Biden's Supreme Court nominee Ketanji
Brown Jackson refuses to define the word
'woman' because she's 'not a biologist'
as she is grilled on day two of her confirmation hearing

Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson refused to define the word 'woman' during the fiery second day of her confirmation hearing conducted by the Senate's Judiciary Committee. The moment came during a tense exchange with Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) who pressed Jackson on sex and gender issues amid the fallout of biological male swimmer Lia Thomas storming to victory in the NCAA championships against female competitors. Quoting late Supreme Court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Blackburn said: 'Physical differences between men and women are enduring. The two sexes are not fungible. A community made up exclusively of one sex is different from a community composed of both.'

So a Supreme Court Justice cannot "define" what a woman is...even though she clearly IS one! I do not think that anyone who is incapable of answering a simple question like that should be trusted with anything, to say nothing of being appointed to the US Supreme Court. It is a hallmark of the Left to obfuscate their answers when being asked what they think in hearings like this where their words go on the record. Once on the Supreme Court though, I think she'd have NO PROBLEM answering it. Her answer would probably be "a woman is whoever a person thinks they are". This Judge has definitely not impressed me at all.

If one can not define the very basics, how can one define an intangible thing like "constitutional right?" You have to grasp the easy stuff before moving on to the hard stuff.

Senator: Judge, what color is the sky today? Judge: I can't answer that because I'm not a colorist. It could be blueish green, aquamarine, dark turquoise, or a 51st shade of grey. It's hard to say, because the question is a hypothetical and it might come up in future hearings.

If this nominee were to become a Supreme Court Justice, how would she adjudicate on cases involving discrimination against a WOMAN? If the nominee cannot define "woman," how would she know whether a person had been discriminated against because of her gender? This makes no sense. This ignorance of the definition, or unwillingness to acknowledge it, has all sorts of implications for lawsuits involving Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action. Does this nominee really want to open Pandora's box? She may not like the curses that come out.

What is a woman,, a female? ...Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had no problem answering that simple question. Yet this self proclaimed, ''first black woman,'' to be named to the Supreme Court, Jackson, evades that same question by saying she is a judge, not a biologist. Jackson foolishly cannot simply say what is a woman. This alone should prevent her from discerning other decisions to be handed down from the Court. She is a foolish politically biased woman.

By stating that she is not a biologist as an excuse, she let the cat out of the bag - biology says that every single cell in anyone’s body contains chromosomes which determine one’s sex. If biology is the criteria, then all of the tranny nut cases are just that - nut cases. This morning on his radio show, Chris Plante talked about questions which Blackburn should have asked as a follow-up. Example - President Biden said that he would only nominate a woman. Are you a woman? How do you know that you’re a woman? Was he wrong to nominate you if you are not a woman? I would love to have seen her response to those questions.

I think she is trying to walk a fine line, knowing her backers (to the tune of $1 million to support her) are watching her every word. Why do they need to give money to back her? Does she put it in her bank? Just curious. This is very OT, but I have to tell you - I have seen a special is being shown on Ruth Bader Ginsberg and at the fabric store, there were two bolts of fabric for her - one with her sayings and one with her collars. W.T.H.! Are they trying to develop a cult for her?

Whole bodies of federal law like Title IX - Gender equity statutes depend on being able to unambiguously determine what is "male" and "female" and what constitutes discrimination against "women". If she doesn't know how to do this, she could never rule on any Title IX case brought before her. I suspect as an activist and radical she knows full well what "woman" means but didn't want to let the cat out of the bag. A "woman" is whatever she needs it to be to justify her religious crusade to impose her personal view of justice on a racist, sexist society. In a sane world this would disqualify anyone of any race or gender from acting as an impartial judge of the law.

That would suggest extreme prejudice on cases pending. That is enough to start the turn down process. A willingness to entertain multiple genders and definitions is a matter for legislative debate, not judicial fiat. We have been at war with ourselves over abortion because Supreme Court Justices lacked the understanding to defer to legislators on matters of social dispute. This is no longer shrug and put up with it. This is a non starter. Black white man woman. Activism must be stopped here and now.
