Biden should have gone to Dover

Original Article

Posted By: earlybird, 8/28/2021 7:12:22 PM

A nation horrified by its first surrender in its nearly 250-year history was further humiliated when Biden refused to go to Dover Air Force Base to pay his respects to the 13 Marines who arrived by casket. (snip) As commander-in-chief, Biden is responsible for those deaths. His poor judgment killed those Marines. He owed it to them to own up to this. He owed it to the families to share their grief. And yes, out of 13 families, I expect someone could make a scene. I expect someone would lash out at him. I expect that someone would make Biden feel very, very bad. But that is part of the job.

I want to believe Biden maintains enough sentience to realize he's sold his soul for historical greatness but instead has been exposed as the shell of a man he's always been. He's dog poop on the world's shoe.

We all know President Trump did not just do his duty by going to Dover. His wife was with him and they went above and beyond what was expected every single time. Even though Biden was probably going to be treated with icy politeness, he and his wife should have gone to pay their respects. I think his staff are terrified at this point to have him out there.

At least these families will be spared some maudlin sentiment about the Biden sons. I just cringe everytime Joe does his wallowing-in-grief act. We know that his son Hunter should probably have been court-martialed or, at least, given a dishonorable discharge from the Navy. Beau may have been more decent, but he was a REMF, not a combat commander. AND we did not die in combat as Joe came close to implying just recently. I have always thought Biden, the ultimate politician, had Beau sign up so that the service of the son would reflect onto the father, a stolen valor situation.

Mentioned in the article...a 14th has now died. Had been deployed for ONE WEEK. In a danger filled evacuation totally surrounded by potential hostile people..was there NO soldiers with local knowledge and frontline experience that could have done these tasks? Ones who could tell the differences between locals and potential visiting terrorist warriors? Reading body language, assessing dress, familiar with the "Look" in a bad guys eyes?? Maybe even able to speak the language, know the customs, having taken and returned fire??

I don’t know when the aircraft carrying the deceased armed service members arrived at Dover AFB. Remember John Kirby, at his news conference said that he was not at liberty to tell the country when the aircraft was scheduled to arrive. Why would that be classified information to be held from the American people? Biden has been sojourning at his Delaware mansion almost every weekend since he assumed the Presidency, but why not this Friday? I don’t know why Biden as President and Commander in Chief would not be at Dover AFB when the aircraft was scheduled to arrive. I believe Trump was always there when military casualties arrived from abroad? I don’t know if Biden showed up at this point, but if he was to be there, you can bet that it would probably have been arranged for the aircraft to arrive in the middle of the night as a closed event with no media present. The reason I surmise that, is that the last thing that Biden would want to happen is for him to be confronted by very angry and hostile group of military parents and spouses that would be televised to the world. No doubt we will know what actually happened at Dover AFB by tomorrow evening.

First of all, this would NOT have happened under Trump. Second of all, all the secret service in the world couldn't have kept these parents away from Biden's throat and I doubt they would have tried. Their sons and daughters blood is on his hands. They don't want him there. It is a "dignified transfer" that would have been diminished by his presence. Let them grieve in peace. When intellectuals and public figures espouse dangerous ideas, the effects can be catastrophic on society. I have always been a fan of renowned poet Munawwar Rana, but his statement that the Taliban cannot be considered terrorists but can, at best, be called aggressive, is shocking.
