That Backlash Against Democrats Everyone

For years, Republicans have been predicting that Nancy Pelosi’s embrace of the so-called “squad” would lead to a political backlash, and that backlash appears to have arrived. Democrats are now lamenting the fact that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush, and Ayanna Pressley have been allowed to define their party at such a high level. From the Green New Deal to the “defund the police” movement, Democrat radicalism is becoming a major liability heading into the midterms, per Axios. The hard-left politics of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and the so-called “Squad,” once a dominant theme for vast numbers of elected Democrats, is backfiring big-time on the party in power,

I'm not buying it. Those losers may be the vocal communists, but everyone else in their party from Pelosi to Schumer to the newest lowly D rep has supported and voted for their agenda. There are no moderates. They bought it, they own it. Dont try to make it look like a small fringe element going into the midterms. Its all of them.

I watched the multiple dimocrat presidential primary debates. And in one of the early debates, the moderator asked who supported 'defund' the police.' And I swear every candidate raised his or her hand. And it was shortly after that, that debate moderators agreed not to aks those 'raise your hand' questions.

The Dems know that they have less than a year to shove their nonsense down our throats. They also know that when the Republicans come to power, very few of the Dem laws will be reversed. They will simply wait for the Republicans to screw up (as they always do) and then start the process all over again.

The democrats screwed up by allowing things to happen so quickly thus allowing the thick-headed leftists to connect cause to results. In the past democrats could do stupid stuff and the damage was not detected until much later when it could be blamed on republicans. See LBJ, Great Society, for a primary example. Then there was the Civil Rights Act and the War on Drugs. This time around, the stupid moves are easily remembered as the cause of our woes because the effects came around so quickly. Every caveman can connect AOC with Green New Deal, Omar and Talib to Palestinian unrest and damage to Israel, Biden democrats' need for new voters to wide open Mexican border, California's impossible truck regulations to supply chain fiasco, California's forest management to constant brush fires, water shortages and electrical system failures. New York's new brand of lenient justice to a huge crime surge. They make it too difficult to fool the people these days.

London -Queen Elizabeth II tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday and is experiencing mild, cold-like symptoms, Buckingham Palace said, adding that the famously stoic 95-year-old monarch plans to carry on working. The palace said the queen would continue with “light” duties at Windsor Castle over the coming week. “She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” the palace said in a statement. People in the U.K. who test positive for COVID-19 are required to self-isolate for at least five days, although the British government says it plans to lift that requirement for England this week.

Unless the goal is to receive backslaps from a sycophantic mainstream media, it’s not a good time to be a Democrat. Things have collapsed in ways that didn’t seem possible over the last six months. Sure, it was expected that the party in power would see some regression, but at this level? Inflation continues to be a top concern among Americans, with January’s number clocking in at another multi-decade high. People are seeing their buying power eroded, and with gas prices set to explode further over the next year, there is no relief in sight. Meanwhile, Russia is on the verge of starting a major war in Europe, Afghanistan

We’ve seen a lot of troubling civil liberties questions regarding the Freedom Convoy, particularly after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act. Among the most concerning: banning of protests at the whim of the government, conscripted labor — the government telling tow truck workers that they would be forced to work for the government against the Convoy — and even the freezing of bank accounts for the grievous sin of being involved in a protest against government mandates. As we reported, you even had Trudeau’s deputy prime minister, Chrystia Freeland laughing about seizing accounts. Brunel was arrested in December 2020 at Charles de Gaulle airport before boarding a plane for Dakar in Senegal where he told police he was going on holiday.

Turns out the lasting image of the Freedom Convoy protest at Parliament Hill will not be bouncy castles but that of a woman with a walker being trampled by a police horse. The violence the Prime Minister has expressed concern about during the three-week protest in Ottawa didn’t unfold until Justin Trudeau’s Emergencies Act police army was sent in to disperse the crowd. The three major incidents Friday, under a form of martial law, were grotesque. Video of Toronto Police Mounted Unit officers charging into the crowd and at least one horse trampling multiple people — including an elderly woman with a walker — was disturbing.

The National Archives, which is controlled by a hard leftist cadre, very excitedly announced that President Donald Trump took classified information with him when he left the White House. The problem—which the AP reluctantly concedes—is that, as President, he had the final say over what’s classified. That means that there’s no hypocrisy in his reaming Hillary Clinton for her conduct. As a predicate, the National Archives management has turned that government office into a purely leftist entity determined to advance all leftist causes, including destroying Donald Trump. Recently, it was caught stating that the U.S. Constitution and all of America’s other founding documents contain “harmful content.” Why? Because they have “racist,

A federal appeals court on Thursday ordered further review of United Airlines’ coronavirus vaccine mandate, calling it “coercive” and reversing a lower court ruling. A three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled 2-1 to return the issue to District Judge Mark Pittman, who previously rejected employees’ request for a preliminary junction. In his opinion, Pittman was sympathetic to employees but said he was bound by court precedent, and he declined the request because employees could not prove “irreparable harm,” one of four variables which need to be satisfied in court in order for a judge to issue an injunction and preserve the “status quo” during litigation.

Heidi Heitkamp] said Democrats are hurting themselves by not speaking out more forcefully against far-left positions that alienate rural voters, such as the push to “defund the police.” While only a handful of Democrats in Congress support stripping such money from police departments, for example, conservative media popular in rural communities — particularly Fox News — amplifies
