A Pennsylvania state court Judge has issued a preliminary injunction preventing Pennsylvania from taking any further steps to perfect its certification of the election, including but not limited to appointment of electors and transmission of necessary paperwork to the Electoral College, pending further court hearings and rulings. The ruling upholds an injunction from earlier in the week, and is significant because of the findings made in the Opinion released tonight.

Nearly three million people in England will be offered free Vitamin D supplements this winter.
The Government will deliver doses of the 'sunshine vitamin' to all care home residents as well as people classified as 'clinically extremely vulnerable'.
Deliveries will be free of charge, starting in January, providing four months' worth of supplements to last 2.7million people through the winter months.The supplements support general health, in particular bone and muscle health, but around one in five Britons have Vitamin D deficincies. There is some evidence suggesting that it may help people fight coronavirus, and the link between the two is still being researched with larger-scale trials needed.

On Friday, Carter Page — the former CIA informant whom the FBI nonetheless targeted for warrants under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) — filed an explosive $75 million lawsuit against the key actors in the FISA surveillance scandal known as Spygate or Obamagate. While U.S. Attorney John Durham’s report into this matter is still forthcoming, Page appears to have decided to take matters into his own hands and pursue justice in the courts. The lawsuit names a host of defendants, including the federal government of the United States, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Justice (DOJ), former FBI Director James Comey, former FBI Deputy Director

Yesterday, Scott wrote about the Georgia lawsuit filed by Sidney Powerll challenging the outcome of presidential vote in that state. I think it’s fair to say that Scott expressed mild skepticism about that lawsuit.
Ed Morrissey also expresses skepticism in this post. Ed considers the claim that software used by Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, and deployed at the last minute by Georgia’s Governor and Secretary of State (both Republicans) this year, converted large numbers of votes for President Trump into votes for Joe Biden. He writes:

On January 5. Georgians return to the polls for two elections. Incumbent senator David Perdue is in a runoff contest with Socialist Jon Ossoff. Perdue led Ossoff in the general election but failed to break the 50% threshold to win outright. The other election is a special election to fill the remainder of the term of Johnny Isakson, who resigned on December 31, 2019, for health reasons. Kelly Loeffler was appointed to fill the vacancy. She will face off against Democrat Raphael Warnock, who is running on an anti-police, anti-military, racial-identity-trumps-all platform

It is clear the Pennsylvania 2020 election was wrought with fraud and criminal conduct.
President Trump led by nearly 700,000 votes on election night.
Democrats dumped hundreds of thousands of votes to steal the state from the Trump Campaign. On Wednesday the Pennsylvania state legislature held a hearing on the 2020 election issues and irregularities. One witness described the huge “spikes” in Pennsylvania during the hearing and the crowd gasped.

Thanksgiving is over. Many people celebrated with just their household unit, but many others did not. In fact, up to 50 million Americans are traveling over the Thanksgiving weekend, according to the American Automobile Association, or AAA. The comings and goings of US travelers belie the fact that the Covid-19 pandemic continues to surge. The US reported 2,046 deaths Wednesday -- the highest one-day coronavirus death toll the country has reported since early May, Johns Hopkins University data shows. The country also hit a new daily hospitalization record, with 89,954 people currently hospitalized for Covid-19, according to the Covid Tracking Project.

The Justice Department is changing its execution protocols, so that federal executions are no longer required to be done by lethal injection only.
The amended rule, as reported by the AP, allows the government to use lethal injection or “any other manner prescribed by the law of the state in which the sentence was imposed.” The rule was published in the Federal Register on Friday.
Those other manners include “electrocution, inhaling nitrogen gas or death by firing squad.” The amended rule goes into effect on Dec. 24 and comes as the DOJ has scheduled five executions during this lame-duck period.

Trump’s lawyers vowed to appeal to the Supreme Court despite the judges' assessment that the “campaign’s claims have no merit.”

I’m only a first-generation native, but this ludicrous place feels like my ancestral homeland. My home as a baby was just a few blocks from Santa Monica State Beach in Los Angeles. As the years passed, I moved progressively further east, away from the glorious Pacific Ocean of my childhood. At one point I lived as far away as France, but gradually wandered home, washed inexorably back.
Before I was born, my east coast parents moved here so my dad could surf on the weekends. I never surfed, but my friends and I became proficient boogie boarders. I met my first boyfriend and encountered my first shark on Santa Monica beach.

