On Friday morning the United States killed General Qassim Soleimani, a top commander of Iran’s al-Quds Force, in an airstrike at Baghdad’s International Airport. The strike also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iran-backed militias known as the Popular Mobilization Forces. Seven people were reportedly killed in the airstrike.(Snip) Supporters of Iranian terrorist Soleimani chanted, “Death to America!” on Sunday as they drove his body into Tehran. They used a Chevy truck to drive Soleimani around Tehran.

Maybe the best sanction is to prohibit all autoparts shipping to Iran. Cars will slowly die and commerce will come to a stop.

"Like a Rock" was the advertising theme of Chevy a few years back. Today it describes the body parts of Qassim Soleimani in the back of that Chevy truck.

A Toyota is too small to carry anything bigger than a .30 cal. machine gun.

Two things ~ the advertising system immediately popped up ADVERTISING FOR AMERICAN. PICKUP TRUCKS.....
The other thing is the Iranians spent hours chanting "Death to America".
Donald spent possibly 2 minutes tops humming, under his breath "Death to Iran".
Ho ho ho.....
Feels good to know that our Al Locus Impetu can reach out, just like ATandT, and grab someone...... without all that need for ground support units.
Dispensing with the Iranian high command seems to be one of those jobs that has needed to be done for a very long time anyway.

This ruins my day. Why wasn't it a Dodge Ram 2500 Turbo Diesel, 4WD, extra cab, short box?

So far as I've heard they could have taken back what was left on a Segway.

Isn't Chevy "The heartbeat of America"?
If they had used a Russian built truck, it would have broken down like the one used for Castro's funeral procession.
For forty years Iran has given us the finger, now they are burying a finger - you can't this stuff up.

Can't make a pickup truck that works, but expect to take over the world.

You don't need a truck that size nor a casket to house what was left of him after the strike. They're lucky to find his hand with his big bad ring. A freezer Ziploc bag would have done the job.

I saw a picture of the vehicle he was riding in.
They probably have him and several pieces of someone else in that truck.
It sure won't be an open casket funeral.

#9 - several posts floating around seem to agree that only one pallbearer was needed because the coffin was a two-gallon styrofoam container. Opinions vary on the brand however. Some say Igloo, others say Yeti, etc.

On the flip side, the UAW provides trucks to terrorists.

The irony here is beyond delicious. Further, they were obviously clueless about the optics. Not too smart for people wanting to take on the strongest economic and military power on the planet. They should have asked the US for help with transportation. We could have sent the terrorist home on another drone and dropped him on the city.

I've said all along to get rid of their pickups, that would not allow them to turn them into 'acutals'. and they would look really stupid trying to mount a .30 on the back of a camel...

Actually, #3, they pintle mount DShK heavy machine guns in the back of Toyota pickups. These were known as "technicals" in the subSaharan and Middle Eastern garbage tribal wars.
The "Dishka" is the Rooskie equivalent of the US Browning M2 .50 cal machine gun. Of course. they made it a .51 caliber, in the deep seated Russian need to have theirs 'just a little bit bigger' than everyone else's anything. Eye roll. But the Dishka is a large heavy machine gun, and a pretty fearsome weapon to go up against, I have been told. Thankfully, most have no armor mounted with the gun, and the gunner is the weak point of the system.

#1 Is onto something. Not sure which comments are funnier, L.dot or the ones under the article.
Really cheered me up.
I thought like Osama, he would be carried out to sea and dumped.
