The Democratic presidential candidate and former New York City mayor likes a lot of what he sees in the Golden State and thinks its efforts on climate change, gun control and criminal justice reform sets a benchmark for other states to emulate. “I think that California can serve as a great example for the rest of this country,” Bloomberg told supporters at the opening of his Angeles headquarters.

I cannot believe Judge Judy endorsed this charlatan! I did notice yesterday that Bloomberg had an ad every commercial break during the Vikings/Saints game and a bunch more during the Golden Globes. He’s already greatly spending.

Only someone who can afford to live in a walled, gated, guarded enclave, who is chauffered door to door and never has to see or walk through poop, discarded needles, puddles of fresh urine, piles or trash or the addicted or mentally-ill "homeless" can actually say or believe this tripe.

I see California as a cautionary tale. Here is the kind of horrible disaster the whole country could turn into if we aren't careful. Bloomberg is a horror show.

Bloomberg is a control freak. He thinks he is the only person on earth that knows what is best for you. He took away your salt, then the Big Gulp and trying to take away your guns. What is next????? Through this clown out.

Now who's the nuttiest squirrel in the tree? A bankrupt, hopelessly screwed up state full of homeless bums and democrat politicians who are not going to see their multi-million dollar pensions is suddenly a model of utopia?

And of course we can also call San Francisco a model city with its people in tents all over the sidewalks, needles all over the sidewalks, human feces, urine, being accosted by people living on the street asking for money or whatever. Is that the model you're talking about Mr. Bloomberg?

Bloomberg is an idiot, second to Soros though, right up there with Steyer. You don't have to be smart to make a billion.

The little runt has finally lost what is left of his mind. He is seriously deluded and thoroughly unfit t orun for office, let alone actually achieve it. They must all think we are too stupid to read the news or think for ourselves. What a nasty and loathsome little creep. If you like what he did to NYC, you will love what he could do to the rest of the nation.

Hunter Biden is stepping down from the board of a Chinese-backed private equity company and promising to forego all foreign work if his father, former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, is elected president in 2020. I am troubled by the complaint and wonder how an intelligence officer could file it over something a president said to a foreign leader. How could this be an intelligence matter? It appears likely to me that this so-called whistleblower was pursuing a political agenda. I am very familiar with transcripts of presidential phone calls since I edited and processed dozens of them when I worked for the NSC. I also know a lot about intelligence whistleblowers from my time with

Earlier this month, during a bipartisan meeting in Kiev, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) delivered a pointed message to Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelensky. While choosing his words carefully, Murphy made clear — by his own account — that Ukraine currently enjoyed bipartisan support for its U.S. aid but that could be jeopardized if the new president acquiesced to requests by President Trump’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, to investigate past corruption allegations involving Americans, including former Vice President Joe Biden’s family.

New York will ban single-use plastic bags in stores starting March 1.The state’s ban, which was passed last year by the state legislature, will impact both grocery and department stores. New York is the third state to introduce a plastic bag ban, joining California and Oregon, as a way to curb the amount of plastic going to landfills.Instead of receiving a plastic bag at the checkout counter, customers will have to provide their own reusable bags or take a paper bag from the store with a five-cent tax. Customers using food stamps will be exempt from the bag tax.“If you have a small purchase,

SUMTER, S.C. — In October, Pete Buttigieg said he would do better with South Carolina’s black voters once they got to know him better. When he came back in December, he was still working on introducing himself to the black electorate. And in late January he admitted he was scared that at his rallies in South Carolina, where 60 percent of the Democratic electorate is black, most attendees were white. Those fears were borne out on Saturday, when Mr. Buttigieg was trounced in South Carolina’s primary and earned just two percent of the vote from African-Americans, according to early exit polling.

Myrtle Beach (United States) - For centuries, South Carolina's Charleston was the largest port of entry for the transatlantic slave trade. Now, a billionaire activist named Tom Steyer is shaking up the state's Democratic primary by advocating slavery reparations for African Americans. A California financier turned philanthropist and environmental campaigner, Steyer has poured tens of millions of dollars into the state ahead of Saturday's vote -- with a single-minded focus on the black voters who make up 60 percent of its Democratic electorate. How South Carolina's African Americans vote in the White House primaries is traditionally a key indicator of which contender

This is clearly a highly influential publication. Only a couple of weeks after I pleaded in these pages for the repatriation to America of Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, it was accomplished. In a magnificently self-regarding and self-pitying statement to the world, Prince Harry and his recalcitrant wife announced that they would be ‘stepping back’ from royal duties and spending much more time in ‘Canada’, or, as it is more familiarly known, Los Angeles. In this statement, released without the Queen’s knowledge, Harry and Meghan expressed a vague wish that they might at some point in time become ‘financially independent’ from the British taxpayer, seemingly possessed of the interesting belief

A survivor of the 2018 massacre on Valentine’s Day at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and now enrolled at Harvard, student gun control activist David Hogg has become a sought-after speaker at colleges and universities, and the odds are off the chart that he’ll be given a prime-time slot at the Democratic National Convention in August. While I fully support his right to protest things he thinks are wrong, I respectfully disagree with his belief that school carnage will end if semi-automatic rifles are banned. When I was in high school in the early 1960s, there were no mass school shootings.

Democratic candidate Joe Biden is failing. The gaffe train is moving a mile a minute and only seems to be picking up steam. Pressure to keep up: status imbalance

The persistence of mental health hardships among gay and bisexual men, which endure even as LGBTQ people gain greater acceptance and civil rights, can be explained at least in part by the corrosive effects of status consciousness, competitiveness and racism within the gay community itself. Those are the striking and potentially controversial findings of a study published in January in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology that may broaden appreciation of the unique stressors faced by gay and bisexual men. Gay and lesbian people have a more than fourfold higher rate of suicide than the general population. Among transgender people, the gulf is even wider.

Tulane University's "Victory Bell" has been removed from its pedestal on the school's Uptown campus after officials learned it was originally used as a plantation bell. In a letter emailed to the Tulane community, President Mike Fitts and Board Chairman Doug Hertz said they were informed last week that the bell was originally used to direct the movements of enslaved people on a plantation. "It is terribly disheartening to learn that it is, in fact, a vestige of a horrific part of our nation's past," the letter said. "Now that we understand its history as an instrument of slavery, continuing to use this bell
