Seattle students walk out of school, demand

More than 100 Seattle Public Schools students walked out of class Monday morning to protest the district’s decision to end the requirement that students and staff wear masks. Many of those students rallied at district headquarters, the John Stanford Center, to ask Superintendent Brent Jones to reinstate the mask mandate districtwide. Mask requirements for Seattle and most other districts in the state ended a week ago.

Comments:

They have been taught to use force, not persuation to get what they want. And they demand 100% no risk, which is not possible. (And the teachers' union is as bad.)

This was clearly organized. Politically active liberal high school students. Does not represent all of the students in Seattle.

They belong to the Seattle Students Union, a newly formed activist group. Surprised? Entirely misinformed/misguided on the value of masks, they press on regardless. This sounds teacher-motivated to me. Amazing what a few forceful, charismatic teachers can do to high school-aged minds. FTA: “It is not fair that I have a teacher who is immunocompromised and has to take care of her elderly grandmother and now she has to be scared every single day coming into the building to teach us and nurture us and do what she loves,” the sophomore at the Center School said. “That is injustice.”

Yeah, 100 students out of apprx. 100,000 attending Seattle schools. FYI, masks aren't outlawed, you have a choice to wear one or not. So put one on, stop complaining and get on with your lives.

What’s the big deal? Let the about 100 or so indoctrinated protesting students wear masks if they wish, and let the remainder of about 99,900 non protesting students in Seattle go to school without masks if they wish. What could be fairer than that?
