The Disco Era marked the acceptance of gays in America. Schoolchildren were singing "YMCA" as parents decided the kids would not be in on the joke. Gays were fun, and people like fun. [Snip] 40 years (two generations) later, we have gay marriage and a gay candidate for president, Mayor Pete Buttigieg. The backlash against him comes from the homosexual community. He is not queer enough, or queerty as they prefer. A very nasty and graphic column appeared in New Republic by Dale Peck, a gay writer.

If this country is not ready for a Woman President, what makes anyone think that this country is ready for a Gay president (who kisses his "Husband" in front of thousands)! I don't think either will be on the Ticket!

Ditto #1 They are homosexuals, transvestites, and although they may in fact be gay they are also congenitally deceptive.

The acceptance gays seek is acceptance from God. No matter how accepting society is, they will still not feel this. So they have to double down and send policemen with dogs to hunt down people with wrong thoughts in a vain effort to quiet the witness of their own minds and consciences. The same goes for all who are in fundamental war with their Maker.

Easier to ignore the whole thing. No one reads the New Republic. No one considers Pete to be a serious candidate. Alfred E. Neumann has resonated more than anything else. Even Kamala couldn’t pull him along. She has too much baggage already...

A lot of people didn't know "YMCA" was sung by a gang of homosexuals at the time. Most people didn't realize disco came out of the debauchery of Studio 54 either. Or that Sylvester was homosexual. Wonder why disco died as fast as it did? People found out, and they didn't like it anymore.

I read this article and the referenced article by that ultra-gay writer. What I learned is that Dale Pick wouldn't join a club that would have him as a member. I found agreement on the issue of Not In My White House.

I read the article before it was pulled from the TNR and thought that the article made good points about Pete. He left out a few factoids about Pete. He polls terribly with blacks and running as an ''I hate Mike Pence'' isn't a solid platform. I wonder who Dale Peck is supporting and what presidential campaign put this out?

Even though the word is used frequently, there is actually no such thing as "a homosexual". You cannot be an adjective. Words like "homosexuals" and "gays" are inventions of identity politics. There is no doubt in my mind that there have been Presidents with homosexual impulses or tendencies - note that I'm using the word "homosexual" in its correct form as an adjective here - but maybe they just didn't want it out there and recorded for posterity.

Now the politicians will pay for that decision.
