Voter integrity is essential. It's popular. It's why for all the Democrats' yelling about how this, that, and the other is racist regarding new voter laws, these laws aren't going anywhere. Election security withstood an onslaught from Democrats' allies in the media. Then, it dawned on Democrats—gee, voter ID laws are popular.
Yeah, they are—and always have been, fellas. Across the board, Americans support voter ID. This isn't new. The gaslighting began when Democrats, resigned to defeat, tried to say they always supported such measures. Wrong.

If Justin Trudeau had merely removed trucks from blocking a bridge in protest of vaccine mandates, it would be no big deal. Protesters for various causes routinely get removed from blocking traffic. But that’s not all Justin Trudeau did. He suspended civil liberties in Canada, targeting peaceful protesters and anyone who supports them. Not because those supporters committed a crime, but because they supported the political opposition to Trudeau’s government. Trudeau ordered all financial institutions to freeze the assets of his political opposition without court order and with full immunity from liability, and no financial asset was spared.

Roosevelt, N.Y.—A man is facing charges including attempted murder after allegedly pointing a gun at an officer during an attempted traffic stop Thursday, police said Friday. The suspect, David Debose, was driving a blue 2014 Hyundai southbound on Park Avenue in Roosevelt when officers noticed he had a defective headlight, the Nassau County Police Department said. When officers attempted to stop Debose, he allegedly refused and fled toward Valdur Court.
Eventually, police said Debose left the vehicle and attempted to run away on foot. Officers caught up to Debose as he was trying to jump over a fence—that’s when he turned and allegedly pointed a 45-caliber pistol

The Ottawa Police used horses to charge into a protesting crowd earlier today. An elderly disabled woman (identified by red jacket) was standing with her mobility walker as the mounted police charged. She was crushed by the horses and Fox News journalist Sara Carter {LINK} is reporting she died from her injuries.
Shortly after the police mounted the charge and trampled the crowd, the Ottawa Police claimed via Twitter someone threw a bicycle at one of the horses. Video of the incident shows it wasn’t a bicycle, and it was not thrown, it was the mobility walker of the deceased victim as she was trampled by the horses.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has embarrassed himself and his government with his response to the Freedom Convoy, and however it ends now, there’s no way for him to save face.
From the start, Trudeau has dismissed the truckers’ concerns and tried to discredit them by claiming they’re a fringe minority with “unacceptable views.” Yet, a recent poll suggested that 46% of Canadians have some sympathy with the truckers, even if most disapprove of their methods. That’s higher than Trudeau’s own approval rating.

After rerunning some of the names, officials spotted at least 50 Afghans with “potentially significant security concerns” who made it the U.S. despite the Biden administration’s assurances to the contrary. Making matters worse, the government appears to have lost track of most of them inside the U.S., the Defense Department’s inspector general said. The Nazis have always been Hollywood’s go-to villains, the bad guys every American who isn’t an antisemite or eugenicist can agree are the epitome of evil. They also serve as a convenient substitute when Hollywood doesn’t want to address America’s real-world enemies; in 2001, for example, when filmmakers were adapting Tom Clancy’s thriller The Sum of All Fears for the big screen, they changed the antagonists from Arab terrorists to European neo-Nazis. But Hollywood’s neo-Nazis of today are – you guessed it – American patriots.

As we previously reported, some doctors and experts have raised questions about how Bob Saget could have acquired such severe head injuries from what had previously been assumed to be a ‘fall’ in his hotel room. Various doctors described the multiple fractures he had on his head, saying things like the multiple fractures/trauma looked like something that you would get more from a 30-foot fall, a car accident, or getting hit with a baseball bat, not just a “bump” on the head. Now, the Daily Mail is saying there are reports that police theorize Saget may have hit his head on the headboard on the bed, then had a brain bleed,

Joe Biden got lost and claimed he once was a lifeguard on Lake Oswego in New York. The problem is there is no such place. Biden’s just keeps making things up not realizing how demoralizing this is for his Administration and the country. During a speech yesterday, Joe Biden shared that he once worked as a lifeguard on Lake Oswego when talking about New York. The problem is there is no Lake Oswego in New York. There is a Lake Oswego in Oregon but there is no evidence Biden worked there. He’s probably never been there.

