The post-verdict fight over legal fees continues in the Gibson’s Bakery v. Oberlin College case. (Snip) Last week Daniel McGraw reported on the court hearing, and the astounding fact that the lawyers on each side had time into the case equaling just under $5 million. The defense lawyers got paid hourly, the Gibson’s lawyers have the case on a 40% contingent fee, but kept track of their time. Now we have most of the filings made in connection with the application for legal fees. We don’t have everything, because some filings were made under seal and are not publicly available.

Luxury retailer Barneys New York is making preparations for a bankruptcy filing that could come as soon as this month, people familiar with the matter tell CNBC. Barneys, which is facing a liquidity crunch spurred by a rent hike at its Manhattan flagship, has engaged law firm Kirkland & Ellis and financial advisers a M-III Partners to assist with the potential preparations, the people said. The advisers are exploring a range of options that include bankruptcy, as well as ones that would help it avoid a bankruptcy filing, such as a sale or securing further financing, the people said.

Businessman Ed Butowsky filed a lawsuit on Monday that outed FOX News reporter Ellen Ratner was his source for the Seth Rich information. This comes after Michael Isikoff’s report last week that labeled Butowsky as a Russian source. Ed told The Gateway Pundit today that Ellen Ratner lied to Isikoff. Ed provided The Gateway Pundit with a copy of his email with Ratner. Butowsky added that he spoke with Isikoff off the record and he broke his trust by contacting Ratner. A rather stunning report from Gateway Pundit outlines information contained within a lawsuit filing. The lawsuit, filed by Businessman Ed Butowsky, alleges Wikileaks founder Julian Assange confirmed to Fox News analyst Ellen Ratner that the DNC leaked emails were received from Seth Rich and his brother Aaron. The details contained within the lawsuit filing (full pdf below) are stunning. If this information is true and accurate, the DOJ claim of a Russian hack –based on assertions by DNC contractor, Crowdstrike– would be entirely false. Additionally the DC murder of Seth Rich would hold a far more alarming motive.

The St. Louis Park City Council will return to saying the Pledge of Allegiance prior to its meetings. According to KSTP reporter Brett Hoffland, the council unanimously voted to return the recitation of the pledge at its Monday night meeting. The council came under criticism after it voted to start their meetings without reciting the Pledge of Allegiance last month.

Media outlet Axios formed a small focus group of 12 swing voters to gauge their opinion on how President Donald Trump is handling illegal immigration. Some Democrat strategist is going to wake up in a cold sweat later tonight after seeing this. The Democratic Party conducted an internal poll of swing voters, including their feelings on the “squad” and socialism. The result are absolutely brutal when juxtaposed with the stated positions of those running in the 2020 Democratic primary race. The poll was leaked to Axios and here are some of the results.[tweet]The poll — taken in May, before Speaker Pelosi’s latest run-in with AOC and the three other liberal House freshmen known as “The Squad” — included 1,003 likely general-election voters who are white and have two years or less of college education.

Separately, arrogance and ignorance are some of humanity’s worst traits. Together, when coupled with power, they achieve “weapon-grade stupid” status. This is the marinade of the “gang of four,” the “progressive” Congresswomen – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar – who I’d accuse of having exponentially more social media followers than accomplishments, but it’s impossible to multiply by zero. The lights went out on Broadway Saturday night, and Bill de Blasio was a thousand miles away in Iowa. It was the moment that perfectly captured his distracted, ego-driven failure of a mayoralty. Bill de Blasio does not care about New York City. He does not care about its people. He does not care about how it’s run. He does not care about you or your taxes, creating jobs or improving lives. All Bill de Blasio cares about is Bill de Blasio. And so, for the good of the city, Gov. Andrew Cuomo needs to remove the mayor from office. Let’s face it:

The Baltimore-based Xaverian Brothers released Friday a list of 34 members who have been accused of sexually abusing children. The list includes two men “with a credible or established offense against a minor” who are currently members of the religious order, according to documents released on the order’s website. The order also identified 18 other deceased or former Xaverian Brothers with a “credible or established offense.” Nine brothers identified by the order were at some point assigned to Mount Saint Joseph High School in Southwest Baltimore. It was obvious to anyone watching the men’s Wimbledon final on Sunday to notice that the crowd leaned heavily in favor of eight-time champion Roger Federer over his opponent Novak Djokovic. The New York Times summed up the crowd’s reaction: When Federer made an error, there were groans; when Djokovic made an error, there was applause. Still, the booing throughout caught the attention of many on social media. A reporter for Bloomberg tweeted, “I get that it’s a pro-Federer crowd but the booing of Djokovic at Wimbledon was undeserved and sort of pathetic.”
