A long-time U.S. Supreme Court reporter for the New York Times, Linda Greenhouse, recently wrote a surprisingly candid description of how U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts added "gratuitous" language into his opinion on the recent tariff case, personally criticizing the president on record. Greenhouse conveniently frames the justice's indulgence, however, as a legitimate "warning" to both the president and "the waiting world." She states that Roberts "is losing patience with Trump." Apparently, the chief justice is thought to be entitled to act as a shadow president.

Former President Joe Biden told mourners at Rev. Jesse Jackson’s memorial service Friday that he is "a h--- of a lot smarter than most of you," a pointed remark that stood out during his tribute to the late civil rights leader. Biden made the comment while recounting how he was mocked as a child for his stutter and how speech impediments are often mistaken for a lack of intelligence.
"If I told you I had a cleft palate or clubfoot, none of you would have laughed," Biden said. "But it’s OK to laugh at stuttering. … It’s the one place where people think you’re stupid.

Texas Democrat James Talarico once called on the federal government to hire abortionists to kill babies. The leftist Senate hopeful wanted Joe Biden to spend taxpayer dollars to hire abortionists as employees and open abortion businesses on federal property -- including in every courthouse and national park -- to expand the killing of unborn babies across the nation. In a June 24, 2022, letter to Biden, then-state representative Talarico urged "extraordinary steps" to counter pro-life protections enacted after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. In an era of digital banking, Ukraine has been discovered to be transporting tens of millions in cash and gold by discreet armored vehicles throughout Europe. Naturally, the suspicion is money laundering, which is highly likely considering the nation; more likely yet considering how much of the American taxpayers’ dollars have gone “missing,” coincidentally finding its way into the bank accounts of Ukraine’s political class, or back into the political coffers of Washington D.C., funding both Democrats and Republicans.

Sen. John Cornyn’s (R-TX) record is receiving increased scrutiny as the Washington establishment spends tens of millions to save the embattled incumbent from a grassroots challenge by MAGA-aligned Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
Cornyn and his allies spent a staggering $70 million in the primary to paint the four-term career politician as a friend of President Donald Trump with a conservative record – spending that made the Texas Republican Senate primary the most expensive primary in the nation’s history. But those Washington consultant-crafted ads hide that Cornyn has spent nearly a decade working to stop President Donald Trump and more than two decades undermining the conservative movement.

Virginia lawmakers have now advanced a bill to regulate how public school teachers discuss the events of January 6, 2021.
House Bill 333 (HB 333), passed by the Democratic-controlled legislature in Richmond, would directly block teachers from presenting the Capitol protest as a “peaceful demonstration” or suggesting that any widespread fraud tainted the 2020 presidential election.
The legislation makes Virginia the first Democratic-led state to wade into this type of “censorship territory.”
The bill is permissive, not required—schools may choose to teach about it, but only if they follow the rules. It doesn’t force any school to include January 6 in their curriculum.

Iranian Kurdish militias in Western Iran and Northern Iraq have been sneaking back and forth across the Iranian border in the last week. They are contemplating joining the fight to oust the Iranian government and gain greater autonomy or, God forbid, carving out an independent state for Kurds across the region.
Kurds are a distinct ethnic group who occupy a swath of territory from northwestern Iran, Eastern Iraq, Eastern Syria, much of Southern Turkey, and a slice of Azerbaijan.
Taken together, the Iran-Iraq Kurdish militias would be a force that Iran's Revolutionary Guards would have to reckon with.

Though most of the focus on Tuesday related to the 2026 midterm elections was on the Senate primary races in North Carolina and Texas, there were some shakeups in NC legislative primaries that saw eight incumbents - three Democrats and five Republicans - lose their reelection bids well before the general election plays out in the fall.
But there is one undecided GOP primary - with a mere two votes separating the contenders - that in many ways has stunned political observers in North Carolina, one which the national media has even zeroed in on for its possible future political implications:

Sen. Tim Scott has spent years carefully building this image as a friendly, non-threatening Republican who gets along with everyone. He smiles, keeps his tone upbeat, and rarely picks a fight (unless it’s on behalf of George Floyd). That approach might work for cable news interviews, but it doesn’t work when you’re supposed to be running one of the most important political operations in the country. Right now, Tim Scott is in charge of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. That job has one very important responsibility. Tim is in charge of recruiting strong candidates, raising lots of money, organizing high-level strategy, and helping Republicans win Senate races.

