Thanksgiving Day is an annual holiday to celebrate the blessings of the past year. But not everyone is grateful to be from the United States of America.Professional athletes in the US are now cheerleaders in anti-American hate. They kneel down for the US Anthem out of pure hatred for the country of their birth. The Detroit Lions traditionally play a game every Thanksgiving Day. This is an American tradition. This Thanksgiving both quarterbacks for the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans kneeled for the US anthem. They hate their country — even on Thanksgiving.President Trump weighed in.

Kneeling on the last nail in the NFL coffin. The one chance you might have had to get a few more viewers back. And you blew it.

Soon they won't have the State of the Art Football Field to kneel, instead, they'd be lucky to find a high school football field with wooden bleachers. My prayer for Thanksgiving was for the NFL, NBA, MLB and other pro athletics to fail and bankrupt for disrespecting the American flag and the First Responders who made this country Great and Powerful. God Bless America and have mercy with those Stuck on STUPID.

I'm glad they did. It just validates my decision to turn my back on the NFL, and take the money that I would've spent on tickets and merchandise and spend it on more worthwhile pursuits...

First time missed watching the Detroit Lions play on Thanksgiving - it's an anti-NFL thing. Am so glad that decision wasn't changed at last minute. If Matthew Stafford, one of the best, if not the best. quarterbacks in the NFL, had been seen kneeling, it would have broken my heart and ruined Thanksgiving. Am so happy that original decision was kept.

Hmmm . . . so, they knelt during the National Anthem? I didn't see that . . . I haven't watched an NFL game all season and because of this and similar acts of disrespect, I won't be watching either the NFL, or NBA games. That's is not to say, the I don't like football, or basketball, because I do like them.

I am proud to be an American, a successor of the Pilgrims, who believed in Freedom, self-determination and equal justice for all human beings, not the slave-owning Jamestown settlers who are the forebears and successors of your precious Democrats.

I was a life-long NFL NE Patriots fan. Had been to many games at the stadium (spent a lot of money on parking, tickets and concessions), and never missed a televised game. When Kaepernick began his antics, I became disgusted. I tossed all my jerseys, t-shirts etc and haven't watched a game for years. I am not even slightly interested and do not miss it. I would like to thank the two multi-millionaire quarterbacks named in this article for showing their true colors and ensuring I will never consider viewing that crap again!

Just started to get into football when the kneeling started. So sad it's still going on. I saw this game for about 2 min. Even I, as a novice football "fan", knew it was a lousy game because the score was too high. Maybe instead of kneeling, they should practice and concentrate more on their game? It'll be a long time before I watch a game even for 2 min. Enough is enough.

In a related matter, the Syracuse University basketball team members have added the word equality to their jerseys.
Interesting. A group of genetic freaks, exploited by their university, play a game where dropping out of school ius encouraged by the rules, to score some NBA money early. One and done is the goal.
What is the value of a basketball scholarship at Syracuse University? Over a 4 year period, tuition and fees close to 300,000 dollars, add to that about 50,000 dollars for fees, room and board, add to that the cost of special tutors and counselors, and you are at 400,000 dollars for those poor lads.
Who pays for those scholarships? Regular students who are not genetic freaks.
That makes equality a joke, doesn't it?
Is Syracuse any different than other major basketball schools? No. The game, with rules tailored to allow thuggish streetball playing, to accommodate the players, is a joke, with equality written in caps.

Realizing this is a continuing trend, thoughts turn to those buried at Arlington Memorial Cemetery and elsewhere around the world. These spoiled brats (who think they are heroes) are denigrating and showing contempt for something our loved ones and others so bravely fought and sacrificed to protect and defend, and many still do - and will. God bless them all.

I'm going on my fifth season of not watching the NFL. I can't even tell you who won the last super bowl games and don't care.
Yesterday we were guest at a friends house and they are still NFL fans no matter what. Some people are not phased by the disrespect shown to our country and hatred of police started by a quarterback activist who doesn't play any more.
I have turned my back on the NFL, MLB and decades of not watching the NBA. When all this kneeling madness touches college football and baseball I'll stop watching all sports.
The NBA for example doesn't realize that the people in the stands (mostly rich whites) spend money to see them play but still tout BLM in the face of it. Lebron James is one step away from playing in neighborhood lots or riding on the back of a sanitation truck if he keeps it up. When the stands are empty and support is gone those million dollar players might be negotiating a 12K contract just to keep playing. They are too stupid to realize they are all one step away from extinction.

Matthew Stafford's bent knee was a symbol of him begging the black players on his and his opponent's team not to injure him onto the list of white players with collapsed lungs, broken bones and dislocated joints.
It probably won't work in the long run.
He's still a white man.

It is hard for me to use the term hate or the term despise because by the measure I deal, it will be dealt to me the same. But these people not only hate my country, my flag, my constitution and my President today; they hate and despise all the blood, sweat and treasure all my my fellow patriots, including Abe Lincoln have given to preserve it. What is not to hate about the NFL, their owners, their players and their allegiance to the People's Republic of China?

Not watching these overpaid, spoiled little children play with their balls has been much more satisfying that sitting through one of their boring games and watching imbecile-level commercials. I don't know which is more disgusting, watching blacks disrespect the rest of the population by flouting what they have been given from the rest of America through force of taxation because they are too incompetent to earn and build it themselves or watching whites pretend to be in total support of blacks because they are afraid of being called silly names. My solution is to ignore everything they do and watch them all fall into obscurity when the funding runs out.

How does this work? Television networks bid to purchase the right to broadcast football games. The highest bidder gets the rights. The bidder then sells advertising time to various companies. The ad rates are pegged to the number of viewers. Kneeling players serve as an inducement to stop watching. Viewer rates go down. Do not ad rates then go down also? Seems simple enough for me.
I used to watch football. No more. Tube stays OFF. Can't count me, I have books to read.

I have not watched a down of the NFL in the last 4 seasons.
No, I am not boycotting them. A boycott indicates a temporary stoppage of something. The NFL has lost me permanently. There is nothing they could do to ever win me back. Same for the NBA.
Thanks to their "woke" demands and actions, college football joined that list this year too.
And I can honestly say I don't miss any of them in the least. I need doctors and farmers, police and soldiers. But I don't need overpriced athletes playing kids games to preach to me.

If these incredibly ignorant anti-American ingrates seek to inflict their political malignancies and log stupidities on the viewers, loyal Americans, their formerly open minds suddenly snapped shut like forty pound Alaskan bear traps, will tune them out permanently, give up the sport for good. These moral defectives (who think they're so pure) have no right lecturing us on social niceties, or on anything else based on what they think about us. They know nothing of what some of us who were always on the side of the angels have done. Essentially, they can enjoy their withering careers and their shrinking paychecks. Then they can go to hell.
I say this as a professional golfer who never saw among thousands of American colleagues even the slightest hint of anti-Americanism. For the most part, professional golf has managed not to put itself into a political thicket. I hope it stays that way.
