And the absurdity just keeps coming. The latest organization to act as the speech police for its employees is the Federal Reserve. The Fed’s employees are reportedly being trained to “avoid bias” in their language, including avoidance of terms like “Founding Fathers” and “grandfathered.” (Snip) “Bias-free language recognizes diversity and avoids stereotyping, demeaning, or excluding people on the basis of gender, race, ethnic group, religion, age, ability/disability, or sexual orientation,” the guidance states. (Snip) According to Fox News, a Federal Reserve spokesman claims that “The Federal Reserve has no language directives for employees.”

Government regulators have been unhappy with the term 'grandfathered' for many years. They avoid it in written form (laws and administrative rules) but heavily use it conversationally.

I don't choose my words on the basis of diversity diktat. If I choose to say Founding Fathers, it is exactly what I mean to say, and I don't give a tinker's damn if you are offended by it.
I also refuse to play the pronoun game, and have told fellow workers to grow up when they attempt to push that drivel off on me. I will not consent to that sort of nonsense.

Sorry, but I will continue to refer to the Founding Fathers. There were no women who were in the group who met in Philadelphia to write the constitution. There were women who were influential in the thought that went into it (Abigail Adams and Mercy Otis Warren) but they weren't there and they didn't write it. And whoever thought up that hideous phrase birthing person needs to be mocked for the rest of his or her life.

So any reference to "The brave MEN on the beaches of Normandy", is obviously "blacklisted".

Words have meaning.
the term grandfathered is clear, everyone understands what it means, and using 'legacy' to replace 'grandfathering' is wrong.
I am a member of a social fraternity, which gives my sons legacy status, should they choose to join. That means the brothers have to accept my sons, and cannot blackball them.
And, #3, it is a tinker's dam (a temporary small obstruction in a creek to provide water for his metal work,) not tinker's damn.

If they didn't fill their ranks with diversity hires, transsexuals, activists and other types of children they would not need to be concerned with language.

So what else is "biased"? Capital gains...profits...money market....investments....monetary policy....gains and losses....Federal Reserve...??? It never ends with morons.

I have some fairly diverse words of inclusion that are non bias for the 'woke' establishments but I would get banned on Lucianne if I wrote them here.

George Orwell was only off by a few years, he should have called his book 2021 instead of 1984 because we are now living the hell be wrote about in 1949.

So....it's biased to note that there were no 'founding mothers'?
Facts are stubborn things. None of their two centuries late lies change any of the facts of our nearly miraculous founding, and our genius Founding Fathers.

I own my speech, not the government, and will select the words of wisdom I have learned over the years, which far surpasses that of the communists. Get out of my life!
