Victor Davis Hanson:
If Trump Takes a Lesson from Andrew Jackson,

Donald Trump is nearing a crossroads. Those who allege that he has endangered the tradition of smooth presidential transitions by not conceding immediately after the media declared him the loser suffer amnesia. When Trump was elected in 2016, the Washington establishment lost its collective mind. The top echelon of the FBI and CIA were still spreading a fraudulent Christopher Steele dossier paid for by the campaign of his opponent, Hillary Clinton, and the Democratic National Committee.

Sounds to me like VDH wants him to concede, or put all his evidence in front of the media. Then he wants him to focus on the Senate in GA. He ignores the fact that, if they steal this LANDSLIDE, what would be the point of running again, for Trump or really any R?

Not you too, VDH. Disappointing and pathetic. "But Trump’s other alternative is bleaker. Currently, Trump-affiliated lawyers claim they can prove their bombshell allegations of historic voting fraud by leftists and foreign interests. They further claim that Trump was robbed not of a close election but of a veritable landslide, constituting the greatest scandal in U.S. history. But so far none of these advocates have produced the requisite whistleblowers, computer data or forensic evidence to prove their astounding charges. If they do not produce it in a few days, and if Trump pivots to put his fate in their hands, then the pilloried Republicans may well lose the Senate races in Georgia. And with that historic setback he would endanger his legacy, his influence and perhaps a crack at a second presidential term."

"Jackson stormed back in 1828 to an overwhelming populist victory fueled by a righteously aggrieved following." 1828 is not 2020 or '24. As we can see from this election, he who controls the machines and counting controls the elections. Supposedly PDT won by a landslide...what good is another landslide. This one was fueled by "cold anger", which is no different than being "righteously aggrieved." The time is now...or likely never.

VDH may have lost me forever with this. It is utterly ridiculous to compare President Trump to Gore or Hillary. Those two didn't win their respective races due to personality faults-not to mention their lack of real accomplishments or conscience ( and the fact that neither was able to win even using forms of voting chicanery employed at that time ( hanging chads, etc). Ain't buying ANY of it, Vic...

In my lifetime I have witnessed the JRK assassination, the RKF Assassination, the MLK assassination, The Nixon bloodless assassination, the repeated attempt to remove DJT. In most cases we were assured the culprit acted alone and there was no Deep state involvement. Now at 71, I have witnessed the greatest theft of my lifetime in yet another attempt to cancel President Trump. The Media and the Government expect us to accept the idea that there is no election fraud" in the US. If there is no rational honest investigation of this election, I can see no reason to ever vote again. What assurance do we have that next time the decision won't again be made for us. I as too old to believe that the "government is here to help" , "trust the process", and they'll "respect us in the morning". I will not accept the word of Frank LaRosa, Ohio Secretary of State, that there is no such thing as election fraud as reported by the NYT. I, personally, have had quite enough of the "big lie"

This was posted on WJ at 1 am last night. Did VDH not read the lawsuit filed earlier by Ms. Powell? Attached to the lawsuit are affidavits from witnesses and other proof. I'm not sure what people expect or would accept as proof. This is complex stuff and there is tons of evidence, but you have to read it.

I'm sorry, but while VDH is quite brilliant, he missed one thing here. If President Trump doesn't prevail now there will be no 2024 election. Well, there might be a show election, but it will be even more crooked than this one. And Trump probably won't even be around to run even if he wants to. "They" have already promised to hound him and his entire family into destruction with the full power of the U.S. Government, in every way possible. If President Trump does not prevail now, I'm just about positive that America as we knew it will no longer exist by 2022, much less 2024. And as incredible as President Trump's personal energy is,. more than most men even ten years younger; even if he survives the Deep State's machinations, I doubt that in 4 years he will have anywhere near what it will take to win and lead the remnants of us patriots out of the ashes.

Biden's first thing will be to legalize 35 million illegal aliens. They can then vote (legally) in future elections. There won't be a need for voter fraud from here on out because democrats will bribe former illegals with free stuff (free housing, healthcare, college, internet, tv, cable, iPhones, etc.) to keep voting democrat. That's 35 million additional democrat votes. And that doesn't include chain migration and future amnesties. Next up? Gun control.