OTTAWA – Seven Canadian provinces now oppose an Emergencies Act declaration made Monday by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who claims it is needed to stop the peaceful Freedom Convoy protesters in Ottawa. (Snip)
No less than six provinces, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Newfoundland and Labrador have already or will be soon dropping most COVID rules, with more saying they will do so as well.
Two Canadian premiers and 16 U.S. state governors in a letter recently demanded that Trudeau and U.S. President Joe Biden allow un-jabbed truckers to cross the border.
Despite the new threats from Trudeau, organizers for the Freedom Convoy said Tuesday that they would “hold the line.”

One of CNN’s promotional videos, a compilation of short clips of many of its hosts still being used to this day, includes a clip of Erin Burnett, evidentially quite exercised about some great injustice, asking: “How stupid do you think we are?”
The promotional video does not provide the context for this great social justice warrior’s impassioned words but it is in fact in reference to remarks by several GOP senators’ remarks about Donald Trump’s alleged description in a private Oval Office meeting of certain African countries and Haiti as “s**thole” countries. Although these events took place long ago, it is useful to dissect Burnett’s remarks in some detail

So Kamala Harris is going to the border. That would be the Ukrainian border, not the U.S. Southern border, to somehow resolve Ukraine's border crisis instead of ours.
According to the New York Post:
Vice President Kamala Harris set off Thursday on a peace mission to Europe as Russia appeared to accelerate preparations for an invasion of Ukraine — undeterred by her failure to resolve the ongoing US-Mexico border crisis as President Biden’s point person on illegal immigration.
About two hours after Harris departed DC to attend the Munich Security Conference, Biden

Four Senate Republicans failed to show up to vote on an amendment that would have defunded President Joe Biden’s remaining vaccine mandates, thus ensuring its failure.
The Senate voted on Sen. Mike Lee’s (R-UT) amendment to the continuing resolution (CR), which would defund Biden’s remaining vaccine mandates. The measure failed 46-47, with Sens. Mitt Romney (R-UT), Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Richard Burr (R-NC) failing to show up, depriving Senate Republicans a potential majority to pass the amendment to the CR.

In Canada, first the doxing, then the struggle session.
This week, one of the most popular small-donor fundraising sites for the Canadian truckers protesting the COVID vaccine mandates, GiveSendGo, was hacked. The names of donors were shared with the public. We know about this mostly because erstwhile news organizations, such as Reuters, have showered attention on the breach as if they were providing a public service. Indeed, many of the same outlets that refused to report specifics about the Hunter Biden email scoop in 2020 (though the story was obtained in a completely ethical journalistic manner) or share specifics from the Democratic National Committee email hacks in 2016 (illegally obtained,

Russia will hold a major nuclear exercise involving wide-ranging missile drills tomorrow including around Crimea and the Black Sea that will include launching ballistic and cruise missiles, the Kremlin has announced.
The exercise, which will be overseen by Vladimir Putin himself, will involve Russia's aerospace forces, its strategic missile command, Northern and Black Sea fleets and the Southern Military District - which covers Crimea and part of the border close to rebel-held areas in Ukraine.
It is designed to test the 'readiness' of commanders and troops as well as 'the reliability of weapons of strategic nuclear and non-nuclear forces'

Canadian banks will receive the names of people involved in “Freedom Convoy” protests that have descended on the nation’s capital, a first step in a promised financial crackdown on demonstrators being instituted by the far-left government of Justin Trudeau. Bloomberg reports the Canadian Bankers Association confirmed the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has alerted banks to a list of names and made it available. The institutions are reportedly still seeking clarity from law enforcement on how to handle the alleged protesters’ accounts, according to people familiar with the matter. But Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland said some accounts have already been frozen, the news outlet reported.

That’s the question every non-New Yorker asks about our city. And the answer, I’m afraid, remains “nope.”
On the outside, it can look as though things are normal-ish. In reality, we have simply adapted to a set of insane, unsupportable rules which look set to remain in place forever.(Snip)All through the auditorium prefects marched around with signs saying, “Masks Up.” We were in the welcoming arms of the Ambassadors Theatre Group.Soon a member of staff came to warn me that I had failed to pull my mask up fast enough after my most recent swig of beer.

Chris Barber, one of the top organizers of the Canadian Freedom Convoy protests that have rocked Ottawa in recent weeks, has been arrested and will likely face criminal charges. Barber’s arrest comes after he was named in a “class action lawsuit filed with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice by lawyer Paul Champ on behalf of his client, 21-year-old public servant Zexi Li,” according to the CBC. Fellow convoy organizers Tamara Lich and Benjamin Dichter were also named in the lawsuit.Lich was reportedly arrested as well Thursday evening.

