OP, they don’t have to be good or even consistent in their lies because they know the media will be there to spin whatever they need. Example: I believe they are not worried about the Virginia governor’s race. They know they have the cheat machine well oiled and ready to go. The hand wringing we are seeing is just for show. Think about it, they decry their chances of a victory and then magically pull out a win. Haven’t we seen this one before? Republicans are excited about the possibility that they could win. Democrats cheat and win. Think Republicans will be discouraged? Sure they will. That’s all part of the plan. Democrats get a two-for, they cheat and win and then they beat down Republicans again. I hope I am wrong and the people of Virginia are fed up in massive never seen before numbers. We’ll find out soon enough. Nevertheless, it is terribly disturbing to know that the Pentagon has turned to the dark side. No surprise with the State Department, but the military? You can thank the boy king for that. He purged the military and that is now bearing fruit. Clearly, military leaders do not want to challenge radical democrats because they know their retribution will be swift and harsh. Like the FBI and every other woke agency, they fear the vicious mob running this country even though most are in lockstep with their ideology. Has apathy been our downfall?

I don't trust the Pentagon' or their numbers. And the media seems to have no interest in this. Americans trapped in a Taliban controlled country is a major news story.

This is another fruit of Biden's "victory" in Afghanistan. Biden is hell bent on reversing every President Trump policy. Every reversal has created a crises or disaster. We have a consistent trend here. President Trump good, Biden bad for the United States!

Those that have been tortured and killed by the barbarians will simply disappear from the lists.

There are a 150 American missionaries being held hostage for ransom in Haiti right now and haven't heard a peep from DC of anyone there.

People with green cards are not Americans. Are they really Afghans with dual citizenship? Why do they want to bring a lot of dangerous Muslims into the US?

And strangely, the tollybon haven't had time yet to arrest and march the 450 Americans in front of cameras yet forcing them to read anti-American propaganda just before their beheadings. Whatever happened to the Afghan military pilot who fled to Pakistan?

I don't buy any such numbers. How many are actual American citizens? How many are foreigners with "green cards" or similarly situated? I have no sympathy for the latter. I would guess most are Afghan citizens. Welcome home!

"Trapped?" You can't say "trapped." And you can't say "stranded" either. They're just "extending their time away from their homeland," that's all. Nothing to see here, move along.

#12 and #14, why would they inflate the numbers by including green card holders? They may want to get green card holders out, eventually, but they have an incentive to be precise in how they define Americans.

Pentagon says 450 Americans are left behind in Afghanistan. Add a zero (0) to that number to be correct.

The truth be known, there are two categories of people in Afghanistan being called “Americans” who are said to be “trapped” in Afghanistan these days. The first category are almost all people of Afghan origin who have lived in the USA for over three to five years and who have been granted naturalized US citizenship who then went back to Afghanistan of their own free will for one reason or another. Today when the vast majority of legal immigrants are granted naturalized US citizenship they also retain their home country citizenship and are generally referred to as being duel citizens or duel nationals, an invented status that has never been included in US law. When encountered traveling internationally those people usually carry two passports. In the cases that we are talking about, one of the passports was issued by the Government of Afghanistan showing that the holder is a citizen of Afghanistan, and the second passport was issued by the US Government showing that the holder is a US citizen. So when such a duel citizen enters Afghanistan they use their Afghan passport showing that he or she is an Afghan citizen, exempt from Afghan immigration and visa laws. But when such a person enters the USA, he or she then presents a US passport showing that he or she is a US citizen, that exempts that person from the US immigration and visa laws. Those are big conveniences to such persons during international travel. The second category of person is a legal immigrant holding Afghan citizenship, who has been granted lawful permanent residence in the USA, who are generally referred to as “green card holders”. Those Afghans are not citizens of the USA, are subject to the US immigration laws, and must comply with those laws to maintain their lawful permanent residence status in the USA. Those lawful permanent residents use an Afghan passport when they travel internationally along with a so-called “green card” to enter the USA. Those persons also returned to Afghanistan of their own free will for one purpose or another. As the USA and NATO presence in Afghanistan was winding down both categories of those people could have departed from Afghanistan if they wished but obviously chose not to do so. A substantial number of both categories of those Afghan origin people have relatives, both immediate and distant, living in Afghanistan who they believe should be allowed to travel from Afghanistan to the USA, and who should be granted a legal immigration status in the USA. For that reason those Afghan origin people who hold naturalized US citizenship or permanent resident status in the USA have not departed from Afghanistan and are lobbying the Biden Administration to bring their Afghan relatives to the USA even though the legal immigration of those relatives are not within the foreign relative statuses provided in the US immigration laws that would allow them to legally immigrate to the USA. Beyond that it has become clear that the Taliban that now considers both of the above categories of people to first be Afghan citizens in Afghanistan regardless of any US conveyed immigration or nationality status,, and that they do not want Afghan citizens, especially the educated and professional classes, to leave Afghanistan en mass. That’s the way that issue stands and was caused by the Biden ordered rapid retreat and surrender to the Taliban of Afghanistan that now rules Afghanistan, without first arranging and providing for those Afghan origin naturalized US citizens and lawful permanent residence to first depart from Afghanistan.

Maybe to pile the blame for all this on Biden so the public doesn't look too closely at the planning and execution phase of this disaster. Maybe the Pentagon sees a GOP resurgence in '20 and are now covering their bases with that side of the aisle. You think Biden did this at the kitchen table, with maps all sprawled out while barking orders to transcribers or over the phone to such stalwarts as Gen. Milley? As they say, all plans go to hell when they meet reality. The blame never stops when it goes wrong.

Biden and Hunter are both criminally insane!

The tangle of military evils and failures in Afghanistan alone should support re-branding of the building to The Pentagram.

Bottom line… Joe lied. People died. And are still dying.
