More than 20,000 illegal alien commercial truck drivers in California were about to lose their licenses, until a judge stepped in. The Trump administration has been pressuring California to revoke the licenses of some illegal alien truck drivers after a series of news reports about truck drivers who did not understand English, causing deadly accidents. An Alameda County Superior Court judge issued a ruling on Wednesday barring the state from canceling the licenses.

There's a lot of focus on the high-profile accidents illegal drivers cause. How about so-called minor accidents where a car still gets badly damaged and occupants have life-long injuries? I bet they are causing a lot of those too, but minor accidents are largely ignored by the media.

The judicial and legislative branches do not give a flying Foxtrot about the peoples safety. Their only goal is to slay the orange dragon. Your pursuit of happiness is of no consequence to them. Read our Declaration of Independence - it specifically references the governments responsibilities to our Safety and Happiness. How's that working out for you lately?

The SeeBS report is factually fraudulent. First these are ILLEGAL ALIENS, not "immigrants". And second, these licenses were being cancelled because the drivers had been licensed fraudulently, not "due to clerical issues". These illegal aliens were NOT ELIGIBLE to have a CDL.

These are illegal aliens. They have jobs as truck drivers. Is the company not violating federal law? Can they be fined? They have the drivers names, and access to their photo ids. Why can't ICE pull the trucks over and arrest the drivers and inform the company to come pick up their truck? And yes, charge the judge in any bodily injury cases. And give his name to the ambulance chasers for the civil suits. Can the lawyers find a way through any shield laws?

The licensing laws of states surrounding California would apply and they could arrest these drivers as soon as they crossed over out of California. They will do something stupid of course, like bring their loads to the border and transfer them to legal truckers.

Probably can't legally hold the judges responsible but the company hiring these illegal truck jockeys can be sued into bankruptcy. They hire these drivers because they will work cheaper. The owners should be held responsible if they can't hide behind the 'corporate veil' but their assets including trucks can be seized. As a former insurance agent, I don't know how the trucking companies can get insurance if they become aware of who the drivers are. The trucking companies are responsible for illegals and poorly trained drivers on the road, and it's simply greed. They are aware of who their drivers are in spite of any denials.

Why hasn't the administration deported them? The president could order ICE checkpoints on interstate highways and all illegals found taken into custody. Those who have never been charged could be taken before a judge and removal orders obtained and executed. All very legal and, even if time consuming, at least the ball gets rolling towards deportation. Besides the ruling of a single county judge, whose jurisdiction is Alameda County, only applies to Alameda County. Since county judges are elected within their respective counties, it wouldn't surprise me if Alameda County Superior Court judge is an illegal alien. In California, court decision involving (restricted) judicial review of state government decisions are only made pursuant to lower court appeals. The article gave no evidence that this case was appealed from a lower court decision, this particular judge's ruling is ripe to be overturned.

If those foreign origin truck drivers are illegal aliens they need permission to be employed in the USA before they can legally work in the USA. If not their employer can be fined and potentially criminally prosecuted. That is all Federal process that a California county judge would have no jurisdiction to comment or rule on, it seems like the US Department of Transportation should move to have that matter removed to the Federal Court of jurisdiction. Beyond that, ICE does not need seperate ICE checkpoints of their own to along highways to identify and arrest illegal alien truck drivers. All they have to do is station Federal ICE Law Enforcement Officers at the State weigh stations that are located all along the Interstate Highway System and major State Highways to do that.

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has formally banned Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from city property as well as mandated the detention of any agent who uses “excessive force” on city residents. The Democrat leader officially moved to protect illegal aliens from federal immigration enforcement with an executive order that comes amid his party’s efforts to use the current partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as leverage to force changes to ICE that would severely impact its mission. “No ICE officer gets to stand in our way of saving someone’s life.