For decades, American presidents — Democratic and Republican — have said the theocratic dictatorship in Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. For decades, those same administrations were strung along by the ayatollahs. American negotiators — like their European counterparts — sat through years of negotiations. And every time, the revolutionary government in Iran got closer to the bomb. Well, not this time.

Paxton and Sen. John Cornyn are headed to a runoff in May after neither candidate secured a majority of the vote during Tuesday’s primary.
The SAVE America Act would require documentary proof of citizenship to register and voter ID to cast a ballot in federal elections. The cranky Vermont senator who believes billionaires should be abolished wants to legislate them out of existence. It’s too bad that he doesn’t understand that one billionaire is more valuable than a thousand Bernie Sanders.
“Billionaires should not exist,” Sanders, who identifies as a socialist, raged in 2019 during his previous attempt to hit the wealthy with an additional tax that punished them for their success.
That effort, the New York Times reported, was “particularly aggressive in how it would erode the fortunes of billionaires” and “would cut in half the wealth of the typical billionaire after 15 years, according to two economists who worked with the Sanders campaign on the plan.”

The comments to NBC News come after Trump announced that Noem would soon be replaced as DHS chief. Unknown individuals within Mexico’s Navy provided restricted weapons, tactical gear, and body armor to members of the terrorist organization Cartel Jalisco New Generation. The revelation comes from a former cartel hitman who revealed to authorities in April 2025 that he personally went to pick up stashed weapons for the criminal organization.
The information is based on the written statements made by El Elegante, a code name given to a protected witness by Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office. Mexico’s Reforma first published some of El Elegante’s statements this week, revealing that the weapons and gear that cartel gunmen used would often come straight from Mexican Navy warehouses.

Does being an European "ally" of America even mean anything anymore? That's a valid question after several NATO nations not only initially denied the use of their military bases during Operation Epic Fury, the ongoing attack on Iran, but also offered tacit support for the Islamic regime. Perhaps the most public betrayal came from Spain, whose left-wing prime minister claimed the United States was violating "international law."Given Spain's history over the last century or so, it wasn't exactly surprising that they'd take the side of Islamic fascists over the country that pays for their defense.

In the quest to transform our energy systems, policymakers often promise a magical alchemy: turn away from reliable but "dirty" sources like coal, oil, and even nuclear, and replace them with abundant, cheap green energy. New York State has been a laboratory for this experiment since the early 2000s, aggressively phasing out fossil fuels and nuclear plants under the banner of environmental virtue. The result? Skyrocketing electricity bills for residents, even as overall consumption has declined. New York's experience offers a stark warning: green dreams can turn into economic nightmares when they ignore basic math and reality.
Back in 2007, New York generated about 150 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity in-state.

Last June, we set the mullahs back years in their quest for nukes. They have a metric butt-load of ballistic missiles, rockets, and drones, but they weren’t going to fire them off unless we attacked them. After seeing Sulemani turned into sushi, and their nuclear weapons program neutered like a Bulwark job applicant in one fell swoop, they weren’t about to restart throwing fists as long as Donald Trump was in the White House. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said Thursday that the United States has no plans to admit a new wave of Middle Eastern refugees as the conflict with Iran unfolds.
President Donald Trump announced in a Truth Social video early Saturday that the U.S. military launched Operation Epic Fury alongside Israel’s Operation Lion’s Roar. During a press briefing about the Iran attack, a reporter asked whether the Trump administration had safeguards in place to prevent a surge of refugees entering the United States.

