But while the justices in an unsigned opinion threw out voting maps the Wisconsin Supreme Court had selected for the State Assembly and Senate, they left in place state congressional maps. The state’s highest court selected the maps from a range of options after lawmakers couldn’t agree.

On Tuesday, District Judge Michael J. Newman issued a preliminary injunction against Biden’s orders that prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from arresting and deporting most of the nation’s 11 to 22 million illegal aliens across the United States.
The orders were imposed in September 2021 after the Biden administration was successfully sued by Texas and Louisiana for implementing similar orders at the start of last year.

Dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by critics, the legislation would restrict discussions centered on sexual orientation and gender identity in schools. The bill passed Florida’s House and Senate and is expected to be signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

New Orleans - The National Weather Service has confirmed a 'large and extremely dangerous' tornado formed over parts of St. Bernard Parish on Tuesday morning.
Forecasters say the tornado was confirmed around 7:32 p.m. near the Arabi and Chalmette area. Video captured from a WWL-TV viewer captured a tornado moving through the area at the same time. Entergy Louisiana reports that nearly 4,000 customers were without power in St. Bernard Parish as of 8:20 p.m. All of Arabi and some parts of Chalmette are without power.
There are early reports surfacing on social media of significant damage to homes in that area.

Alcohol-related deaths, including from liver disease and accidents, increased to 99,017 in 2020, up from 78,927 the year prior, according to the study performed by researchers with the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, a division of the National Institutes of Health.
While 74,408 Americans ages 16 to 64 died of alcohol-related causes, 74,075 individuals under 65 died of Covid-19, the study found. The rate of increase for alcohol-related deaths in 2020 (25 percent)

In a joint statement, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai said the deal would allow historically based sustainable volumes of U.K. steel and aluminum products to enter the U.S. market without the application of Section 232 tariffs.
