Rep. Asked for a profile by New York Magazine about what role she might play as a member of Congress should Biden capture the White House, the freshman House Democrat from New York responded with a groan. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders continues to hold a commanding 15 percentage point lead over the rest of the Democratic presidential candidates among college students. The latest weekly Chegg election tracker survey of Democrat or Democratic Party-leaning undergraduates across the U.S. saw Sanders close out of the year with 38 percent support - which ties his top approval rating for the year. Sanders has dominated polling at the college level through much of the 2020 campaign, although former Vice President Joe Biden has seen the most significant decline in support since the survey started last March. From Iraq to Iran, Afghanistan to Ukraine, and everywhere in between, President Donald Trump’s campaign says former Vice President Joe Biden has been lying nonstop about foreign policy in recent days in an attempt to revise history in his political favor. The Democrat presidential frontrunner in 2020, Biden, has made a number of claims in recent days that are demonstrably untrue, ranging from false claims that the Iran deal during the Obama administration “solved” the problem of Iran to untrue claims that he was supportive of former President Obama’s decision to launch the 2011 raid that finally killed Osama bin Laden.

Recently, an oft-cited Business Insider survey ranked the rudest cities in America. The top 10 are all bastions of misguided liberalism. They are sanctuaries to illegal aliens and often hostile towards law-abiding citizens by imposing oppressive taxes and silly regulations and by encouraging lawlessness by handcuffing law enforcement.
Intrigued, I compared the Business Insider list to a survey that ranks cities on a conservative-liberal spectrum, and to other surveys that rank by friendliness, safety, and crime. The results are insightful: independent surveys indicate that the rudest, most dangerous, and least friendly cites are overwhelmingly liberal and sanctuary cities.

Historically, after Super Tuesday in early March, a leader emerges from the primaries, allowing party money and machinery to consolidate around one person. This year, Democrat party insiders worry that Super Tuesday will end without any candidate holding a clear lead, leaving room for Mike Bloomberg to buy his way into the election: Democrats are now beginning to confront a very real scenario where the nomination — and the winnowing — will not be decided in states where campaigns have been plowing ground for more than a year, but in places and calendar dates so deep into primary season that until recently they’ve received almost no attention at all.

A Svengali is a person who controls another’s mind, usually with sinister intent, based on the 1891 gothic-horror novel Trilby, by George du Maurier. A century later, in the 1950s and 60s, the CIA actually dabbled and experimented in mind control under the codename MKUltra. The concept appears frequently in popular culture. Jason Bourne, a Robert Ludlum character, was programed by MKUltra. So too, allegedly, was Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber.Today the master of mind control, also known as the “very stable” Svengali genius is none other than President Donald Trump. Simply by tweeting or eating a scoop of ice cream during a military strike,

On Friday morning the United States killed General Qassim Soleimani, a top commander of Iran’s al-Quds Force, in an airstrike at Baghdad’s International Airport. The strike also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iran-backed militias known as the Popular Mobilization Forces. Seven people were reportedly killed in the airstrike.(Snip) Supporters of Iranian terrorist Soleimani chanted, “Death to America!” on Sunday as they drove his body into Tehran. They used a Chevy truck to drive Soleimani around Tehran.

Erupting first with concerns over an imminent “World War III” and a fast-impending military draft, social media reactions to the killing of Quds Force Commander Qassam Soleimani last Friday have looked like a funhouse of hysteria. The media appears to be leading the charge, frantically egging the Iranian regime to retaliate through utterly fantastical predictions of what comes next. Much of this hyperbolic reporting stems from the fact that the very thesis of the Iran Deal — and years of Ben Rhodes-generated talking points — are being thoroughly tested. (Snip) our media shows scant interest in the massive area that lies between all-out-war and appeasement and surrender.

President Donald Trump leveled new warnings to Iraq and Iran on Sunday in response to increased threats from Iran and in response to Iraq’s parliament voting to expel the U.S. military from its country.
“The nonbinding resolution – passed with the backing of Shiite politicians – urges Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to rescind Iraq’s invitation to U.S. forces that helped rescue the country after Islamic State overran about one third of its territory in 2014,” (Snip)In remarks to reporters while on Air Force, Trump slammed Iraq over their vote, saying that if U.S. troops are forced to leave the country, he will hit Iraq with “very big” sanctions.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg saw a 6-point bump in the latest Hill-HarrisX survey of the Democratic presidential primary. The nationwide poll, which was released Friday, shows Bloomberg up from 5 percent to 11 percent support for the nomination nationally. The former New York City mayor is now in a dead heat for third place with top-tier candidate, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who also received 11 percent support.
Biden, meanwhile, continues to lead the Democratic field with 28 percent followed by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) at 16 percent.

