Powell and the polls: Bidenflation is
real, it's spectacularly bad -- and may
last three *years*

Who do voters blame for inflation, especially at the gas pumps? It’s not Vladimir Putin, and they don’t chalk it up to “corporate greed” either. A pair of new polls identify who gets the blame for inflation and how much it will occupy voters in eight months — and again two years later, Fed chair Jerome Powell suggested yesterday. We’ll get back to that projection at the end. The more significant of the polls comes from Emerson, whose polling has been a bit kinder to Joe Biden on job approval. He gets a 43/49 overall from Emerson, a slight improvement over last month’s 42/50. Among independents,

Powell said. “I believe these policy actions and those to come will help bring inflation down near 2% over the next three years.” Dems are always saying "The sun will come out tomorrow!" or at least it will stop raining. The problem is, their "tomorrow" promises never seem to arrive. Remember BO's promises that the economy would improve and unemployment would come down? Those promises went throughout his 8 years as president and NEVER significantly came true. Yes, things agonizingly slowly improved because creative American businesses found out how to get around some of BO's impediments to growth. Then Trump came in and things vastly improved in the blink of an eye. How stupid and deluded are the Americans that cannot see the reality that dem policies are destructive to America and Trump's/Republican's approach is good for ALL Americans. Dems have lied for decades and have only gotten bolder in their lies as media solidified their support of progressive policies. We are living through yet ANOTHER lesson that this is true. How many times do Americans need to be hit on the head with the dem rock before we take it away from them, hopefully permanently?

Gas prices started rising within 48 hours of TaliBiden being declared the winner. He campaigned on destroying the oil industry and they took note. I don’t blame them one bit and I’m sure that the thousands of people who lost their jobs on 1/20/21 don’t either. Supply and demand trumps everything else. They know it and the TaliBiden cabal knows it too.

Real people poll Joe at rock bottom. The democrats have to do some tricky timing on revealing the contents of the laptop so they can ditch his hairy arse without affecting the election even more. I don't think he will be there in November. The inflation will not take two years to be cured when enough people start waiting them out.

Gee, ya think? If inflation were measured by 1982 standards, the inflation rate would be 15% and getting worse. This of course could be changed, but those running the country don't want anything to change. The oil cutoff and virus mandates were put in place for a reason. Control and power with the goal of reducing the influence of the U.S. on the world stage. I wonder what past president stated this as a goal about ten years ago?

This inflation has many fathers, although only one gets named. The USA has spent countless TRILLIONS over the past decades, mostly money it didn't/doesn't have. National debt is $30 TRILLION and growing. It was a mere $252,060,821,088 when Reagan left office...chump change by today's standards. Today it stands at $30,336,463,391,216 and growing. Yeah, it's all Biden's fault...let's support NATO, go to war in Ukraine, maybe back into Afghanistan, open that border wider...free shtuff for everyone!

Three out of every five people in the U.S. now have antibodies from a previous Covid-19 infection with the proportion even higher among children, demonstrating how widespread the virus was during the winter omicron surge, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The proportion of people with natural Covid antibodies increased substantially from about 34% of the population in December to about 58% in February during the unprecedent wave of infection driven by the highly contagious omicron variant. The CDC's analysis didn't factor in people who had antibodies from vaccination. The CDC published the data in its Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report on Tuesday.

The funds will be put toward a “Legacy of Slavery Fund” to continue researching and memorializing the history, in part by working with descendants of black and Native American people enslaved at Harvard and their broader communities. The announcement follows the release of a report from the Presidential Initiative on Harvard & the Legacy of Slavery project, which Bacow commissioned in 2019. “Harvard benefited from and in some ways perpetuated practices that were profoundly immoral,” Bacow said in an email to the university’s students, faculty and staff members obtained

Ari Melber hosts a show called The Beat on MSNBC, and like many of his ideological comrades, he is Very Concerned™ about what might happen to Twitter with Elon Musk at the helm. In what has to be the most stunning lack of self-awareness and cognitive dissonance perhaps ever committed the world wide web, Melber took to the air on Monday to express his fears about the demise of fair play on Twitter. Melber worried that one person owning all of a site like Twitter wouldn’t have to be transparent, and that person might even be able to *gasp* secretly ban politicians they don’t like, or outright ban them, or even *second gasp* “turn down their reach.”

The company will not allow any changes to the platform unless they're business-critical and approved by the vice president, people familiar with the matter told the outlet. The ban is in place until at least through Friday, Bloomberg reported. The move was taken in order to prevent any employees, upset by the decision, from "going rogue", one source told the newswire. Elon Musk has tweeted a cryptic line of poetry as the Twitter board is expected to accept the Tesla titan’s $43bn bid for the social media platform. Mr Musk ktook to Twitter amid reports he could become its owner as early as Monday, and wrote, “And be my love in the rain.” It appears to be the final line from American poet Robert Frost’s poem A Line-storm Song, which observers say was written about the difficulties inherent in love and relationships.

Earlier on Monday, explosive news broke that Elon Musk was closing in on a deal to purchase Twitter. At that moment, the hysterics began, and now that the deal is done, the breakdowns have grown exponentially, something RedState recently reported on. But while we knew the broader left would lose its mind, another big question would be how Twitter’s employees would handle it. After all, it’s currently a far-left company stocked full of far-left ideologues from Silicon Valley. Some weeks ago, when Musk first began to make noises about purchasing the social media giant, I posted this as a reaction.

Elon Musk has bought Twitter amid promises to make the platform more hospitable to the freedom of speech, but perhaps not coincidentally, both former president Barack Obama and never-president Hillary Clinton have recently come out strongly in favor of speech restrictions. It’s clear that the powerful forces that want to silence political and cultural dissent in this country today, and make it impossible for anything but the Left’s favored positions, are not giving up, Elon Musk or no Elon Musk. Google has added a feature to Google Docs that will nudge writers toward using language that is more “inclusive,” that is, more in line with Leftist sensibilities.

Funny how the people comfortable attacking private businesses hate when DeSantis uses their playbook. The current issue du semaine involves the state of Florida passing legislation to strip the Walt Disney Company of the special governmental set-asides it has enjoyed for generations. There are valid positions to be made on both sides of this issue. Initially, I have some reservations about this; it is not an automatic comfort with the direct action being taken in this kind of swift manner, but the more I reflect on the matter, it seems to be a case approaching inevitability. On the left, we see many taking the side that this is a direct violation of free speech

A wave election is on the horizon and the only question is just how strong of a wave it will be. Will it be a traditional kind of victory for Republicans as the minority party typically picks up seats in midterm elections? Or will it be a red tsunami brought about because of deep disapproval of the Biden administration? Either outcome will result in Republicans taking back control of the House and very well may flip the Senate, too. The White House is girding its loins in preparation of the consequences GOP victories will bring. A top concern for the White House is the new investigations that will be opened up.

Last Tuesday, RedState reported on two desperate filings put forth by Hillary for America and Fusion GPS. Swapping animal products for future foods such as insect protein or cultured milk could reduce global warming, water and land use by over 80 per cent, a new study suggests. Researchers used computer modelling to find the optimal diet combination to meet nutritional needs, while also minimising global warming potential, water and land use. They found that if people in Europe replaced meat and dairy with foods produced through new technologies, such as making fake steak out of bovine cells, it could significantly reduce all environmental impacts. Not only that, but it would be nutritionally adequate and meet the constraints for what can be feasibly consumed, according to experts
