United Airlines seeks to train 5,000 pilots
by 2030, and wants half of them to be
women and people of color

After halting hiring during the coronavirus pandemic, United Airlines is planning to bring on hundreds of pilots and launching a flight school to prepare the next generation for the cockpit. (snip) At least half of the 5,000 students United hopes to train by the end of the decade will be women and people of color, the airline said. Currently, about 7% of the United’s pilots are women and 13% are people of color.

Sounds like the idea is to train them, but how can you when punctuality, correct math solutions, speaking English, logical thinking, precision and so much more are all "white supremacy?" Train them all you like, but they cannot be trusted to do the incredibly difficult job of piloting a passenger jet unless they relinquish their core beliefs as womyn and POC.

Nice dream, but it's already 2021, and I know I'm not flying in any aircraft with a pilot that has a McDonald's pilot license. It takes years of training to properly fly an aircraft of the size of a passenger jet with about two hundred people on board in a various conditions. Besides, it's not the flying part that takes practice, it's the take offs and landings. It's why the terrorists of 9/11 didn't need to learn how to take off and land. Just be able to turn a plane and aim. The flying part is done by the computer on board.

People may be concerned about all those prospective diverse pilots but through various directions it seems that another problem regarding safe air travel is already here. It seems that our air traffic controller's ranks have been recruited largely with diversity in mind, to the concern of the seasoned veterans who are determined to be the best at what they do.

This will almost to a certainty mean lowered standards for affirmative action pilots. Lowered standards WILL cause more crashes, guaranteed. Many women and minorities are fully capable, but I will bet you not enough are actually interested to make up that quota without lowering standards. Watch for more smoking holes in the ground.

As someone that used to fly three or four times a week. I had just 3.5 million miles on NWA/Delta when I retired. I would never fly on an aircraft manned by an 'Affirmative Action' cockpit crew. To the fools and idiots at United, we don't want to be in an airplane wth the"man/woman/or it" that met all of your affirmative action boxes. If that happens, we will see third world pilots that are as proficient and knowledgeable as the Lion Air or Ethiopia Air that crashed because the pilots didn't know how to fly to their next destination. That's probably why they kept re-engaging the 'autopilot. All American based airlines (not the airline American) needs to hire only the very best. I will be damned if I'm going to let an 'Affirmative Action cockpit' crew fly me into a mountainside. MSgt USAF (ret)

It's a jobs program for unqualified people who could never qualify in order to virtue signal and make diversity quotas. How stupid are liberals? Stupid enough to think that it's better to have an unqualified pilot fly their plane because they are a minority instead of someone who might actually keep them alive. A New York parent who wants to marry their adult biological child is suing to overturn laws banning incest, saying marriage is a matter of 'individual autonomy'. The parent filed the lawsuit in Manhattan federal court on April 1 asking a judge to declare incest laws 'unconstitutional' and unenforceable so that they can wed their offspring in a ceremony in New York City.(Snip) According to the suit, the parent and child regard themselves as a 'PAACNP' couple—'Parent and Adult Child Non-Procreationable' couple—and believe it would 'diminish their humanity' if they could not marry one another.

The NCAA reaffirmed its decision to refuse to hold college championships in states where laws “discriminate” against male athletes who identify as female. The board of governors issued a statement that “firmly and unequivocally” supports the inclusion of transgender athletes in college sports. The statement comes after several states have passed laws preventing biological males from competing in girls’ athletics. Apparently, the NCAA, which governs rules on competition in college sports, thinks it’s OK for biological males to compete against biological females. The only way they can allow this is if they ignore the biology in favor of being fashionable. In truth, the NCAA isn’t doing anything differently than

Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama said that the police-involved killing of a black man in Minnesota, Daunte Wright, shows 'how badly we need to reimagine policing and public safety' in America. 'Our hearts are heavy over yet another shooting of a black man, Daunte Wright, at the hands of police,' the former president and first lady said in a statement on Tuesday.(Snip) In his statement over the shooting, the Obamas said: 'The fact that this could happen even as the city of Minneapolis is going through the trial of Derek Chauvin and reliving the heart-wrenching murder of George Floyd

Daunte Wright, the 20-year-old black man fatally shot during a traffic stop in Minnesota, was “afraid police would do something like this to him,” his former mentor said—as his parents refused to accept it was an “accident.” Jonathan Mason, a youth development specialist who became close with Wright when he was a student at Edison High School in Minneapolis, said he, Wright and other young black men often talked about how to handle interactions with cops.(Snip) “We talked about this daily. We talked about police brutality. We talk about these things in the black community.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association, a cartel controlling the multibillion-dollar college athletics business, may be painting itself into a corner. Probably because it is a creature of the higher education industry that has gone off the deep end in its commitment to far-left politics, the NCAA is taking an extreme position on transgenderism and apparently seeking a confrontation with the State of Florida if it passes a law currently under consideration that would limit participation in women’s sports to biological women. (snip) Florida’s Governor Rick Scott is not cowering in fear as 2 tweets yesterday demonstrate

President Joe Biden suggested on Monday that the police shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright over the weekend in Minneapolis could potentially have been “intentional” as he urged calm while investigators work to conclude what happened.“I think we got to wait and see what the investigation shows,” Biden said. “And the entire investigation. You all watched, I assume as I did the film, which is fairly, the body cam, which is fairly, fairly graphic. Question is, was it an accident, was it intentional? It remains to be determined by a full blown investigation.”

Daunte Wright choked a woman and threatened to shoot her if she did not hand over $820 she had stuffed in her bra, court papers obtained by allege. That is the case that led to a warrant for his arrest at the time he was shot and killed by police officer Kimberly Potter in Minnesota on Sunday, leading to days of unrest. And online speculation that he did not know there was a warrant out for his arrest is false, has learned.(Snip) Wright was due to face trial on a charge of attempted aggravated robbery—with a possible maximum sentence of 20 years

The Pentagon is attempting to develop a coronavirus vaccine that would protect recipients from all variants and add implantable microchip technology that can detect the virus in the body. Retired Col. Matt Hepburn, an Army infectious disease physician leading the Pentagon's 's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's pandemic response, introduced the technology and hopes it also will combat future pandemics. During a CBS "60 Minutes" interview on Sunday, Hepburn showed a green tissue-like gel that could be added to future vaccines as the technological aspect for detecting the virus before people become sick. “You put it underneath your skin and what that tells you is

The words “epic” or “magnificent” are becoming cliched because they’re constantly used as clickbait headlines for things that are anything but “epic” or “magnificent.” That’s a shame because both words apply with their original force to Tucker Carlson’s opening monologue on Monday night. He brought both logic and passion to explaining that the Democrat party’s open borders policy is deliberately intended to import people who will vote for Democrats. In hindsight, what he said is completely obvious but too few people think about illegal immigration in the terms Tucker did. More must if we are to preserve our liberty-oriented, merit-based, constitutional republic.
