I’m so old that I remember when George Will’s opinion mattered to Republicans. Apparently, the Bezos Bulletin scribe realizes he’s lost his influence on the Grand Old Party and now offers advice to the Democrats on their nominee, in hopes that someone out there still cares about his opinions. His disgust at President Trump – who has the support of roughly 90% of Republicans – is such that he has now taken to telling (fellow?) Democrats whom they should nominate in 2020, in order to defeat the man who has restored the American economy to growth rates exceeding population growth ( a task his predecessor assured us required a “magic wand”),
George Will... Can anyone be more "washed up" than ol' George?

Many years ago I really liked the man, read his books and even met him in person. What happened? TDS? At this point he is an embarrassment and I am embarrassed to have liked him in the past. See ya George.

The Liberal Party has never been more clear about who and what they are than in the current election cycle. Anyone claiming to be conservative who would advocate for the election of any of them cares nothing about the future of this country.

Bennett has said recenty that the run up of the economy under Trump is merely the continuation of what Obama started. I wrote him off immediately after he said that. He's either naively stupid, or dishonest,

Will and Charles Krautheimer used to be very close, but it appears that closeness stopped way before Krautheimer became ill and died. I have often wondered if it had anything to do with K., who was not a Trump supporter, nonetheless looking at what Trump was accomplishing and writing an opinion piece to that effect.

So Georgie picks an obscure white Senator who is polling at about 9/10 of 1%. Georgie isn't going to make a good Democrat either. They want someone who is easily manipulated (Biden), a close of cousin of Karl Marx (Sanders), or Aunt Esther from Sanford and Son (Harris).

Take a look at what George Wont actually wrote.
He twice used the word "requisite." Now ask yourself this - - have you ever used the word "requisite" even once - - much less twice in the same paragraph?
This is what separates Wont from the rest of us - - his awesome command of words that have three or more syllables.

Wow. Really?
George has a ton of dough in the bank and thinking people have long abandoned him for a plethora of good reasons.
He picks Michael Bennett? Heh...
This is a show business move. He knows he's full of crap but he wants back in.
TDS is like smack. Formally normal people will do anything.

George should stick to cashing the royalty checks earned for being the cover boy for the "...For Dummies" book series. Trump (shockingly) has done more to advance conservatism in two years than Will and his fellow tsk-tsking washout Mona Charen have done in their careers.

Please recall that G. Will hosted a dinner party at his house in January, 2009 for
president-elect Obama before he was sworn in.
Hmmm.
Didn't that raise a few warning flags about Mr. Will?
It did in my book. He hasn't changed.

George Will ... tour guide and park ranger of the Washington, D.C. swamp.
Old George really, REALLY misses those quiet parties at the White House he's no longer invited to with the missus so he can show how much juice he has.

George Will is and always has been an utter snob. Any so called conservative that isn't in complete disdain of the modern leftist clown car known as the democrat party is a total fraud.

What happened is that a number of consequential individuals attacked him vociferously (Bill O'Reilly, DJT, et al.) and hurt his feelings. He took his ball and went home. This is all personal. He is no longer granted the deference that he expects and he doesn't like it one little bit. He strikes back with snark and passive aggression.

If you read to the bottom of the article, you see Will's real motivation - Bennett is a descendent of a Mayflower passenger and has a uniparty pedigree. Will opposes Trump because he considers Trump a vulgarian and "not one of us, dear."

The problem with George Will is that he values his social circle more than his country's welfare. Many of the DC pundits despise Trump because DJT talks candidly and like a middle class worker. Not too surprising, since Trump's business practices required working with blue-collar workers involved in the construction trade. Trump simply knows how to talk to ordinary hard-working folks. Trump's IQ must be about 20 points higher than most university professors. He seems to be way ahead of them in most verbal confrontations. It is such a treat to watch Donald Trump confound them.

So, let's see. At this count, we have George Will, Mona Charen, Susan Collins, and at any minute we'll hear from Mitt Romney and Peggy Noonan--all clutching their pearls at what PDJT tweeted earlier. Never ONCE have these fools EVER stood up to protest the racist statements these anti-American congress people have ever said about US. Oh no. I have NO USE for these fools. They love the DC cocktail party circuit too much to speak the truth about these racists. Just go away. We are not listening anyways.

Michael Bennet is one of my two senators. I've written him with my requests for his actions on important issues probably twice a years in the ten years since he was appointed. He's always done exactly the opposite of the common sense directions I've urged him to take. He's been helped tremendously by running twice for re-election against incredibly inept Republican candidates. He is no moderate. He's not a consensus builder. He's a partisan, bitter, weak Democrat first. George Will can't be serious.
