“NBC’s primetime coverage of the Beijing Winter Olympics averaged 7.87 million viewers on Monday,” reports Sports Media Watch, “8.70 million on Tuesday and an all-time low 6.93 million on Wednesday[.]”
To put that 6.93 million number into perspective, 7.4 million tuned in to the cable TV show Yellowstone last November. That wasn’t even the season finale. That was the fourth episode of the fourth season.
(snip)
That 6.93 million number is the smallest in the history of Olympic coverage. In fact, the Genocide Olympics currently hold eight of the ten smallest primetime audiences in Olympic history.

China unleashed Covid and ruined the entire world for over two years. Yet we have done NOTHING to punish then. Zilch, zero. It is so wrong.

I watched the opening ceremonies of the countries marching in and even that wasn't interesting. I haven't watched anything else since.

After decades of being an indefatigable Olympics fan, I've got a little bit of the dog in me and just can't bring my lazy finger to press the necessary buttons on the remote to tune in to the Chicom Olympiad. My loss, I s'pose. Would rather read a book anyway.

Lie-beralism destroys everything that it touches!!!! And it's dirty, nasty, immoral paws are all over the Olympics these days.
A couple of Olympics ago, when the lie-beral athletes got very political, and said they would not visit President Trump in the White House if they won, I turned off the Olympics and haven't watched it since.
The Olympics were once a bunch of amateur athletes representing their countries. Now it is a bunch of over-paid professional athletes that compete for the highest bidder. Add a bunch of woke lie-beral politics thrown in, and I have no (zip, zero, zilch, nada) interest in any of it.

My wife and I refuse to watch one minute of the Olympics. First and foremost they are on NBC, a network that is not worthy of any support whatsoever. A close second is that the Olympics have become a politically correct medium with more focus on social issues than the sports themselves. Third, they are in China.

I'd like to think that people are ignoring the games as a form of protest for China unleashing covid on the world but I'm guessing that people have been tuning out the Olympics, especially winter games, for a number of years now. Too many US athletes and the media have made the games all about leftists causes. Who wants to be lectured during a sporting event? Add to that, there are no fans from outside of China, no excitement, no shots of cheering family members in the crowd.

When I saw every country march in with the exact same coats, hats, pants…only in their countries colors I said enough and turned it off after 5 minutes! Haven’t gone back!

I would never miss the Olympics I would watch as much as a could and record the parts I wanted while at work. I haven't watched a second of these Olympics and won't watch.
two reasons.
1. China (criminals, psychopaths, and murders running a nation.
2. nbc = nothing but crap (the worse network for wokeness).
They can both go to the devil.

Let's try that again...I doubt that the advertisers are too happy either. The rates were probably predicated on the numbers from the last winter ones in South Korea. There will be refunds or what we called "make-goods" in the business (repeating commercials at no charge to the advertiser). I hardly feel sorry for NBC or the advertisers. They paid a fortune for games hosted by a cruel, evil communist country yet FJB got the MLB All star game moved from Atlanta because the left didn't like the law that made it harder to cheat. The Olympics are dead to me. Haven't watched even a minute and never will.

Last night, quite by accident, I watched the Russian girl accused of doping fall down twice during her long program. That's the sum total of my watching for this Olympics. I gave up the Olympics several cycles ago when the network jumped from event to event and chopped up the coverage with too many commercials. I started changing channels during the commercials and typically didn't go back. Eventually, I quit watching entirely.

Have not watched a minute of this fiasco. I avoid NBC (Comcast appears to be a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chi-Coms and the DNC). I hope they all choke to death on the millions they have lost on this!

Maybe China should have tried to kill the world's population sometime after they hosted the Olympic Games.
The sponsors are losing millions, it's no wonder they flood the coverage with commercials. Not that I feel sorry for them.

Mrs C and I used to love the Olympics. Then it started being all about the drama and the nasty habits and sexual exploits of the athletes, and we started to lose interest. The Kerrigan beating was the last straw. We havent watched a second of it since. Its every bit as corrupt as everything else nowadays.

I'm with #11. They'd show 30 secs of some American winning (which is fine) but no other competitors, then commercials, and sob stories from athletes' home towns, and on and on and on. I wanted to watch sports, not a soap opera!

We have watched some events here and there but not for extended periods of time. Most of the athletes are flying in for their event and then immediately heading back home. I miss the times when the Games were in some picturesque mountain village and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

I don’t watch the Winter Olympics as I’m not into sports like bobsledding or figure skating. I really haven’t watched them due to China who unleashed CONVID on the world and have gotten away with it and NBC whose cable network spent 5 years trying to destroy PDJT. I’m glad that China was made to look even more ridiculous and that NBC lost money.

We tried to watch a few events. Their coverage is horrible. The commercials dominate, and they then throw in half-screen commercials where the event - like ski jumping - gets far less than half of the screen. Pathetic