Trump and his team deserve great credit for brokering the Abraham Accords but the landmark diplomatic developments in the Middle East recently are less about him than about his successor. The Accords, the surprise visit by Bibi Netanyahu to Saudi Arabia, and now the liquidation of Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh are all best understood as a vote of no confidence in Biden. Neither Israel nor its Sunni neighbors trusts the team that negotiated the Iran nuclear deal to be any tougher next year with Biden at the helm instead of Obama.

Conventional wisdom is that COVID-19 has caused thousands of deaths in the United States and nearly 1.5 million worldwide. Republicans got two pieces of good news from Donald Trump yesterday. With the election mostly behind everyone except Trump himself, the GOP needs to focus on the last question still to be settled — control of the Senate. Two runoffs in Georgia on January 5th will determine whether Mitch McConnell or Chuck Schumer control the Senate floor, and Republicans worried that Trump might turn off his most dedicated followers with his repeated claims of election fraud in the Peach State. Yesterday, Trump told reporters that he will hold at least one get-out-the-vote rally for Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, as soon as tomorrow:

As it turns out, attorney Sydney Powell has plenty of firepower to back up her claims about the theft of the 2020 presidential election, including highly regarded electronic intelligence experts. Foremost is Dr. Navid Keshavarz-Nia, a cybercrimes investigator who has worked with the CIA, NSA, FBI, and military counterintelligence. In September, the NYT described him as the “smartest guy in the room” and the Washington Monthly a “hero” while detailing his role in exposing a grifter posing as a CIA spy. Given his favorable affidavit for President Trump, chances are good the mainstream media will soon question his credibility.

We need to begin with what most people almost surely know, despite the predictable disclaimers and pro forma expressions of doubt emerging all over the infoscape, namely, the 2020 election is in process of being stolen in what amounts to an insidiously deceptive coup d’état. It is fair to assume that this is common knowledge.
The circumstantial evidence is dispositive.
Biden was rarely able to manage a rally of more than a dozen or two stalwarts while Trump’s rallies could top 50,000;
Biden garnered more votes than even Obama did, a sublime unlikelihood;
the media called for Biden when Trump was comfortably ahead in the ballot count;

Why do we do this to ourselves every four years? We talk incessantly about the latest poll in Florida and Michigan and Pennsylvania and Arizona until we are blue in the face. Then they turn out to be wildly wrong.
When will we ever learn? It reminds me of that old saying which I think was from Einstein, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”
Polling, at least the old-school style, is over. Done.
I don’t need to go through a long list of reasons why nobody should take pollsters seriously anymore, but a few data points are instructive.

Democratic candidate Joe Biden likely won the presidency not based on any particular policies but because the media refused to cover several key stories and issues, according to a new analysis. A survey of 1,750 Biden voters in Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, Nevada, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania — all but one, North Carolina, called for the former vice president — conducted on behalf of the Media Research Center asked respondents what they knew about eight issues or stories MRC believes were not sufficiently covered by the press. Of those surveyed, 17 percent said they would not have cast their ballot for Biden if they had known about at least one

Seven people, all from different households, not only gathered for Thanksgiving but distributed to the media pictorial evidence of them flouting mask mandates and social distancing edicts.
No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space.
Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

Will Joe Biden and his foreign-policy team accept the extraordinary gift Team Trump is leaving for them under the Christmas tree — or is their hatred for the president so all-consuming that they will toss it in the garbage?
I’m talking about the Abraham Accords, peace deals between Israel and various Arab states — the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan — that have sought the Jewish state’s destruction since its founding in 1948. Normalization has proceeded so quickly, Dubai already has a kosher restaurant, and its supermarkets are stocking Israeli agricultural products festooned with Stars of David — a science-fictional sight only a year ago.

Michael Flynn (Ret.) released a statement this Thanksgiving thanking “every single patriot who circled me with their prayers, wisdom, and kindness.”Former National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn (Ret.) released a statement today, shortly after being pardoned by President Trump. Flynn was targeted by the outgoing Obama administration on charges of “Russia collusion,” and pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI when put under pressure. He withdrew his plea when further evidence was revealed. Under the Trump administration, the Department of Justice sought to drop all charges, but the judge refused to do so.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday reflected on some of the most memorable moments during his two-year tenure heading the State Department, in a wide-ranging interview on "Special Report." "I haven't had a chance to reflect on it," Pompeo told Bret Baier. "I guess if I were to give you my quick response, it was really something to come back from Pyongyang with three Americans and travel home with them from Asia and return them to their families."
Pompeo was referring to the May 2018 release of three Americans detained in North Korea -- all were accused of anti-state activities.