Good grief there’s a lot to unpack within this insufferable beltway cocktail party disguised as a high-brow TV review of the U.S-Iraq-Iran conflict. (Video Below) However, both of them are clueless about what President Trump is about to do.
First, the generous opinion of General Petraeus as a military strategist is massively inflated. As the recently released Afghanistan Papers have revealed the entire premise of the Petraeus’ strategy was based on lies; fundamental falsehoods; and an upper-tier military devoid of anyone willing to say the emperor was naked. It was all BS.

Shortly after the release of the special counsel report last year, I posited that Robert Mueller’s failure to investigate whether Russia interfered with the 2016 presidential election by feeding dossier author Christopher Steele disinformation established that Mueller was either incompetent or a political hack. Now, with the release of the inspector general’s report on FISA abuse, we know the answer: He was both.
(Snip) The 400-page report also established that the special counsel’s office was complicit in the FISA abuse, the probe was a witch hunt, and Mueller’s report was a cover-up for systematic government malfeasance.

Last week, 18 people crossed the border illegally into Arizona hoping they could exploit a loophole in U.S. asylum policy to stay in the country. Instead, they found themselves shipped back to Mexico while their asylum claims are reviewed.
In the midst of impeachment mania and the killing of an Iranian general, this event captured little attention. But it’s part of a broader campaign that the Trump administration has quietly embarked upon to crack down on illegal border crossings. And – even without the wall – these policies are having a huge impact.

In July 2019, Jeffrey Epstein, already a convicted sex offender, was arrested and charged with sex trafficking by federal prosecutors. On August 10, Epstein was found dead in his federal jail cell at Manhattan's Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC).
The New York City Medical Examiner's Office ruled Epstein's death a suicide by hanging, but a forensic pathologist who observed the four-hour autopsy on behalf of Epstein's brother, Mark, tells 60 Minutes the evidence released so far points more to murder than suicide in his view. Dr. Michael Baden's key reason: the unusual fractures he saw in Epstein's neck

The assassination of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani is an unusual, possibly aberrant, event. The killing of this individual leader of a sovereign state may lead to all-out war between Iran and the U.S. — or, on the other hand, the assassination may bring an end to the cycle of Iranian violence countered by U.S. and world diplomatic flatulence and appeasement. (snip) the Iranians have been in an undeclared war with the U.S. since the ayatollahs and their religiously inspired and power-mad henchmen took over the reins of government from the despotic but pro-American Shah in the seventies.

When the news broke about the death of Qassem Soleimani in an American airstrike, it was inevitable that the Democrats and the media would denounce the action and once again declare President Trump unfit for office. More surprising was the opprobrium heaped on the raid and its underlying rationale by Tucker Carlson. The Fox News host is usually fairly sensible, if given to the hyperbole and simulated indignation required by the talking head genre. Moreover, he tends to be supportive of the President and his policies. Carlson’s response to the Soleimani killing, however, was uninformed, uncharacteristically hostile to Trump, and generally unhinged.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is upset. She let her caucus impeach President Trump on dubious charges with a narrow partisan majority and without taking the time to gather evidence that she now believes must be heard in a Senate trial as it might convince a skeptical public. And now, huge surprise, the Republican Senate appears poised to send the resulting impeachment articles straight to the circular file.
As of Friday, Pelosi was still withholding the articles of impeachment from the Senate. She is making demands that the Senate trial be run in a particular way, even though the California Democrat is not a senator

George Lopez doubled down Sunday on the bounty Iran has put on President Trump — for half.
The comedian replied to another Instagram user’s post Sunday that Iran had offered $80 million to any person who assassinated Mr. Trump’s “during the televised funeral of General #QasemSoleimani after he was assassinated last week.”
Mr. Lopez replied: “We’ll do it for half.” As of 10:40 p.m. Sunday had received almost 350 replies and nearly 1,200 “like” reactions.
Some of the reaction was outrage though.
“@SecretService should take a look at this. The Left is sick,” Ryan Fournier, founder and co-chairman of Students for Trump, wrote on Twitter.