In Europe, where 47 million Muslims now live, more and more businesses are demonstrating their respect for Islam, hoping their sensitivity to Muslim needs will turn some — many — of those Muslims into satisfied customers.
The latest tale of Islamopandering comes from Germany, where all McDonald’s stores have chosen to observe Ramadan by taking the food out of its advertising. As they used to say, it’s just the sizzle without the steak. No burgers, no fries, no special sauce. Nothing to see but an empty paper container. Christine Douglass-Williams wrote about this an hour ago, and more on the latest example of preposterous kowtowing to Muslims

Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz told Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert on Wednesday that he was unfamiliar with the names of two Minnesota women allegedly killed by illegal immigrants. During a House Oversight Committee hearing, Boebert asked Walz if he knew who Victoria Eileen Harwell and America Mafalda Thayer were. Walz said he did not believe he was aware of either victim. "These are women who were brutally killed by illegal aliens in your state," Boebert said. "You don't know who they are, so I would also assume that you did not attend their vigils or speak out to their families when they were brutally killed (snip)"

It was a precise decapitation strike. The initial phase of Operation Epic Fury targeted Iran’s top political and military figures and achieved its goal. Their key leaders are now gone, including the core of their military command. In essence, anyone not deterred by our threats to stop their nuclear ambitions is eliminated.
The most significant target was Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, whom Israel was able to eliminate last weekend when this US-Israeli military operation began. They used the Blue Sparrow missile, which was able to rain hellfire from the heavens—literally. The missile seeks its target from space (via NY Post):

Republican lawmakers have finally referred Cassidy Hutchinson to the Department of Justice to see if criminal charges can be brought against her.
And I say “finally,” because Hutchinson is the lunatic who testified under oath that she’d been told that President Donald Trump was so upset the Secret Service would not allow him to attend the rally at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, he literally got into a physical altercation in the presidential limo known as “The Beast.”
Meet the January 6 Committee’s “star” witness in November of 2022:
So, once the president had gotten into the vehicle

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is continuing its investigation into former President Joe Biden’s use of an autopen in the final months of his administration — focusing on pardons and commutations — though a senior official said Biden is unlikely to face criminal exposure. A senior DOJ official told Fox News the autopen investigation is ongoing and not closed, adding investigators are reviewing clemency actions taken in the final months of the Biden administration.
The official also pointed out, however, that the use of an autopen by a sitting president is "established law."
The issue under review is whether the autopen was used in violation of the law, specifically, whether

A Belgian online news outlet has been reprimanded by the country's press ethics body after publishing the full text of a speech by U.S. vice president J. D. Vance, sparking debate about censorship and media freedom. The controversy stems from a speech delivered on February 14, 2025 (snip) Vance sharply criticized what he described as a decline in freedom of speech and democratic values across Europe. (snip) Almost a year later, on February 18th, Belgium's Conseil de deontologie journalistique (CDJ) ruled that the outlet had breached journalistic standards.
That effort, the New York Times reported, was “particularly aggressive in how it would erode the fortunes of billionaires” and “would cut in half the wealth of the typical billionaire after 15 years,

The Virginia-class fast attack submarine (the class is my speculation) USS Charlotte (SSN-776), a Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine sank an Iranian warship about 40 miles off Galle in southern Sri Lanka, killing at least 87 of the 200-plus crew. The ship was the IRIS Dena, a1,500-ton Moudge-class frigate. This class of ship was armed with surface-to-air missiles, a quick-firing 76mm cannon, torpedoes, and surface attack missiles housed in vertical launch cells.
IRIS Dena had been on the subcontinent since February 18, first participating in the International Fleet Review 2026 held at the Indian port of Visakhapatnam. This event was followed by participation in the annual Indian-sponsored Milan naval exercise.

