How about a 1 a.m. curfew on Saturday and Sunday through Labor Day? Together with an order that anyone caught on the street after hours is subject to stop and frisk and detainment until 7 a.m. Of course, Lightfoot would never do anything that might work.

Chances are, according to the Chicago leftist and socialist Democrat politicians who run Chicago, all the shooters and victims are so-called “White Supremacists” who have covertly invaded Chicago peaceful inner city neighborhoods.

Chicago's government has resigned itself that innocent people being shot by firearms is a recurring circumstance that cannot be stopped and therefore will effectively be tolerated. There are not enough police and no where the funds necessary to put a dent in these shootings. There's no end in sight. It will continue and will get worse because these shooters are not being taught civil behavior. They have no respect for human life and they have no respect for, nor fear of, the police.

"Smart Money" is taking the over on the under/over bet of 50 shootings in Chicago on the July 4th weekend. They're already spending their winnings. Lightfoot, with the assistance of Jussie Smollett, is probably writing the script to blame DJT. Script to be released only to non-white reporters.

Say it again, the outright stupidity of a democrat is appalling. They have zero regard for the children, family or friends. If they did they wouldn't be electing these morons into office. Week after week, month after month, year after year the same routine, and when a child is killed, the same routine. As sad as it is they do nothing to fix the problem. They know who the thugs are and they let them run wild. Sickening. And #2 is absolutely correct. Got it..

As long as these barbarians just shoot each other, why would outsiders worry? The voters in Chicago don't seem to care, the politicians clearly don't care how much blood runs in the streets, so I have decided that I'll just stay far away and not worry about their carnage. That is a shame because I have a grandnephew who is quite interested in WW2 history and I'd love to take him to see U-505, the captured WW2 U-boat in a museum in Chicago. But, since I can't legally be armed to protect us in Chicago, and the crime rate is beyond control, I'll not take him into that environment unless some future Chicago leaders get things back under control. Prospects seem dim at this point.

Two things. To poster #12, I believe there's a German U-Boat you can tour, next to the battleship USS Alabama in Mobile, Ala. I could be wrong, as it's been years since I went through there, quite a few tropical storms ago. My own outlook on the Chicongo shootings is, is that it looks like the better shots have all been eliminated and I want to know where they are scoring all of the ammo they shoot up! 43 w/3 dead or 55 w/5 dead is .07% and .09% respectively.

#15, thanks, but that's a US submarine next to the USS Alabama. It's the USS Drum one of the most decorated and successful of the US WW2 submarines. It may have to be the best "sub--stitute". Grin. The attraction of the Chicago U-boat is the spectacular job that they have done displaying it, and a bunch of the ancillary displays about the torpedoes, and how various things work. I have taken some nephews to see the U-505 museum years ago, and wanted to take this grandnephew some day. I may not last long enough for Chicago to clean up it's act.

HeyJackass has the final box score at 4/51, which is some pretty dismal shooting any way you look at it. Look's like Groot's constituency needs to step up its game and spend more time learning how to shoot. Chicago will break 300 homicides this week. Slightly off the pace for 2016, but its still going to be a bumper crop again.