Illegal aliens Jonathan Tercero Yanes and Henri Salvador Gutierrez, both from El Salvador, were sentenced this week in federal court with their fellow MS-13 Gang members Erick Lopez Flores and Djavier Duggins for murdering a teenage boy.
On July 30, 2018, the gang members lured the boy into a Lynn playground where they pretended to be friends with him. While in a wooded area in the park, the gang members surrounded the boy and stabbed him to death with knives.

To many, the poison that is identity politics can mainly be seen in the growing rifts and bitter divisions of the two main political parties. But as real as the Democrat/Republican split is, so-called Woke Politics has a far more insidious and far-reaching impact: It’s destroying Americans’ faith in the long-standing bedrock institutions of our republic.
It’s clear that Americans of different political affiliations no longer see eye to eye. Since at least the 19th century, the two major parties have never been farther apart in both governing philosophy and in policies.
For that, we can blame Critical Theory, the

So far, Justin Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act hasn’t yielded any overt scenes of state power; no clouds of tear gas or columns of troops being marched into the capital. But it’s very different story within the Canadian financial sector. One of the most far-reaching implications of the Emergencies Act is what it prescribes for the Canadian financial system. According to the government’s new Emergency Economic Measures Order, every single bank, credit union, investment broker and insurance provider in the country has been deputized to figure out if they have a blockader as a client, and to immediately freeze their accounts if so.

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says the Republicans in the grassroots of the party who are furious with his handling of a 2020 election review are wrong to blame him.
The anger should instead of be directed at Democrats, Vos said in his first public comments responding to a growing chorus of Republicans at the local party level calling for his resignation after he disciplined a member of his caucus over false election claims.
"In each political party, there are people who are unhappy with the direction because they're frustrated with the state of our country.

All my life, I have encountered people who scoff at the notion that the American family was far healthier in the 1950s than it is now. They cannot, of course, point to any strong evidence of widespread unhappiness and dysfunction in that time. Divorces were rare, and so were out-of-wedlock births. American men and women after the war were eager to resume real life. Rosie the Riveter usually wanted children and a home, not a new sweatband and more rivets.
We don’t have to assert that it was a “golden age,” any more than we have to assert that all of the founders were geniuses of political acumen and farsightedness.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Republicans in the Florida House of Representatives early Thursday approved a ban on abortions after 15 weeks, moving to tighten access to the procedure ahead of a U.S. Supreme Court decision that could limit abortion rights in America.
The GOP-controlled House passed the 15-week abortion ban after several hours of debate between Democrats who said the measure would impose an unnecessary burden on women and Republicans who said they were protecting the unborn.
This is the right to life and to give up life is unconscionable to me,” said Republican Rep. Dana Trabulsy, who disclosed that she previously had an abortion but has “regretted it everyday since.”

His fate was seal-ed.
A California man thought he would die when he fell off his fishing boat and into the frigid Pacific Ocean — but a friendly harbor seal showed up in the nick of time and helped get him to safety.
Scott Thompson, a sea urchin diver, blamed a lapse in judgment for the mishap that sent him falling off his boat into the Santa Barbara Channel in the middle of the night last month.
“I thought to myself, ‘Great, this is how I’m going to die. Today is the day I’m going to die,’” Thompson, who was wearing nothing but his shorts and T-shirt at the time, told KABC-TV.

Ottawa, Ontario, authorities, who already have warned peaceful, anti-COVID-mandate Freedom Convoy protesters to leave the downtown area or face severe penalties, appear to be threatening to hold the dissidents’ dogs hostage and then schedule them for a fast-track adoption.
Or maybe something worse. In a social media message, the city of Ottawa’s By-law and Regulatory Services Branch, a municipal law enforcement agency, put animal lovers who are participating in the Freedom Convoy and presumably wind up being arrested on notice:“Attention animal owners at demonstration: If you are unable to care for your animal as a result of enforcement actions, your animal will [be]placed into protective care for 8 days, at your cost.

There’s simply no other way to interpret her speech at Thursday’s New York State Democratic Party Convention.Like the Tracy Flick she is, Clinton could barely make it through name-checking Gov. At least she knew how to win an election. Not enough that Hillary carpet-bagged her way into a New York State Senate seat, itself a pretext for her first failed presidential run.

DENVER -- U.S. military pilot Gail S. Halvorsen — known as the “Candy Bomber” for his candy airdrops during the Berlin airlift after World War II ended — has died at age 101.
