Pacing up and down and talking animatedly on her phone, rookie armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was seen for the first time since a gun she loaded killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins while being handled by Alec Baldwin.
Gutierrez-Reed, 24, has fled Santa Fe and was found at her dilapidated Bullhead City, Arizona, home by DailyMail.com where she declined to speak about the fatal accident.
Exclusive DailyMail.com photos show a worried-looking Gutierrez-Reed pacing outside her home and speaking on the phone before dashing back inside and refusing to answer the door.

FTA: Gutierrez-Reed is the daughter of legendary Hollywood armorer Thell Reed who trained her from a young age
An adage —- it takes 3 generations to ruin a family business. In this instance, just 2.

Baldwin pulled the trigger, apparently without checking the gun, so he would be guilty of negligence.

Someone handed Baldwin a loaded gun and he promptly pointed it a human and pulled the trigger. Period. He can attempt to now point his finger but his defense is pathetic. I would be surprised if anyone ends up pressing charges but the deceased woman’s husband is an attorney. Uh oh.

Agree with OP. Baldwin is being isolated from the incident but legally it won’t work. That being said, Hannah’s personal appearance, and if her house is truly dilapidated, indicates a slovenly, apathetic loser who has no business being an armorer, who must by nature and training be disciplined, precise, and dedicated. She appears to be none of those, and was hired on the cheap by an idiotic producer.

If, as reports indicate, crew members were taking the pistols out after hours and firing live ammo, this little girl should never be allowed to work as an armorer again.
Baldwin is a killer, The other two are just accomplices.

Gun safety rules say always make sure a gun is not loaded. Never point a gun at another person. If you are going to shoot a gun make sure the safety is on until you intend to shoot. Etc etc etc. I think a huge wrongful death civil suit is on the way against Alec and his armorer.

When conservatives fail to learn about the culture of the culture of the left they are liable to use the wrong pronouns or tell a bad joke and hurt someone's feelings but when the opposite happens, when the left fails to learn about the culture of conservatism people get killed and the country gets ruined.

Laying blame on others isn't going to answer these two questions:
1. Why was Baldwin pointing the pistol at the cinematographer?
2. Why did he pull the trigger?

Baldwin had the last clear chance to avoid this tragedy. Had he known the first thing about gun safety, as opposed to shooting his MOUTH off about firearms like a total buffoon, he would have never pointed the weapon at another human being and pulled the trigger.
Had he been quasi-knowledgeable about handguns he would have known exactly HOW to check the chamber to see if the gun was loaded and with what kind of round. Apparently he is totally ignorant of everything that the average REAL person knows about handguns.
The armorer was inexperienced and likely made a horrible mistake in loading the gun with real ammunition. As a reminder, blanks, yes, BLANKS have killed people before, but no BLANK that I know of has gone clear through someone and ended up wounding a second person. This had to have been a live round of real ammunition and my guess is that it was a full metal jacket bullet that one would typically shoot at a range. These rounds tend to penetrate and exit as opposed to hollow points that are designed to spread out and spend their energy in a wider path of damage. Just a hunch.
Baldwin exercised no safety awareness whatsoever. This is on him.

"Armorer" Gutierrez-Reed highlights the penchant of demorats to pretend giving a title
to the unworthy [but popular amongst the comrades] assumes they have now gained the competency. Like that creature who is the latest Admiral.
In an earlier article, the little airhead said she was always fearful about the loading/unloading of a gun, something any young child in a gun family knows by heart.

Notice the side bar, FTA: "Gun that went off in Alec Baldwin's hands and claimed the life of Halyna Hutchins"
The GUN fired itself while in Baldwin's hands? The GUN claimed the life? It is shockingly disrespectful to publish these absurdities. An innocent woman is dead. How about a little respect and not pretending an inanimate object is responsible for both the action and then killing itself?

The armorer loaded the weapon. The armorer handed the weapon to Baldwin. Baldwin fired the weapon.
The weapon is a vintage colt. The vintage colt is a single action revolver. With a single action revolver, the load should have been a Cowboy load, five blanks loaded with the hammer on an empty chamber.
For a vintage colt to be discharged, the hammer has to be pulled back, thus rotating the chamber to a chamber that has a round in it, then the trigger is pulled to hit the round in the chamber.
For the armorer, was the load a Cowboy load? Did the armorer mark blank rounds different from non-blank rounds?
Why did Baldwin use a loaded weapon to practice fast draws? Did Baldwin check the weapon before playing around with the gun as he supposedly he was practicing fast draws? Why did Baldwin need to discharge the weapon?
The firearm was discharged by Baldwin. Baldwin is at fault for discharging the weapon. The armorer is also at fault for not loading the weapon properly.
Both should suffer both criminal penalties as well as civil penalties.

Had she not been (1) a woman, and (2) the daughter of a well-respected armorer, she wouldn't have gotten near a movie set. Negligence and stupidity were the primary causes of this shooting, but diversity play a role as well. A man probably would have been fired quickly after the first accident.

