Actress Patricia Arquette attacked President Donald Trump during her rambling Golden Globes acceptance speech on Sunday, lambasting the president for his recent tweets in which he spelled out his hardline approach toward Iran.Arquette, who won a Golden Globe for her supporting role in Hulu’s The Act, sported dark sunglasses and open cleavage while delivering a semi-coherent acceptance speech in which she invoked Iran, Australia, climate change, and the 2020 presidential election.

Hmmm. Trying to understand why anyone would read, let alone write, about Patricia Arquette’s political opinions. What could be more irrelevant than that?

Hollywood now exists solely for the sake of Hollywood - they have no clue how totally irrelevant they have become.

Out of curiosity, since she chose to pontificate at the G.G. about Iran and other things of world import, I tried to find out if she graduated from high school, if not college. All I could find is her being a freshman and that’s it! If somebody out there can get more info, I would appreciate it. I’m impressed with how many celebrities did not finish high school and college.

Isn't she the one who was married for awhile to the equally mental Nic Cage? Nice thing about Ricky's scathing remarks last night is he is English, not American. He has a great career going on in the UK and doesn't need Hollywood. They need him, simply because they have borrowed a number of his show ideas for their own.
I loathe Hollywood's attitude about defending terrorists. Trump has reduced them all to this point and they deserve it.

When you live in a bubble, speed a good deal of your life gravitating between coteries telling you are brilliant and/or waiting for the phone to ring for a hopeful next job, I suspect you become a mass off "I know it all; I am SO smart" mixed with total thus insecurity making you need to prove yourself. So we have Arquette, telling us all what to think. I am sure she was showered with praise on being so brave (in front of an audience that totally agreed with her). Gervais was the only hero and brave human on the stage at the Globes.

Hollywood and the media both fake and worthless. I thought there was a Rosanna Arquette and a brother that was an actor too but I don't remember this dingbat blubbering idiot. I don't go to movies or watch Hollywood award shows so what to I know.

I don't think most of these people have enough talent to keep work, unless they toe the liberal Hollywood line. They know they won't get parts, even in B movies or shows, unless they virtue-signal what is expected of them. Then, I think they get the Stockholm syndrome, where they start believing the lies and fake news. The real talent, that is valuable enough to keep doesn't have to prostitute themselves to the elites.

The terrorist general was feared for his Qud Forces brutal tortures and murders. Knowing their warped fanaticism how many of Iran's LGBTQ are no longer alive? Obviously Hollywood lives in a bubble.

Arquette is a B actress wannabee. This is her way of getting noticed for a part in a movie. She does this every year.
Some times politics and news is unbearable for me. Watching a good movie or a TV series on Netflix or Prime is my escape. Lately, I've noticed many films are cast with British actors instead of American actors. Most of all because they're better and less expensive. These American Prima Dona's are not worth it. Right now their only gig is appearing on an award shows and wearing an ugly gown to get noticed.
Adios!

the golden globes,.............the first in a long line of self adulation conventions.............. people believe that because they're entertainers their opinions on politics are worthwhile and the rest of the country should listen to them. michelle williams ..in a thank you speech... going on about abortion as a career move. these are the people that applauded polanski and weinstein. no thanks.

The lecture is over.
Here is the truth:
Retired Green Beret Master Sgt. Terry Schappert fired back at Democrats who criticized President Trump's order of the U.S. airstrike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani on Friday, detailing the general's role in hundreds of American deaths. "If you're in my community, it's pretty safe to say that you've probably buried somebody who was killed by him [Soleimani], you know someone who's lost a limb or been catastrophically wounded, and you know a Gold Star family who has been destroyed by this guy,"

A majority of actors are people who are so devoid of an actual personality, and of actual thoughts and words that they are extremely facile in taking the thoughts and words created by others and foisting them off as their own. They do this for money, sometimes large amounts of it.
They are in dire straits when they attempt to come up with their own thoughts and words, usually validating their complete lack of any brains to create useful thoughts and words. And when they hear some "T&W"s that sound good to their near-single-digit IQs (and in Hollyweird all they hear is leftist drivel) , they glom onto those "brilliant ideas" as their own and regurgitate these "T&W"s on demand, like they do the words of a script.
Arquette is a prime example serious dysfunction.
Meat puppets, indeed.

What's up with the sun glasses? There was no sunshine at the Golden Globes! Apparently Arquettes bombs were pushed up into her ears as she heard nothing from Ricky Gervais opening monologue. If course, like 99.99% of the audience, she probably thought it didn't apply to her.

Will they stop nominating her so we don't have to read about her diatribe the next day ? The awards show is merely her political platform. Thank gawd Alyssa Milano wasn't nominated.
Still asking: Name ten people in Hollyweird with a college degree. I can only name one.

Ricky Gervais has really got these people´s number, but, tragically, they can´t bring themselves to believe it. Most actors in Hollywood these days are semi-educated dimbulbs. Ms. Arquette (who appears to have gone out of her way to look awful on-screen) should have taken Mr. Gervais´s advice, politely accepted her award with a few thanks to a few key people who have helped her, and then sat down and shut up. That simple set of tasks appears to be way above her skill set.
