The GOP wants to make voting harder in Ohio

Ohio Republicans are fond of saying that it’s easy to vote, but hard to cheat in the Buckeye state. Turns out they think voting is a little too easy.(Snip)The ostensible justification for these measures is to protect the “integrity” of elections, even though the 2020 presidential election was the most secure in the nation’s history. Nor is there any evidence to support former President Donald Trump’s ridiculous claim that widespread fraud cost him reelection.Republicans could have examined what made Trump such a flawed candidate and adjusted their message to appeal to a wider swath of voters.

Democrats, other leftists, RINOs, NeverTrumpers, and other tyrannically minded people seem to believe that if they keep saying there is no evidence showing fraud in the 2020 Presidential election that all the evidence will magically disappear. What's worse: They may eventually successfully memory hole it.

In 2008, a Wall Street Journal reporter spent the day as a poll watcher on the east side of Cleveland. He said that the same people kept coming in all day to vote multiple times. He claimed that these people voted three times each by using a simple method -- they would vote as John Smith, John Smith Jr. and again as John Smith Sr. The reporter claimed that despite complaining multiple times, nothing was done.

In our area having to put a postage stamp on the mail-in ballot was deemed to be a ''barrier to voting for disenfranchised communities''. Now the postage is pre-paid, presumably by taxpayers.

There is plenty of supportive data. There is no "evidence" appears to be a selective use of the word evidence as a term of art meaning it was introduced in court, and since we can't get our day in court, lo, no evidence. Tee hee. But it is not irrelevant to note that there were more votes cast in 2020 than people counted in the census, and this is very unusual. There were more absentee votes in Pennsylvania than absentee ballots sent out. Two recounts (Windham, Antrim) that find the Democrats did better before the manual recount. And it is not proof, but it is very suggestive, to observe the Democrats describing past efforts at recount in Maricopa as professionally sound when they were not, and to observe them denouncing the current effort instead of Just Letting It Unroll. They are acting terrified. Now that is not data but it is surely entertainment.