Baldwin picked up the gun. Baldwin aimed the gun. Baldwin pulled the trigger.
If Baldwin borrowed someone’s car, and the owner filled the car with gas, and Baldwin ran over a pedestrian, is it the car owners fault.

While I am not fond of "defending" a pudgy gummi bear haired satanist, with fashion Fangs and likely antifa tendencies...She DID grow up completely surround by guns, IS a paid Armorer in a very tightly controlled market, by any definition IS an expert.
Rule#1- even before the "Famous 5" is "You cannot Idiot proof ANYTHING, certainly not guns"
Having been around guns since the day I was born, there are certain things I subconsciously take for 'granted' and am constantly surprised that other people just do not know. Some are merely "ignorant"-have never had any experience, some are lazy, sloppy, thus dangerous...some are just flat out idiots. "A good Scare is better than the best Advice" certainly is an aspect of firearms safety, my father triggering a shotgun round into the living room ceiling as a child, is a story that kept me from ever doing the same... some pellets into my back by another "Yute" when I was about 10yo, locked in a lesson for two large families and solidified RIGOROUS rules for hunting behavior for three generations so far(Stay in line, don't fall behind, or let anyone fall behind you, NO shooting at rabbits, no shooting at birds unless you see a patch of sky under them,no shots to the left or right, only in front when you are certain that no one is ahead of you). Some people have never had a Scare, of any kind...or any lessons from a "Scary Man" like a father, Uncle, or Sargent.
Her "less than stereotypical Expert", age, gender, dress and demeanor may have kept the egotistical Know it all about everything "Professionals" around her from taking the things she tried to impart more seriously.
We will have to wait and see WHO put the live rounds into the thing, and when...how SHE did not know about it(unless she did which doesn't make sense), How she did not check the weapon. How the A.D. did not know about it, did not check the weapon...but NONE of that absolves Baldwin of cocking and firing it AT people, nor absolves the victim and director of allowing him to practice doing so. If I see the open end of a barrel, I'm kicking someones ASS, and/or taking the gun from them....and removing myself from that position IMMEDIATELY.

The question that I haven't seen posed is this: Why was there even any live ammo anywhere near the set? And why weren't the firearms secured in the after hours when filming was not occurring instead of being taken out and fired by the film crew using live ammo? I don't know how much insurance coverage a movie production typically carries, but somewhere the tort whore lawyers are salivating.

The Article includes: "According to a police warrant, the Colt was one of three pistols left on a table by Gutierrez-Reed and was handed to Baldwin by British assistant director Dave Halls who told the veteran actor it was 'cold'- not realizing it had been loaded with live rounds."
It seems probable the so-caller "Armorer" was not present during the incident.
Halls should have inspected the Colt to insure it was safe ("Cold") before he handed it to Baldwin. Baldwin should have immediately inspected the Colt to see whether it was in facy cold (assuming Baldwin knew how).
If either inspection had been correctly made the unintended firing would not have occurred.

I understand this was her first gig as armorer. I'll bet it's her last. This was a low budget film, and apparently the producers went with non union camera people and an inexperienced armorer to cut costs. Some accounts indicate the gun was being used for target practice by some of those non union people when no filming was taking place. So a real bullet was left in the chamber and given to Baldwin.

Lots of blame to go around (IMO). Whomever appointed her as armorer chose the wrong person for the job. She was not competent to handle the responsibility. Baldwin should have double-checked her pronouncement of the gun being 'cold'. And of course Baldwin should not have pointed the gun and pulled the trigger.

#32...it was her second film as "Head" armorer, her first was "The Old Way" starring Nick Cage, recently completed...coming soon to a theater near you.(His very 1st western, finished it and is filming yet another at the same location)
She had also worked as asst. armorer on several films, was on "Yellowstone" back in the spring.
The whole situation seems a cluster-Fk...this scene was supposed to be filmed 1st thing in the morning(8:30am),everything was prepped and ready, camera crew walked out...new crew tracked down/brought in, only ONE camera even being manned, Crew/cast sent to Lunch at 12;30, came back and had to move the camera because light had changed, she...the guns, the cart they were on, were sitting outside,"Covid rules". Apparently had been left there since the morning. Unattended? who knows...

Did she actually load the weapon or was it handed to her? From what I read somewhere she wasn't really qualified for the props position. Is this a way to get Alec off the hook. He has been around show business a long time and should know enough to not point a gun at anyone.

I don’t care who loaded the gun or who handed it to whom. The only thing that matters is that Baldwin took the gun, aimed it at another human being and pulled the trigger. Guilty. Guilty. Guilty as hell.

They are clearly setting up the narrative here to lay the blame on the armorer (who deserves much of it), and the director that handed Baldwin the gun. Baldwin is being isolated from blame, as expected. He is just as culpable in my opinion, for both not checking the gun himself, and for making decisions about going ahead after two prior incidents (as producer). I wouldn't have trusted this bimbo to hand me a ham sandwich - much less a gun.