Almost all of the above comments plus, (1) waiting until 2024 gives the media and the democrats four more years to lie about him and defame his character. Lacking the communication tool of Twitter and the White House bully pulpit he will have no way to defend himself. By 2024, what is left of his reputation will be utterly destroyed. (2) If they get away with the cheating/theft done in this election it will only be perfected and more extensive. He will suffer a truly humiliating loss. (3) Righteous indignation won't be much use to a demoralized, disenfranchised population just trying figuring out how to survive in the new socialist/communist America where the constitution, bill of rights and rule of law mean nothing. (4) By 2024, there may not be much of the America we know and love for which to fight. The president and his team must fight NOW for free and fair elections or there will never be another one. They must take advantage of every opportunity to inform the American people NOW of the extent of the fraud and the means of deception. I think VDH missed the boat on this one.

Hope everyone realizes how much is weighting on the two Georgia Senate races, and maintaining the Senate Majority. Nancy has a very small majority, and will have a very difficult time in the House. The 2022 House races look a lot better for Republicans, and typically the minority party gains seats in the first term of the opposite party. Majority of key states remained in Republican control which means better redistricting. Lastly, people need to get more involved, become elections observers, and lawyers need to learn how to counter Marc Elias who has been altering election systems around the country to favor Progressive Democrats

Sorry, Victor, but if President Trump doesn't find a way to stop Creepy Uncle Joe Biden from stealing this election, no Republican will ever be able to win another presidential election. The Demon-Rats will have mastered vote cheating with no consequences. So they will never go back to fair and honest elections again. They will just keep on doing that cheating, and I'm sure it will infect all other major elections. One-party dictatorship soon to follow (followed immediately by Civil War 2!!!!!)

On the positive side, whatever else happens in the next two weeks, there is a chance with 8 seats undecided that the House will flip. Republicans lead in all eight, and in three I believe the Dems have conceded. If not all 8 seats, the majority still will be tiny. If we hold the Georgia Senate seats, even if the challenge to the massive fraud does not carry, Biden and his commies will have a hard time doing anything given the state of the House and Senate. In that case, a new fight is just beginning, and it will have to first of all secure a legitimate election in 2012. All Americans are disgusted by this shoddy election, whether they see the fraud or not. Mail in ballots will be ended. Then there are two years to establish voting machines that must be standardised and mandated in every state that cannot be rigged. I understand the sense of despair if Biden steals the presidency. But we can't throw in the towel if that does happen. And there is good reason to believe that we can fight the totalitarians and still win.

VDH has been around DC too long. They have a deep-seated idea that whoever is in that White House, it’ll be alright. We have come to the point where nothing may turn America around if THIS particular election theft is allowed. So Biden takes office fraudulently and we keep the Senate. The GOP Senate leadership will not fight the DS and they will get next to nothing accomplished. They will not talk about much less fight the fact the CIA, DOJ and FBI are now appendages of the Democrat party. Kevin McCarthy over in the House is not going to fight Biden. Democrats are out for revenge. They are intending to roll over Republicans.

It is depressing to consider that Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives committee of inquiry into the events of January 6 will probably not be generally exposed as the contemptible fraud that it is by the tainted and corruptly partisan national political and social media. It has already been adduced beyond challenge that President Trump advised his followers on January 6, if they went to the Capitol, to “demonstrate peacefully and patriotically.” On listening to his speech again, it is completely unexceptionable, and he gives clearly his complaints about the voting and vote-counting procedures.

Most Americans today have a romanticized (and extraordinarily narrow) historical understanding of the conflict that we call the Civil War. In their imaginations, it goes something like this: With passions inflamed by a moral renaissance in the North regarding the institution of slavery in the South, the two sides decided to go to war over the issue. In the end, the evil South was righteously razed by the armies of the North, and thus, slavery was ended, and the former slaves made American citizens, as Abraham Lincoln intended.
