.

In case you have not heard, Kamala has a bad reputation for mistreating those working for her, they might not mind watching her blow it again publically. According to a report Wednesday, Harris is being deployed by the White House to tout President Joe Biden’s “achievements” at home while Biden flies off to Europe apparently assuming the role Harris just left, somewhat in disgrace.

British Airways has become the world’s first major airline to remove mask mandates onboard the aircraft for passengers from Wednesday, in a move shortly followed by Virgin Atlantic. Britain’s second-largest airline firm announced on Tuesday that they will no longer require passengers to wear masks on board their planes and will instead allow people to “make a personal choice” on the matter. Yet, British Airways did note that there will be an exception for flights to countries with their own “restrictions and legal requirements,” which currently includes nations such as the United States.

Biden promised to take “aggressive” executive actions on climate regulations even if the Supreme Court overruled him. He acknowledged that progress on the issue of climate change was difficult to achieve in Congress, hinting that donors could help him pressure lawmakers.

China’s state-run Global Times propaganda newspaper mused on Thursday that the Chinese coronavirus may have originated in America because Americans love “vampire-themed movies,” leading them to have a “cultural” inclination to experiment with bat coronaviruses. An editorial by the Communist Party propaganda site made the assertion in a discussion on unsubstantiated accusations by the Russian government against America, accusing the United States of experimenting on “bat coronavirus” in laboratories in Ukraine. Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, but greatly expanded its war on that country on February 24 and has since seized significant blocks of territory in the country.

A school district in Washington state has passed a new policy encouraging administrators to factor in race when disciplining students. The Clover Park School District board approved the new policy on a 3-2 vote on March 14, over the objections of board members who expressed concerns that it was ill-conceived. The district in the suburbs of Tacoma will now use 'culturally responsive discipline' that encourages school staff to impose punishments that 'may be adapted to individual student needs in a culturally responsive manner.' Critics say the new approach is in effect a race-based disciplinary policy that will encourage harsher or lighter punishments based on a student's race,

Joe Biden was never smart. When I interned in Congress for two summers many years ago, other congressional members openly referred to him as one of the dumbest men on Capitol Hill. Biden’s wide-open mouth was a firehose of senile anger, shooting out a torrent of unfocused danger. His words won’t shorten the conflict, but will likely prolong the suffering of the Ukrainian people. His babbling strengthens Vladimir Putin in Russia, while dragging America and the rest of the world ever closer to nuclear confrontation.
