President Joe Biden urged Louisiana residents to 'pay attention and be prepared' today as Hurricane Ida approaches the US Gulf Coast - Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards said today that the storm will be 'one of the strongest hurricanes to hit anywhere in Louisiana since at least the 1850s.'The impending hurricane, currently at a Category 2, could reach a Category 4 designation on the Saffir-Simpson scale by the time it makes landfall Sunday afternoon or evening - the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina - generating winds up to 140MPH and submerging a mass of Louisiana shoreline under several feet of rainfall. Biden implored local authorities

Someone over there commented that the left would like a really bad storm because it would take Afghanistan out of the news cycle . I wouldn't say that the left is morally bankrupt, but you can say it.

If the storm isn't as bad as they're hyping it to be, it will be a comparison with Bush and Katrina. Biden will be lauded for his expert handling, as though he'd have anything to do with it. Jill will show up to hand out cookies and pat little black children's heads.

Did Biden get all the people out of Nawlins? Ha! This will replace Afghanistan on the news and we will never return to it! Americans will be slaughtered in the streets but we will be on to The Green New Deal because of “Climate Change”! AOC will now take control of the ship of state! We are RUBES to be played!

Shades of Kabul...."Uhmmm it's now toooo late for us to get you out, just hunker down in whatever place you think is best and...try to get in touch with us after the storm. We'll see what we can do".

If Biden says, "shelter in place," chances are close to 100% that it is bad advice. Get your hatchett and ax ready so that you can chop through the roof after you get in the attic to keep from drowning. Maybe you can figure a way to moor a boat to your house so that it does not float away before you need to use it.

So, Crazy Joe says 'shelter in place'......if I wasn't already gone, and I would be, this would be the final thing to convince me to get out.

Sorry #3, but the Lie-Berals in this country left "morally bankrupt" behind years ago.
Today's American Lie-Berals are pure evil -- and I do mean Nazi Gestapo level evil!!!! They wouldn't know anything moral if it bit them on the butts!!!!

"Shelter in place." That's the same advice he gave Americans in Kabul. That's political-speak for "put your head between your legs and kiss your butt goodbye."

Stop with the Chicken Little BS. Will the hurricane be strong? Probably. But the strongest in 170 years? No. Besides, weather records haven't been kept for that long, and even if they have some weather info from that time period, how accurate could they possibly be.

Shelter in place? You mean like in Afghanistan? Back when Katrina came throufh, they evacuated, and Dems claimed Bush wauted too long for that. The peole who died were among the ones who stayed.
So Biden wants peoplw to stick around to what? Drown? And leave more of Earth's remaining resources for their Elite betters?
That's what the whole global warming, anti-carbon garbage is. These elites think these are limited resources and they need to think of ways to scam everyone else out of them so THEY can live it up.

People can shelter in place all they want but if the winds are strong enough, that place will fly apart and you'll be drenched and pretty windblown. Then there is the debris flying around. So this shelter in place advice is bad, but typical of our demented fake president.

They can stay. They can go. Right now I can't worry about them. It is all part of living along the Gulf of Mexico. I live in Oklahoma and the best notice I can get is the day of with a color coded chart of what the odds are of a tornado. Had one hit my little town a couple of years ago. (btw, we built back without federal funds) Good luck to the people of Louisiana.

While it's devastating in the storm's path, is it really the 140 year storm, or just the 100 year storm? They keep going back further.

Two of the most useless fools that I can think of, Dopey Joe and Doofus Jon Bel Edward's are the last people I would take advise from. We're ready, we've had plenty of supplies laid in, there's 400 gallons of propane for the whole house generator and the well/pump works. We were about 15 miles from the eye when Katrina passed by and we're probably going to be at least 100 miles from Ida, so we're in a lot better shape, now. You have to be wary, but you also have to take the media fearmongers with a grain of salt. Fear sells, and they are really selling right now. You can bet that the ferals will be doing their early Christmas shopping tomorrow, but it will be in the dim run city, not out here in the rural areas.

Why do stories like this ALWAYS gin up the hysteria?? Katrina was documented to be a Cat 5 but weakened after landfall.
ALL hurricanes weaken after landfall. One of the great lessons learned from Katrina was how all the government money spent to fortify and repaid levees was siphoned off and spent elsewhere and that emergency food supplies being stolen fromWalmarts inluded 52” flat screen TVs

Be interesting to see how the local and state FEMA groups react this time. Last time, they folded in five minutes and started screaming at Bush.
