Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has formally banned Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from city property as well as mandated the detention of any agent who uses “excessive force” on city residents.
The Democrat leader officially moved to protect illegal aliens from federal immigration enforcement with an executive order that comes amid his party’s efforts to use the current partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as leverage to force changes to ICE that would severely impact its mission.
“No ICE officer gets to stand in our way of saving someone’s life. To protect Denver, if we see any ICE officer using excessive force against a Denver resident,

I’d like to see him try to enforce this. I suspect he’ll shortly receive a visit from Tom Homan or Kristi Noem, who will give him and tge Denver Police chief a “come to Jesus” speech.

Not going to work, clown. As much force as is necessary will be used, and you have NO SAY in the matter.
I'm pretty sure that no Denver police are stupid enough to mess with ICE officers making an arrest.

Gotta keep those illegal aliens in CO and Denver so they can keep their excess Congressional seats and Electoral College votes, not to mention all the Federal benefits the illegal aliens siphon from American citizens.

If ANY Cop on the street intends to make that Charge Stick...in Court, while under federal indictment for interfering, he'd better have irrefutable, inarguable, absolutely No Doubt evidence...not only of the action itself, but of the Law, and the state of mind of the "Perceiving Officer", which IS the basis for determination in ALL Use of Force questions.

It is a crime to interfere with a federal law enforcement officer in the performance of his duties. 18 U.S.C. 118. Under the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution, the federal law prevails.

Will the local police be arresting the activists and agitators who are causing unrest and problems which might lead to the need for shows of force from ICE?

Send in an undercover ICE agent to offer him a bribe for the pardon of a random Colorado inmate. When he cashes the check, arrest him for accepting a bribe.

Common sense and history will tell you that if, as leftist Democrats are calling for, to abolish ICE and change the Federal Immigration laws in the future to where only illegal aliens with known very serious and violent criminal records would be subject to arrest and deportation, with incoming untold millions of future illegal aliens knowing that they would no longer be subject to arrest and deportation as long as US immigration authorities did not learn that they had very serious and violent criminal records, that the USA would be flooded with untold millions of future illegal aliens from adversarial, and Third World countries, most being poor and uneducated, eventually swamping the current US population. Resulting in the USA becoming a very different country forced to accept huge unlimited numbers of foreign origin people who were born and grew up in foreign absolutist ideologies that even prohibits those immigrants from assimilating into greater US society, with many no doubt supporting foreign country adversarial actions of all sorts relating to military and political actions against the USA, causing severe damage to the current way the USA has been established, even culminating with the USA being transitioned into some sort of future socialist utopia, and perhaps losing its sovereignty as it is now known. The leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats would no doubt love that to happen.

In the vast majority of split second violent arrest situations who is to say at the moment that excessive force was used? If this mayor were to command the Denver Police Department to arrest on duty Federal Immigration Officers who were affecting the arrests of deportable illegal aliens, in the end it could well result in that mayor ending up in a Federal jail and being sued civilly by the Federal Immigration Officers. So who knows is the mayor’s comments were not just another political attempt to blow smoke to his leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat supporters, since many Democrat politicians are doing about the same all over the USA.
