IDF sources confirmed to The Jerusalem Post on Saturday night that the air force has attacked significant oil resources in the Tehran region of Iran.
According to the sources, the oil resources being attacked are directly connected to Iran's military industrial complex. It was unclear what distinctions the IDF would make in such attacks regarding differing oil sites, but there was a clear effort by the sources to emphasize the military nature of the sites, which might otherwise be framed as harming Iran's economic power more broadly, even if a new regime might later take over.
A loud explosion was heard near the US embassy in Oslo, Norway, on Saturday, sparking fears of an attack amid the ongoing Iran conflict. The Norwegian police confirmed the news of the explosion. No injuries have been reported in the incident thus far. “The police are in a dialogue with the embassy and there are no reports of any injured persons,” the Oslo police department said, as per Reuters. A cause for the explosion was not immediately clear but it sparked fears of an attack, amid the ongoing Iran conflict.

Unknown individuals within Mexico’s Navy provided restricted weapons, tactical gear, and body armor to members of the terrorist organization Cartel Jalisco New Generation. The revelation comes from a former cartel hitman who revealed to authorities in April 2025 that he personally went to pick up stashed weapons for the criminal organization.
The information is based on the written statements made by El Elegante, a code name given to a protected witness by Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office. Mexico’s Reforma first published some of El Elegante’s statements this week, revealing that the weapons and gear that cartel gunmen used would often come straight from Mexican Navy warehouses.

Foreign Policy magazine is a mouthpiece of the foreign policy establishment that has been wrong about nearly everything for many years. It emails its content daily; today’s featured article is “The Iran War Is Jeopardizing the Entire Global Economy.”
Spoiler alert: the global economy is going to survive.
So why does taking out the mullahs jeopardize the entire global economy? It is easy to see why it might help the global economy; freeing Iran’s 92 million people and allowing them to join the modern world would unquestionably give the global economy a shot in the arm. The argument against the war with Iran boils down to two points. The first point is that this war was initiated by the hated President Trump, and so it should be opposed. That point cannot be rebutted because it is not a point at all; it’s simply a reactionary expression of hate by people who scarcely bother to conceal their hope that Iran wins.
So, let’s move on to the second point.The second point is that we were able to handle Iran’s aggression for many years without going to war, and so we could have continued to handle its aggression for many more years without going to war.

President Trump warned that Iran would be ‘hit very hard’ on Saturday as the US forces’ “Operation Epic Fury” enters its second week.

How Meet the Press Harms Our Democracy

We should all be concerned about serious problems with our elections, the heart of our democracy. But we can’t fix problems that we refuse to face. There was no better example of the head-in-the-sand attitude than what was recently demonstrated by Kristen Welker of NBC’s prestigious Meet the Press, as she held forth with House Speaker Mike Johnson in February, regarding, among other topics, the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. In the wake of the Trump administration’s FBI seizure of 2020 Georgia election records, Welker barked at Johnson that raising questions about the validity of the 2020 election is dangerous to our democracy.
Critics who call Operation Epic Fury folly or a distraction are missing the point: Iran is just one front in an ongoing, evolving global contest that includes Russia and China.
It stretches to other fronts as well, though President Donald Trump has shut down the one in Venezuela and looks to have Cuba headed the same way.
But Tehran is much more entangled with Moscow and Beijing, exchanging arms, technical know-how and intelligence. Even now, Russia is giving Iran high-quality intelligence to target missiles on US installations, experts conclude: Such precision is beyond the limited capabilities of the Islamic Republic’s handful of military-grade satellites.