In the four decades since the 1979 Iranian Revolution, few Iranian leaders have achieved the global profile attained by Maj. Gen. Qassim Suleimani, the military commander killed in an American airstrike on Thursday. After the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Suleimani emerged as the United States’s most capable adversary in that country. His American counterpart at a key point during the occupation, Gen. David Petraeus, described Suleimani as “a truly evil figure” in a letter to Robert Gates, then the U.S. defense secretary. Over the years, Suleimani gained a reputation as a fearsome military leader who controlled a network of ideologically driven militia proxies across the Middle East.

Julian Castro is departing the presidential race, Cory Booker may not be far behind, and as I write on the home page today, Andrew Yang is going to have a hell of a time hitting 15 percent and winning a delegate in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, or South Carolina. If you think there’s grumbling about the Democratic debate stage being all white except for Yang right now, just wait. There’s a good chance that two months from now, every delegate in the first four contests will have gone to one of four white candidates: Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, or Pete Buttigieg. (Alexandra’s right, this is a four-candidate race.)

The successful U.S. drone strike against a top level Iranian enemy combatant responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans has roused the Democrats, their media mouthpieces and Hollywood haters to defend the terrorist and vilify President Trump. With their responses to the annihilation of Gen. Qasem Soleimani, the Trump haters have officially joined Iran's "Death to America" war against the United States.
For the record, Soleimani wasn't in Iraq last week to take in the sights or recite his poetry. President Trump made it clear in a post-strike address to the nation, the target was there coordinating a military operation against American troops and diplomats.

The American drone strike that killed Iranian General Qassem Soleimani has severely shocked the Tehran regime. President Trump and the Iranians are exchanging taunts and threats of military action.
Soleimani’s death at American hands has shaken the ayatollahs’ regime to its core. Never before, in its forty years of conducting global terrorism and regional aggression, has a member of the regime’s inner circle been killed. As commander of the terrorist “Quds Force” (part of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, which is also designated a “foreign terrorist organization”) Soleimani ranked just below the ayatollahs themselves. The fact that his death was caused by the “Great Satan” — us —

In 1982, after a series of increasingly high-profile radio gigs in suburban Westchester, Hartford, Detroit, and Washington, D.C., a scrawny, long-haired, 6’5”, 28-year-old Long Island native named Howard Stern, who had gained notoriety for his naughty-boy japery, was summoned to New York, the nation’s biggest radio market, to be the afternoon drive-time man at WNBC-AM, which then was NBC’s flagship radio station. Stern garnered big ratings—but, after three years, was fired by executives at 30 Rock who felt he was tarnishing the Peacock Network’s brand. Stern was promptly snapped up by another Big Apple station, WXRK-FM, or K-Rock, and during the next two decades

The US House of Representatives will vote on a resolution this week to restrict President Donald Trump’s ability to attack Iran, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
The War Powers Resolution “reasserts Congress’s long-established oversight responsibilities by mandating that if no further Congressional action is taken, the Administration’s military hostilities with regard to Iran cease within 30 days,” the Democratic Speaker wrote in the letter.

2020 is finally here, and it's coming with its own set of challenges.
Not only do we have to break the habit of writing 2019, when we really mean 2020, but the dawn of a new decade also creates a unique opportunity for scammers, says Ira Rheingold, executive director for the National Association of Consumer Advocates.
How exactly, you ask?
When the year 2020 is abbreviated on official forms and documents, those looking to exploit unsuspecting people can easily manipulate those numbers and leave people potentially vulnerable to fraud.

I know, I know. The homeless smell bad sometimes. They look scary, with layers of clothing and dirty hands. They litter our streets with cardboard boxes, fast-food wrappers and empty bottles. They sleep on sidewalks or in tents under bridges, testing sanitation limits.
It sounds pretty awful, I admit. This is the picture you and I see in our cities and towns. It makes us want to turn away and escape to our tidy houses.
It makes us angry, too. Most of us work or worked when we were younger. Most of us portion out our paychecks for housing, food, clothing and occasional recreation.

Retired Green Beret Master Sgt. Terry Schappert fired back at Democrats who criticized President Trump's order of the U.S. airstrike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani on Friday, detailing the general's role in hundreds of American deaths. "If you're in my community, it's pretty safe to say that you've probably buried somebody who was killed by him [Soleimani], you know someone who's lost a limb or been catastrophically wounded, and you know a Gold Star family who has been destroyed by this guy," Schappert said on "The Greg Gutfeld Show" over the weekend.
