A Democrat Minnesota state lawmaker has called for a study to see if there is a "benefit of shoplifting and retail theft" while he was discussing the topic in a committee meeting on Thursday.
Democrat state Rep. Dave Pinto stated, "Yesterday, there was a presentation from a group seeking to change how we address organized retail theft,
and I actually had not occurred to me to ask, it probably would have been good, it would have been good to make sure that they would study sort of the benefit of shoplifting and of retail theft because perhaps people are relying on that and sort of using that. Maybe it's

Sen. John Cornyn’s (R-TX) record is receiving increased scrutiny as the Washington establishment spends tens of millions to save the embattled incumbent from a grassroots challenge by MAGA-aligned Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
Cornyn and his allies spent a staggering $70 million in the primary to paint the four-term career politician as a friend of President Donald Trump with a conservative record – spending that made the Texas Republican Senate primary the most expensive primary in the nation’s history. But those Washington consultant-crafted ads hide that Cornyn has spent nearly a decade working to stop President Donald Trump and more than two decades undermining the conservative movement.

Virginia lawmakers have now advanced a bill to regulate how public school teachers discuss the events of January 6, 2021.
House Bill 333 (HB 333), passed by the Democratic-controlled legislature in Richmond, would directly block teachers from presenting the Capitol protest as a “peaceful demonstration” or suggesting that any widespread fraud tainted the 2020 presidential election.
The legislation makes Virginia the first Democratic-led state to wade into this type of “censorship territory.”
The bill is permissive, not required—schools may choose to teach about it, but only if they follow the rules. It doesn’t force any school to include January 6 in their curriculum.

President Trump didn’t attend the star-studded memorial service for the Rev. Jesse Jackson but he was at the top of mind for many of its speakers. Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Al Sharpton all used their eulogies to take pot shots at the president, his policies, and his vision for America.
“Let me just say I predicted a lot about what’s happening right now,” Harris bragged as the crowd roared in applause. “I’m not into saying I told you so but we did see it coming." She did not mention Trump by name but it was clear she was talking about his presidency. Trump overwhelmingly beat her

Sen. Tim Scott has spent years carefully building this image as a friendly, non-threatening Republican who gets along with everyone. He smiles, keeps his tone upbeat, and rarely picks a fight (unless it’s on behalf of George Floyd). That approach might work for cable news interviews, but it doesn’t work when you’re supposed to be running one of the most important political operations in the country. Right now, Tim Scott is in charge of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. That job has one very important responsibility. Tim is in charge of recruiting strong candidates, raising lots of money, organizing high-level strategy, and helping Republicans win Senate races.

Thursday on MS NOW’s “The Briefing,” Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) said former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will have to answer questions from investigators in Minnesota.
Walz said, “Former Secretary Noem should probably get used to spending more time in Minnesota because I have a pretty good feeling in the future she may be doing that because we have got to get accountability.”
Host Jen Psaki said, “When you say she, she’s just expect to spend some time, more time in Minnesota what do you mean by that?”
Walz said, “Well, look, our folks are going to be, looking into each and every one of these incidents that happened.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said Thursday that the United States has no plans to admit a new wave of Middle Eastern refugees as the conflict with Iran unfolds.
President Donald Trump announced in a Truth Social video early Saturday that the U.S. military launched Operation Epic Fury alongside Israel’s Operation Lion’s Roar. During a press briefing about the Iran attack, a reporter asked whether the Trump administration had safeguards in place to prevent a surge of refugees entering the United States.

In Europe, where 47 million Muslims now live, more and more businesses are demonstrating their respect for Islam, hoping their sensitivity to Muslim needs will turn some — many — of those Muslims into satisfied customers.
The latest tale of Islamopandering comes from Germany, where all McDonald’s stores have chosen to observe Ramadan by taking the food out of its advertising. As they used to say, it’s just the sizzle without the steak. No burgers, no fries, no special sauce. Nothing to see but an empty paper container. Christine Douglass-Williams wrote about this an hour ago, and more on the latest example of preposterous kowtowing to Muslims

Republican lawmakers have finally referred Cassidy Hutchinson to the Department of Justice to see if criminal charges can be brought against her.
And I say “finally,” because Hutchinson is the lunatic who testified under oath that she’d been told that President Donald Trump was so upset the Secret Service would not allow him to attend the rally at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, he literally got into a physical altercation in the presidential limo known as “The Beast.”
Meet the January 6 Committee’s “star” witness in November of 2022:
So, once the president had gotten into the vehicle

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is continuing its investigation into former President Joe Biden’s use of an autopen in the final months of his administration — focusing on pardons and commutations — though a senior official said Biden is unlikely to face criminal exposure. A senior DOJ official told Fox News the autopen investigation is ongoing and not closed, adding investigators are reviewing clemency actions taken in the final months of the Biden administration.
The official also pointed out, however, that the use of an autopen by a sitting president is "established law."
The issue under review is whether the autopen was used in violation of the law, specifically, whether

President Donald Trump said he is appointing Kristi Noem as his “special envoy for the Shield of the Americas” as he announced her removal as homeland security secretary. The White House says the initiative reflects Trump’s effort to shift U.S. national security strategy toward the Western Hemisphere.
Trump is scheduled to meet Saturday with leaders from 11 Latin American countries at his golf club in Doral, Florida, for what the administration is calling a “Shield” summit. Leaders from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, and Trinidad and Tobago are expected to attend,

Something pretty big just went down behind the scenes in the federal government, and it could end up changing the entire illegal immigration game. According to a new report, the Department of Homeland Security appears to be stepping in and taking a more aggressive role in investigating illegal employment inside the United States.
And no, they’re not politely coordinating with the IRS. They basically just told them to “take a seat.”
DHS is reportedly bypassing the IRS and using its own investigative team to dig into the relationship between employers and illegal workers. For years, everyone avoided this tactic. Why? Because the uniparty knew it would actually break the pipeline,
