The Walt Disney Company has come out against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill after it was signed into law on Monday by the state’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. The company has been beset with controversy from within as its left-leaning workers staged a walkout to protest management’s initial reluctance to denounce the measure while its conservative employees urged higher-ups to stay neutral on hot-button political issues.“Florida’s HB 1557, also known as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law,” reads the statement from Disney, which posted the message on its corporate Twitter feed Monday. “Our goal

I think Disney should close down all its Florida operations and refuse to broadcast ABC and ESPN and streaming services to Florida residents until this unjust law is repealed and schools are free to teach immorality and sexual deviance to Florida's children again. Well, considering there has never been a bill called "Don't Say Gay", or even a bill that made it illegal to say "gay", proposed in the Florida legislature, Disney's grasp on reality has apparently been totally erased after all those years of living in fantasy land!!! Years ago, we took our kids to both Disney Land and Disney World. We had a great time. But that was when Disney was in the business of entertainment, not lie-beral and sodomite indoctrination of children. You couldn't pay me to go to a Disney anything now!!!! Fortunately, my adult children believe the same and their kids will never visit the Disney Sodomite Indoctrination Camps!!!!!

Calling the bill ‘Don’t Say Gay’ doesn't describe what the bill does or doesn't do. The LGBTQ+ community is wrong in insisting that kindergarten through third grade children should receive LGBTQ+ indoctrination. They are too young to understand what you are talking about. Learning the basics of reading, writing, mathematics, and how to get along with one another is a full time effort for this age group. They don't need to be distracted from learning the basics.

Disney was nice in its heyday, but the changing political climate and its mistake to join the “woke” crowd rather than stick with Walt’s family values formula rendered it useless as entertainment with many of its previously faithful fans. Soon, it will fade into history, like the Barnum and Bailey Circus and Punch and Judy.

Looks like Disney is doubling down. Clearly they want a cultural war with the decent people in the country. I say, bring it. I am so tired of their deviant position on children”s issues. Starve the Mouse. If anyone should want to protect children from this blatant grooming, it is a corporation geared to children. Evidently, all the magic was just a ruse to lure children to the dark side. It’s time to take a stand. This Bill was quite reasonable. What Disney is advocating for is nothing more legal grooming of very innocent children.

Disney was in the process of moving 2000 creative jobs from California HQ to Florida. Most of those left coasters don’t want to move to Red Conservative Florida and attacking this bill gives them leverage against moving. I’ll bet most of the uproar is from the gay left coasters trying to stay in Cali.

The liberals are characterizing the bill as "don't say gay" as if everyone would oppose that. Actually I think "don't say gay" is a good idea for children 12 and under. The school shouldn't talk about sex at all for those age groups. And as for the older groups I don't think there should be any discussion in the general classroom. My male gym teacher had a one day sex education class for the guys. He taught only the guys the mechanics of how sexual reproduction worked. He did not advocate sexual positions or lifestyles. Nor did he advocate anything except the mechanics of how it worked. The female gym teachers conducted the same kind of class for the girls.

A key part of the US bond yield curve inverted again on Friday, stoking fears that a recession could be looming as the Federal Reserve steps up a plan to hike interest rates. The two-year US Treasury note yield briefly rose above the benchmark 10-year note yield for the first time since September 2019 — an unusual “inversion” that is viewed by many as a reliable signal that a recession is likely to follow in one to two years. The 10-year note was up 9 basis points at 2.41% while the rate on the 2-year US government bond soared 14 basis points higher to 2.42%.

Michael Sussmann is the Democratic lawyer who is being prosecuted by special counsel John Durham for lying to the FBI. Back in February, Sussmann’s attorneys filed a motion to dismiss the case arguing that even if their client lied about who he was working for when he brought information about Trump and Alfa Bank to the FBI, that lie was an “ancillary matter.” Today, the judge held a pre-trial hearing about the request for dismissal and it sounds as if it didn’t go well for Sussmann. The bulk of Thursday’s hearing was devoted to a motion by Sussmann’s attorneys to throw out the single-count false-statement charge against their client on various grounds.
