Time for Trudeau to Concede: The Truckers

Original Article

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has embarrassed himself and his government with his response to the Freedom Convoy, and however it ends now, there’s no way for him to save face. From the start, Trudeau has dismissed the truckers’ concerns and tried to discredit them by claiming they’re a fringe minority with “unacceptable views.” Yet, a recent poll suggested that 46% of Canadians have some sympathy with the truckers, even if most disapprove of their methods. That’s higher than Trudeau’s own approval rating.

#4 - do you actually think this behavior will be allowed to stand in the US. It has been reported all week that Trudeau was in talks with the Biden administration who urged his heavy handed behavior. We have a US trucker protest starting next week in the USA. It will be interesting to see what Biden/Obama do and if they take their own advice to Justin and squelch things here. How far will they go? Martial law in our future?

A note to any (Canadian or American) law enforcement or military personnel who might be following these "conservative" threads and postings. As believers in common sense, deliberation, cooperation and moderation, we conservatives have always had your backs, as protectors and defenders of lawful, righteous and constitutional behavior. It is part of out DNA to implicitly trust and support you in the performance of your lawful duties. However, know that there is a flip side to this trust and support. We also tend to be fairly aware of the founding principles of this Republic, civics and good governance, far beyond the cynical, slap-dash, ethically ambivalent liberal Left which seems to constantly force you into tragically foolish and untenable enforcement behaviors, directed toward public displays of patriotism, conservatism, and our utter rejection of the Left's attempts to deconstruct our Republic. Do not believe that years of silence indicates resignation or consent to having our rights, or those of others, trampled, and Constitutional principles shredded. As much as the Left mocks and the media ridicules, we take these things very seriously. Though we may be slow to rile, the retribution of a peace- and freedom-loving people against tyrants and their supporters and apologists can be terrible, and unfortunately difficult to put back in the bottle once loosed. Just look to any number of historical figures who chose the road of tyranny in the past. We, not the ideological Left, tend to be the ones that serve, fight and win battles small and large to protect and preserve this nation. By and large, it is we, not they, who work hard without political pretense day after day to keep this nation together for our children and yours. We trust, at the same time, that those we have empowered will do their best to suppress the evil influences of tyranny and arbitrary rule such as we are seeing across both Canada and the US, and indeed much of the free world, today. Their method is to bully, and deceive, and abuse lawful process, then run away and hide from the light of day while using their enforcement arms to keep justice and consequence at bay. We earnestly ask you, as the guardians we have gratefully asked to watch over our civil society, to reject actions which will betray the positions of justice and power which we have given to you. We ask this lest you find that obedience to tyranny and oppression against the rights of the People will everlastingly cost you dearly in public trust, brotherly loyalty, personal prosperity and safety, and civic goodwill. Please, try to be informed and do your sworn duties to the Constitution and to the People, and do not give your strength and loyalty to autocrats and tyrants who subvert America's strength, security, and sovereignty through their mischief, treachery and deception.

Tell that to those arrested, whose bank accounts are frozen, whose children and pets are threatened with removal and most especially those trampled by the Nazi cops. Stop trying to make roast beef out of a crap sandwich. What you are witnessing in Canada, Australia, France... is just the beginning of what the elite have planned for humanity around the world. You can pray all you like, but even David had to pick up a stone and use it. The elite need to be messing their pants in fear. The only way to do that is to make stark examples of a few if them. Then round the rest up and dispatch them as well. Time to wake up and smell the coffee. Virtue signalling about love and peace is getting us exactly no where. Read biblical examples if God telling his people to MOVE! Go forward bravely inri BATTLE NOT A LOVE FEST WITH BOUNCY HOUSES. That has been tried and it has failed. The Great Awakening will count for NOTHING if it is not followed up with swift, decisive action. Change my mind. Psalm 58

The truckers can punish Trudeau now just by sitting home for a few weeks and smiling. Canada will come to a standstill and the people who haven't turned on Prince Blackface already will join the rest. Joe Biden take notice, this will be you if you act stupidly when the US protest reaches Washington. The smart move would be to lift the mandates before they arrive there but smart moves are historically not your forte.

As the Democrats’ political fortunes worsen, recriminations abound. White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain seems to be the latest target, while centrist Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema continue to come under relentless attack. President Biden takes a daily pounding, and news that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will run for another term has produced headlines like this one in Axios: “Pelosi is the GOP’s 2022 Bogeywoman.” It seems strange, then, that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, whose fingers are all over the mess the party is in, isn’t taking more heat. Last week Politico Playbook reported that Schumer has created tension among his colleagues that has largely remained

Those of us worried about the corrosive effects of cancel culture and critical race theory are often accused of obsessing over the culture wars at the expense of "real" issues. But new data suggests that. the culture war is only going to rise in importance in future elections—to the benefit of Republicans. This is the gist of survey results contained in my new Manhattan Institute report, The Politics of the Culture Wars in Contemporary America. Already, cancel culture and applied critical race theory (CRT) are leading priorities for Republican voters and a mid-ranking issue overall—in large part because they unite conservatives while dividing the Left

My friends who are Democrats, particularly those of the more progressive variety, don’t seem to understand how deep they are in the political hole this year—and just how hard it might be to get out of it in 2024, particularly in the Senate. On a basic level, midterm elections are referenda on the sitting president and, if a president’s party has control of the Senate and the House, on that governing party as a whole. President Biden’s current Gallup job-approval rating of 40 percent is the second-lowest of any president in the era of modern polling at a comparable

News Alert for you: Nancy Pelosi is even more agitated tonight than usual. On a conference call just hours ago, Pelosi demanded that her members vote immediately on a piece of legislation she says is critical to our national security. The bill she's talking about, among other things, affirms the central importance of national borders. Well, of course, it does. Without a border, you can't have a country. And Nancy Pelosi firmly believes that. In fact, she believes it so strongly she's directing the Biden administration to develop an urgent new plan to keep the border secure. In fact, not simply secure, but in the words of the new legislation,

Advisors presented Biden with various options to respond to Russia's aggressive stance in Eastern Europe in a Sunday briefing at Camp David. The president is considering sending 3,000-5,000 U.S. troops to Romania and to Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia as part of a broader NATO effort. Other NATO countries may also contribute troops to warn Russian President Vladimir Putin not to try to move into neighboring countries.

It’s not often that I agree with Joe Biden, but he said something in his nasty, brutish, and long press conference last week with which, if properly understood, I agree. Don’t get me wrong.