President Trump cast Tucker Carlson out of his Make America Great Again movement following the conservative talking head’s loud criticism of the US and Israeli assault on Iran.
“Tucker has lost his way,” the commander-in-chief told ABC News’ Jonathan Karl on Thursday. “I knew that a long time ago, and he’s not MAGA. MAGA is saving our country. MAGA is making our country great again. MAGA is America first, and Tucker is none of those things. And Tucker is really not smart enough to understand that.”
The comments came after Carlson recently called the strikes on Iran “absolutely disgusting and evil.”

Just one year after Iran unveiled its first drone carrier, the Shahid Bagheri — designed to carry multiple squadrons of drones and operate helicopters — the U.S. military said it struck the vessel, which is now burning. In a statement issued overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, the commander of U.S. Central Command, Adm. Brad Cooper, said American forces had sunk or destroyed more than 30 vessels during the campaign. He added that in the past several hours, U.S. forces had also struck an Iranian drone carrier roughly comparable in size to a World War II–era aircraft carrier. The Shahid Bagheri features a runway allowing drones to take off and land.

One of the many idiotic stunts Democrats pulled during the State of the Union address in late February was to proudly announce they were inviting illegal immigrants to President Trump's speech.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) called out three of them on X shortly before the event started: Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. John Hickenlooper (D-CO), and Rep. Seth Moulton (MA-06).
Regarding Moulton's "guest," DHS wrote that "@RepMoulton plans to bring illegal alien Marcelo Gomes DaSilva. Gomes DaSilva is an illegal alien who has no right to be in our nation. We are committed to enforcing the law and

Foreign Policy magazine is a mouthpiece of the foreign policy establishment that has been wrong about nearly everything for many years. It emails its content daily; today’s featured article is “The Iran War Is Jeopardizing the Entire Global Economy.”
Spoiler alert: the global economy is going to survive.
So why does taking out the mullahs jeopardize the entire global economy? It is easy to see why it might help the global economy; freeing Iran’s 92 million people and allowing them to join the modern world would unquestionably give the global economy a shot in the arm. So why say that the world’s economy is threatened with destruction?

The New York Times sulkily refuses to give President Trump any credit for eliminating the power structure of an authoritarian, murderous Islamic regime working hard to build a nuclear weapon, one that’s bedeviled America, Israel, and the Western world by supporting terror attacks for over 40 years. The latest example of the paper’s petulance ran on Wednesday’s front page, a “news analysis” by Tyler Pager: “Initiating War Is Legacy Risk For President.” Pager got off to a dismal start, with a dense parade of Iran negatives. Six American service members were killed, and U.S. military jets were shot out of the sky. Investors are bracing for market

“Republicans love Donald Trump more than any president's own party supporters loved them at this particular point,” CNN’s Harry Enten reported Thursday, citing results of his network’s latest poll.
No other president of the 21st Century has had this high a percentage of overall approval by supporters of his own party at this point in his presidency, Enten said while explaining why almost all of the primary candidates endorsed by Trump win:
“Why? Because Republicans love Donald Trump more than any president's own party supporters loved him at this particular point.
“Just take a look here, okay. Own-party supporters, 21st century presidents’ own-party approval

Imagine all of this sturm und drang over someone who may not even be vertical and respiratory.
Ever since the death of Ali Khamenei in the opening seconds of the joint US-Israeli military action, Iran has technically been without a head of state. The Supreme Leader in Iran controls all policy and action, as well as commanding all of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic. Ali Larijani and Masoud Pezeshkian can issue orders while hiding in hospital offices, but they do not have the perceived divine and theological authority that the top mullah has in these systems, and that authority is everything. Like most dictatorships, any vacuum

Yesterday there was some kind of major fault at the largest power station on the island, putting at least two-thirds of the country into darkness. Today, reports indicate the power is still off for about half the island and the best indications are that it could be several more days before repairs are completed.
A blackout left millions of people without power in Havana and the rest of western Cuba on Wednesday in the latest outage on an island struggling with dwindling oil reserves and a crumbling electric grid.
Government radio station Radio Rebelde quoted an energy official as saying that it could take at least 72 hours to
