Newly crowned Olympic gold medalist Kevin Durant and Draymond Green fired back at the media on Saturday for a lack of support in Tokyo following a rough start, telling the critics: "You are an American, too. Act like it." Team USA narrowly defeated France 87-82 in the gold medal match to earn America’s fourth consecutive gold in the event. The U.S. has long dominated the sport, winning 16 titles in 19 appearances, but Tokyo hadn’t started off the way the American’s had hoped.

Words from the "privileged" one............ April 2, 2021 "In a private conversation which appears to date back to last year, the 11-time All-Star attacked the 51-year-old actor and sports podcaster with a flurry of highly profane insults. Durant went on to challenge Rapaport to a fistfight on the streets on New York City before asking for his home address. Deleted. Seriously inappropriate language. Not permitted here. Review Rules & FAQs. The "privileged" one.......... August 06, 2021 "signing a four-year, $198 million extension to stay with the Nets through 2026. Oh Yes, the NBA fined Durant $50,000 for his "insults". Probably the cost of one of his watches.

I used to follow sports much more closely and knew the names of my home team players and many of their rivals. I don't watch much anymore following the antic's of most but I am interested in how our Olympic teams are doing. How can you write an entire article about a team winning the Gold medal and never mention the actual sport that was played? I found that it was basketball by seeing the picture. Sad because we loved watching Jordan years.

I'm generally pleased to hear KD scold the news media for its lack of American solidarity. Good enough. I just wish he would scold US teammates like Gwen Berry, who think it's their prerogative to disrespect the flag and anthem. For KD to break "black solidarity" like that would take some moral fibre.

Thank you, #8. That sort of direct insight is valuable. It was very nice to see the American flag wrapped around the shoulders of another American who had won a medal, and was proud of the country. Adding in the black skin when the race hustlers like BLM make it so difficult to resist their thuggish hate, makes it even a more important and powerful statement. Even though I don't follow NBA, I'll try to make a mental note that Mr. Durant is one of the good guys.

I'm guessing this is basketball, but I can't find a single reference in this article as to what sport it is. I guess they just expect me to know the people's names, but I don't. Okay, I googled Kevin Durant, and just got more of these stories. And then I Wik'ied him, and found you that, yes, he plays basketball. Good for the gold, but this FOX story sucks the way it is written.

WHAT sport? This poor writing does not define in the first paragraph that they are talking about the favorite inner-city passtime until the reader is left to guess from the size of the score that it is basketball. Not that I care but amateurish writing gets me more worked up than a stupid olympic sport won by people because they were born extra tall.

The Washington Post criticized the Biden administration's handling of the southern border crisis Sunday and pushed for a coherent strategy to deal with the record number of migrants trying to enter the U.S. illegally. In an editorial, the Post predicted the "incoherence" of the Biden administration's policies could lead to Democrats losing control of the House and Senate in the 2022 midterm elections, and there was likely nothing in its current strategy that would change that outcome. "In its apparent desperation to fashion an immigration strategy that will impose order on increasingly out-of-control migration, the Biden administration has unleashed a torrent of words and goals untethered to specific policies

It might surprise you to know I support critical race theory. Or, to be more exact, I believe it’s critical to understand – maybe more so than at any other point in our shared history in the U.S. – that there is only one race, the human race. There is no White race, no Black race, no red race, no brown race, no yellow race, no mixed race. There is one critical human race. That’s not a theory, that’s a fact.

Videos from Portland showed a crowd of demonstrators violently shut down an event where Christians gathered to pray on the waterfront – before another clash Saturday afternoon involved Antifascists and alleged Proud Boys members throwing projectiles at each other on a city street. Police officers did not intervene in either confrontation – besides a squad car sounding its siren just feet away. The first instance of violence happened Saturday at an open-air event planned at Tom McCall Waterfront Park near the Battleship Oregon Memorial to be hosted by Artur Pawlowski, a traveling preacher who’s been arrested in Canada for holding in-person worship services in violation of coronavirus restrictions.

The city of Denver spends at least twice as much on homelessness per person as it does on K-12 public school students – and the spending crushes the veterans affairs budget in the state, a new study released Thursday found, according to a report. For comparison, the city reportedly spends between $41,679 and $104,201 on each person experiencing homelessness in a year while only $19,202 on each K-12 public school student over the same period of time. The amount spent on each homeless person in the area is comparable to the average income of area residents.

Democrats who advanced a bill in June to remove statues of white supremacists from the U.S. Capitol ignored a central fact about those figures: All of them had been icons of their party, from Andrew Jackson’s adamantly pro-slavery vice president, John C. Calhoun, to North Carolina Gov. Charles B. Aycock, an architect of the white-supremacist campaign of 1898 that ushered in the era of Jim Crow. At a time when governments, sports teams, schools and other bastions of American society are rushing to expunge legacies of slavery or racism, this was another instance of the Democratic Party’s failure to acknowledge that it did more than any other institution

As the fight over election reform heats up in Congress, the White House is ramping up the rhetoric, declaring that President Biden and Vice President Harris are “incensed by the anti-voter laws that are trampling on our constitutional principles.” It is a mantra repeated on an array of liberal news sites, but the coverage tends to be selective in what constitutional principles are being abridged. "Our constitutional principles" include state power over elections. While the president decries an “unprecedented attack on democracy,” the federalization of elections being pursued by Democrats actually would contravene what the Framers considered a core protection of democracy.

The University of Wisconsin removed a controversial boulder from its Madison campus Friday after the Black Student Union and other activists objected to its description nearly 100 years ago with a racial slur. Chamberlin Rock, which rests atop Observatory Hill, is named after a 19th Century geologist and former university president, Thomas Crowder Chamberlin, whose work centered on glacial deposits, according to a bio on the university’s website. But it was a reporter’s reference to the rock in a nearly century-old Wisconsin State Journal article that prompted the push for its removal. In October 1925, the university had the boulder excavated and placed prominently atop the hill to honor Chamberlin,
