Longtime GOP fundraiser Elliott Broidy has been charged in a criminal information with conspiring to act as a foreign agent as he lobbied the Trump administration on behalf of Malaysian and Chinese government interests, an indication he is likely to soon plead guilty in the case to resolve the allegations against him. Prosecutors unsealed the 31-page information against Broidy on Thursday, outlining how they believe he took millions in undisclosed money to end a U.S. investigation into a billion-dollar embezzlement of a Malaysian state investment fund and, separately, to return outspoken Chinese exile Guo Wengui to his home country.
Voters in a handful of New Hampshire towns including Goffstown, Kingston and Seabrook have received mailers containing request forms for absentee ballots that appeared to be from their town clerks — but came from an unknown entity, possibly from outside New Hampshire. “State law requires that a mailing such as this contain the identity of the entity mailing and distributing the form. No such identification accompanies the attached mailer,” a news release from the Attorney General’s Office stated. The mailers that appeared in Goffstown had no return address, but came in what looked like a hand-addressed envelope. The postmark was from Kearny, N.J.

Early Thursday morning, federal agencies raided a house in Hartland, Michigan and arrested six men: Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Ty Garbin, Kaleb Franks, Daniel Harris, and Brandon Caserta.

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles prosecutors on Thursday charged rapper Tory Lanez with shooting artist Megan Thee Stallion during an argument earlier this year. Lanez is accused of shooting at Megan Thee Stallion’s feet, hitting her, after she left a SUV during a fight in the Hollywood Hills on July 12, according to a release. He faces two felony charges — assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. A message sent to his representative was not immediately returned.

New voting rules in Massachusetts will now allow ballots cast before Election Day to be counted even if the voter has died. The state legislature has changed earlier voting rules due to the coronavirus pandemic and will now allow the inclusion of votes by anyone who died after casting an early ballot. Israel and Jordan reached an agreement allowing flights to cross over both countries’ airspace, the Transportation Ministry announced on Thursday. The deal allows flights crossing over one country to also fly over the other. The agreement will significantly shorten the length of flights from Israel to the Gulf and East Asia, cutting the time it takes to travel between countries and cutting gas costs and pollution. It will also allow the UAE and Bahrain, which recently made peace with Israel, along with other countries in the region, to fly over Israeli airspace.
A Carrollton mayoral candidate was in custody Thursday after being arrested on charges of mail ballot fraud, according to the Texas Attorney General’s Office. Zul Mirza Mohamed, 39, was taken into custody on Wednesday and he remained in the Denton County Jail on Thursday. A bond has not been set for the Carrollton resident. Carrollton is about 40 miles northeast of Fort Worth. Mohamed faces 84 counts of mail ballot application fraud and 25 counts of unlawful possession of an official mail ballot, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a Thursday news release. All 109 counts are felony charges, according to county officials.

Zul Mirza Mohamed, a candidate in the City of Carrollton mayoral race, has been arrested and charged with 84 counts of mail ballot application fraud.
Mohamed also faces 25 counts of unlawful possession of an official mail ballot.
Officials with the Texas Attorney Generals Office and the Denton County Sheriffs office worked together to make the arrest.
A press release from the Attorney Generals office states that Mohamed allegedly obtained a virtual mailbox using a false identity, forged at least 84 voter registration applications for unwitting Denton residents and had them sent to a fraudulent location.

Newt Gingrich was one of the guests on Wednesday's Tucker Carlson show. As always, everything Gingrich said was interesting. However, the most critical point he made concerned Carlson's question about what will happen to Trump-supporters if Democrats sweep the election this November. The campaign to elect Al Gross to the U.S. Senate on Wednesday announced it has raised $9.1 million since July 1.
That would put the Gross campaign at more than $14 million raised throughout the campaign, with about $5 million cash-on-hand when campaign finance reports are filed with the Federal Elections Commission by Oct. 15.
Gross, an independent who has secured the Democratic nomination, is running against Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan to be Alaska’s junior senator. Heading into the summer, Gross, an orthopedic surgeon from Juneau, was a relatively unknown political figure. Over the past couple of months, his campaign has produced numerous campaign commercials, mailers and digital ads.

Going into Wednesday’s showdown, Mike Pence had two big jobs. One, to defend the Trump administration’s record, especially its response to the pandemic. Of course, when it comes to despicability, MSNBC’s latest prime time star, Joy Reid, could be the poster child, but she sunk to a new low this week when she referenced the late businessman to comment on how ill President Trump looks. An assessment that left Media Research Center’s Curtis Houck wondering if she was hoping the president dies.
This was a significant vice-presidential debate because both Mike Pence and Kamala Harris are significantly younger than their presidential running mates. (snip) For leftists, the debate established that Kamala is a fiery black woman and that Pence is a perfect example of toxic white masculinity. In the real world, the debate showed that Kamala can recite prepared lines but lacks subject matter mastery, while Pence never lost control of himself and showed tremendous factual mastery.
Pence had a more uphill battle because of Susan Page, the moderator. Her questions for Harris essentially asked what wonderful things she and Biden planned to do to fix the Trump disasters

On Wednesday morning, I wrote a pre-debate primer about how the vice-presidential debate would be Mike Pence’s final audition for the 2024 GOP primary. He aced that audition, and very well could become president one day.
I haven’t approved — well, no — I’ve been disgusted by the sycophancy that he has exhibited since being selected as Donald Trump’s running mate in 2016. And I’ve never thought him a particularly charismatic figure either; But that doesn’t mean he’s not talented. The Trump campaign is reportedly leaving a vice presidential debate ticket for Tupac Shakur as a jab at Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who recently called the hip-hop icon, who was killed in 1996, the “best rapper alive.”
A Trump campaign adviser shared the news on a press call, according to multiple reports.
“I asked the Trump campaign who Vice President Mike Pence is bringing to tonight’s debate,” CBS News reporter Nicole Sganga tweeted Wednesday afternoon. “A spokesperson responded: ‘Tupac.’”

Attorneys for Michael Flynn on Wednesday demanded U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan recuse himself from the case, claiming the judge is “increasing hostile” and “improperly biased” against President Trump’s one-time national security adviser.

This was a real debate, a good debate. It was one of the best debates associated with a presidential election that I can recall.
Both participants were sharp and both landed plenty of blows. Both talked over the moderator, but not over each other. Neither was very obnoxious. Only one was relatively honest. I’ll get to that later.
There was a clear winner, I think. It was Mike Pence. He won on points on nearly all of the nine topics in the debate. Some he won narrowly; others decisively.
Unfortunately, Pence didn’t win the first round — the one about the Wuhan coronavirus. Harris won that very important round.
TV networks are airing free infomercials to help Joe Biden, then pretend, absurdly, that they are being even-handed. ABC, CNN and NBC call them “town halls.”
NBC this week even tried to fraudulently pass off blatant Biden backers as neutral, uncommitted voters.
“We are surrounded by dozens of undecided voters,” NBC’s Lester Holt claimed. Yet what followed was a nonstop volley of softballs and loaded, anti-Trump questions: Was Biden surprised President Trump got COVID? How will Biden lead the nation when faced with “bullies” like Trump?
