Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) touted Florida’s milestone of reaching the lowest coronavirus case rate in the nation on Wednesday, highlighting the “overreach” of vaccine mandates.
“Without mandates or lockdowns, COVID-19 cases in Florida have decreased 90% since August,” DeSantis said in a press release. “In addition to cases, hospitalizations have plummeted in our state.”
“This has been accomplished by making monoclonal antibody treatments and vaccines widely available throughout our state while protecting Floridians from government overreach,” he added.

Because they aren't buying the BS. No mask mandates, and they TREAT PEOPLE with monoclonal antibodies. And I'll bet that more than a few docs are prescribing ivermectin and doxycycline.

Ron DeSantis is our rising star. Pity President Donald J Trump will have to leave his beloved Mar-a-Lago Southern White House residency to have Ron in the ticket. De Santis understood that we need the virus to spread throughout the non-vulnerable population to achieve natural herd immunity. Just like in Sweden where children 1 to 15 went to school without masks or social distancing and the result was 0 deaths in that group age and herd immunity for all the Nation. Dr. Atlas was right. Trump was right. DeSantis is right. The NIH refused to pay for the double-blinded studies on Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin that Big Pharma would not do and the US ended up with one of the worst per capita death rates in the world thanks to Collins and Fauci. Do not vaccinate the children, have chicken-pox parties like in the seventies instead. The poor countries that are unvaccinated will fare much better than US, or Israel where everyone is quadruple Pfizer vaccinated with horrendous side effects.

And a very low death rate, too, because Covid patients are actually given anti-viral treatment as opposed to other states where doctors send you home without even an aspirin and orders to quarantine yourself until you get better - or worse.

A situation that proves science over feelings, or more correctly political ideology. So proud of DeSantis and Floridians who followed his lead. That guy is a winner!

How could this be? The demosluts already have DeSantis on the top ten murderers list and he shows up the control freaks with this kind of success. When will the new variant be announced that will be more dangerous than everything we have seen so far - which isn't much as far as pandemics go.

And he does it with people coming down from the north for their vacations and bringing Covid with them.
Pretty soon people will be going to Florida with the covid to seek medical care with drugs that work.

Early treatment not only makes people well but it also stops the spread. Available treatment allows people to get well - stops the fear. Fear is what the government 'leaders' want. I wonder if the MCA treatment stops long haul covid? Likely so, I bet there is little long covid going on there in FL. We still can't get IVERMECTIN here in Ohio. I am yelling at our state reps. to get after the authoritarians in the health department.

Considering the population size and the senior citizen cadre, these stats are amazing! In a proper world, DeSantis would be praised to the highest level ... like Cuomo was. But he's a Republican and thus he must die. This explains why the rush to sell in the Northeast and the run to Florida.
On a quick side note, if Trump runs in 2024 and wants Ron as a running mate, Trump will need to move --- again --- as both the candidates for POTUS and Veep can't be from the same state.

DeSantis has handled this brilliantly. That is, quietly but unyieldingly and effectively. THAT is the mark of a true and effective leader. Frankly, while I voted for Trump twice and would do so again, THIS is the person this country needs as our next President. No petty squabbles, no drama, just effective, principled leadership.

Much of the MSM is not willing to give Gov. Ron DeSantis any credit for the lowest Coronavirus case
rate in the nation. This was in spite of the fact that the Biden administration denied monoclonal antibody treatments to Florida. DeSantis provided them using state funds.
The fact remains that this was achieved without imposing draconian lock-downs or shot and mask mandates.

#2....excellent summary...yes, herd immunity is the way to go....and the idiots running the country and blue cities will keep pushing vaccine mandates. Will be interesting to watch how this all plays out when half the cops and firefighters walk off the job in Chicago....

I think this also proves what some virologists have been saying - that the vaccinated are spreading the virus much more than the government will admit. I have a young single niece who will not date, much less kiss, any guy who has been vaccinated.

I'm sorry to see so many L-Dotters get our beloved Constitution wrong.
There is nothing which prevents persons from the same state from running for President and Vice President on the same ticket. There may be a prohibition which prevents voters from Florida from voting for BOTH candidates - - but that is a very fine distinction which has never been ruled on.
A Trump/De Santis all-Florida ticket is completely legal - - and can get both men elected to the offices for which they are running. Let's hope it happens!

Florida, the one state that is trying to restrain doctors from killing off their patients.
I won't set foot in a Louisiana hospital ER unless I am bleeding profusely, and would die without treatment.

Prediction: The local Florida media will 'manufacture' the 'worst COVID spike ever' in the next two weeks. They cannot have DeSantis or Florida being a success in anything. The national media will pick it up and run with it nonstop.

I do not want to downplay the devastation that COVID-19 has had on individuals and families. People have died; loved ones and friends have been taken from us. But my gut tells me we have to just let the disease run its course.
I had COVID-19 the week of Christmas 2020. I tested positive after having followed mask mandates, washing my hands incessantly, socially distancing, etc. I experienced next to no effects from COVID-19. My dad had COVID-19 in early November 2020. His experience of it was rather mild too. He was 74 at the time. It makes me think that genetics probably have something to do with how a person responds to contracting the disease.
The mental and emotional devastation of COVID-19 has been far worse for me than any physical illness. Not seeing family and friends, not attending church services and fellowship (because they weren't happening or were transformed ridiculously), not following normal routines -- all these and more have angered and depressed me.
It is hard for me not to think Florida might have done it right. It is easy for me to think my home state of Illinois is doing it wrong.

Why can't, at least, the Republican Governors be like Governor Ron? Governor Ron leaves choice up to the individual on masks and taking the Covid vaccine.
Here in Idaho we have a governor people call, Chicken Little. He says he's a conservative but he's doing nothing while companies and hospitals are doing the dirty work of the govt. and implementing VACCINE MANDATES! From St. Luke's, St. Alphonsus, CenturyLink and others, employees here in conservative Idaho must decide if they want to be forced to do something they don't want to do or quit/retire. How evil is that? Where is HIPAA? Where is my body, my choice? We all must RESIST this totalitarian takeover. There are more of us than them. If enough people say NO then the govt. and the companies doing their dirty work, will have to give up their evil control. Finally, prayer breaks the yoke of evil off of the people. Keep praying, we're seeing daylight!

Just read the 12th Amendment and it sure looks like the President and V.P. cannot be from the same State. Sorry for the desire of Trump/DeSantis ticket. But, speaking as a Idahoan, we need Governor Ron to be a light to the nation as a Governor of Florida!
