Many may have to play along with declaring Lia Thomas as one of the greatest female athletes of all time, but everyone else lives on planet Earth where dogs bark, the sky is blue, and men can’t suddenly be women because they said they were. Thomas is definitely a man and there’s no escaping that fact. It’s why when he was declared the winner of the NCAA women’s swimming championship, many people immediately rejected his first-place victory and focused on the girls who finished below him. In one stunning moment, the girls did the same.

Here's an idea: These creatures claim they want to be identified as Transies. OK, fine. Let's introduce a whole new separate competitive Trans category just for those who don't feel comfortable with their assigned birth gender. Let them compete against other Transies in their own division. Somehow, though, I think my very considerate proposal won't get any traction within the Trans community. HA. I think I know why.

Looking past the obvious... DeSantis is wrong. Thomas played totally within the rules, whether "fair" or not. Fix the rules if they're unfair. Thomas has done a public service for those with enough sense to understand the broader ramifications. Whining about some girls not getting a medal is one thing, but let's not overlook the greater issue: Different standards for men and women. Thomas clearly deonstrated the DIFFERENCE in EQUALITY. All these women want is an even playing field. Well, they just got one. No special women's program to protect them this time. No partitioning of the pool. Same water...and they got smoked by a second-rate "female" athlete within their rules. This happens to our straight sons daily, and it is widely accepted. Women tile this field with various programs, admissions advantages, correcting previous "unfair" outcomes. Reparations in the form of professional school admissions. And isn't that wonderful? Poor girl didn't get her medal... If anyone wants to cry foul about Thomas, let them cry foul about the advantages accrued to females in many fori. Simple proof is the declining number of males in college. Another is the differing physical standards for such as military, first responders, and other such occupations. Why is that? I celebrate Lia Thomas, not for her/his hollow victory, but for the proof (s)he brings to the table that women don't really want an even field or EQUALITY. They just want theirs to the exclusion of actual competition.

I don't understand how Thomas can be said to be "playing by the rules," when there is no scientific test to confirm his claim to "identify" as a woman. How is it logical to accept a self-serving claim without evidence, thereby stripping female athletes of their ability to compete against other women? He can state he "identifies" as a woman, but how could he possibly know what womanhood feels like? He can only observe. Rachel Dalzel "identified" and presented herself as an African American woman for several years in Washington State. When her fantasy was exposed, no one felt obligated to play along with her false claims. She was seen as a fraud. Senator Elizabeth Warren used the Native American heritage she claimed to possess to her advantage. But when her DNA showed only a trace of that heritage, science rejected her claim and no one, including Sen. Warren herself, demanded we continue to believe she was an American Indian.

#23 - Maybe...and your view otherwise is? What part is inaccurate or "all wet"? The EQUALITY part? #21 - There are indeed rules regarding gender that have been set by international sporting authorities. These are used by the Olympics and the NCAA. Under the Olympic rules, transgender and intersex athletes must have testosterone levels below a certain threshold measured through a testing process. The IOC has bailed out of these with the controversy, now accepting whatever the sport authorites accept. Gotta love this from the IOC: “Every athlete has the right to practice sport without discrimination and in a way that respects their health, safety and dignity. At the same time the credibility of competitive sport — and particularly high-level sporting competitions — relies on a level playing field where no athlete has an unfair or disproportionate advantage over the rest.” So. let's ban tall players from basketball, or fast runners from track...

The display of the first 6'3' 220 pound former dude who slam dunks or slaps down an opponent's shot will be the end of this. Women are no longer respect Ted or protected. The only son of former president Donald Trump and former first lady Melania celebrated his 16th birthday on March 20th. Barron Trump, who like most first children was mostly kept from the public spotlight, has been something of a shock to those who see him in recent photos. Last summer, it was widely shared that the youngest Trump had ballooned to six-foot-seven. According to some outlets, the average height of a fifteen–year-old male is five-foot-six. Amazingly, at just 16, that means Barron has years of possible growth still. Could he reach seven feet? Most of the Twitter comments were pleasant, which was a rare surprise from the famously intolerant, cesspool-like environment.

Joe Biden has shown – time and time again – that he has no compunction against lying if it means shifting the blame away from himself. We mentioned some of his lying about inflation earlier. We’ve seen him blame everyone and everything else, rather than take the blame and take the right steps to address it. His latest excuse is Vladimir Putin, despite the fact that inflation has been raging for several months, long before Putin invaded Ukraine at the end of February. He was speaking at the House Democrats Conference in Philadelphia, and he repeated the lie, saying inflation was “largely the fault of Putin.”

Even as Russia invaded Ukraine, the United States was said to be forging ahead, with an announcement to be made any day. That despite the fact that Russia itself was the chief mediator. But this is Joe Biden we are talking about, so he even managed to find a way to fail at an objectively bad thing, and not for lack of trying. Iran deal negotiations have been suspended after Russia demanded sanctions relief in return for an agreement. The rupture follows escalating tensions between the Kremlin and the White House.
