Honest question: Why do Democrats spend so much time grandstanding against what the vast majority of Americans want?
Because it doesn’t make sense to me.
Case in point – Republicans in Congress want stricter voting requirements, such as voter ID and proof of citizenship. The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act (also known as the SAVE America Act) has already passed the House and is now before the Senate. At his State of the Union address on Feb. 24, President Donald Trump specifically called on the Senate to take up the bill.
"Congress should unite and enact this commonsense, country-saving legislation right now," Trump said.

The Democrats showed their true colors at Tuesday evening’s State of the Union when they failed the president’s test of allegiance to this country.
They are so devoted to illegal migration that they walked straight into his trap. President Trump asked every lawmaker in the chamber to stand if they believe their primary duty is to protect American citizens rather than illegal migrants.
That should have be a no-brainer.
It is the essence of putting America first.
But the Democrats refused to stand.

Ahead of President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address, he promised he’d discuss how we are a country “that’s now doing well with the greatest economy we’ve ever had.”
That’s what he needed to do, and overall, he did.
“Our nation is back,” Trump said at the start of his speech Feb. 24, marking the secure border, reduced crime, falling inflation and improving economy. “The state of our union is strong.” During his roughly two-hour address, the president stayed mostly upbeat and on message (for Trump).
His theme was “America at 250: Strong, Prosperous and Respected,” with the country’s 250th birthday and the midterm elections just months away

Breaking a record he set previously, President Trump delivered the longest State of the Union address in history at a moment when Americans increasingly disapprove of his handling of the economy, have soured on his immigration crackdown, and have threatened to throw congressional Republicans out of power.
Trump spoke for one hour and 47 minutes. He made the most of the moment, attempting to thread the needle between heralding accomplishments, while assuring a still jittery public – particularly when it comes to the economy – that better days are on the horizon.

By now, the video has gone viral with Trump asking a simple question:
“If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal immigrants.” With great timing and a gift for performance and storytelling, Trump pauses and lets the applause grow. He luxuriated in the moment as the Democrats sat there, stone-faced, thinking it would play well at MS-Now. It probably will. Trump wanted all of America to see it and remember it. He set a trap. They walked right into it.
“You should be ashamed,” he said.

Not enough media or political attention is given to grave hunger crises in the Global South, according to analysts. Reports also say far more is spent on weapons than food relief. Amina Suleman left her village in Maradun, Zamfara state, in northwestern Nigeria, fleeing Islamist militants.
"They killed many of us, and looted our properties and animals. They burnt everything including our food," she told DW.
The attacks happened seven years ago, but the security situation still hasn't improved. Government forces are fighting jihadi militias and bandits to stamp out kidnappings and extortion.

Abigail Spanberger, the new governor of Virginia, who has been tapped to deliver the Democrats’ State of the Union reply Tuesday night, is the perfect avatar for her party’s deception.
With her long blond bob, minimalist makeup, pinched face and brisk air, she looks like the sort of competent working mom you’d encounter at school drop-off in any affluent suburb. In other words, she seems like somebody you instinctively trust.
But don’t be fooled by appearances. Spanberger is an expert at subterfuge, having spent eight years as an undercover CIA case officer, aka a spy, under Barack Obama and John Brennan, in the era when Democrats turned national security back on itself.

A man in his early 20s was shot and killed early Sunday after allegedly breaching the secure perimeter of President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, the U.S. Secret Service announced. The Secret Service said the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. when the suspect made an "unauthorized entry" at the property.
The individual was observed near the north gate carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel can.
Agents and a deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) confronted the man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Friday’s blockbuster ruling on tariffs was hardly welcomed by the Trump administration, but it was also widely expected. The Supreme Court clearly established in its 6-3 decision that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act does not afford presidents authority to issue sweeping, unilateral tariffs like those imposed by President Trump over the last year.
The justices fractured on other issues. And they left one issue conspicuously unaddressed: What happens to the hundreds of billions of dollars collected from these tariffs so far?

California Democrats are reportedly panicking over the possibility that the state’s jungle primary system could send two Republicans to the November ballot, a scenario Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco told Fox News Digital is the result of "decades of complete Democrat failure." The New York Post reported that Democratic lawmakers are privately warning a crowded and "uninspiring" field of candidates could split the vote in California’s top-two primary system, allowing Republicans to advance to the two-person runoff in a state long dominated by Democrats.

If you’re struggling to make sense of the economy today, you’re not alone. Many so-called experts completely whiffed their forecasts, while positive economic data — the Dow Jones Industrial Average at 50,000 points — seemingly contradicts negative survey responses. But understanding five key elements reveals we’re about to be off to the races. First, 2025 was a year of transition for the economy. Under Democrat President Joe Biden, particularly his last two years in office, job growth was disproportionately due to government hiring. Similarly, government purchases played an outsized role in growing overall economic activity, as measured by gross domestic product (GDP).

Iran is rebuilding nuclear sites damaged in previous U.S. strikes and "preparing for war," despite engaging in talks with the Trump administration, according to a prominent Iranian opposition figure. Alireza Jafarzadeh, deputy director of the Washington office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said newly released satellite images also prove the regime has accelerated its efforts to restore its "$2 trillion" uranium enrichment capabilities.
"The regime has clearly stepped up efforts to rebuild its uranium enrichment capabilities," Jafarzadeh told Fox News Digital. "It is preparing itself for a possible war by trying to preserve its nuclear weapons program and ensure its protection."
