The United Nations chief condemned the U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran and called for an immediate return to negotiations “to pull the region, and our world, back from the brink.” Secretary-General António Guterres told an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council on Saturday that everything must be done to prevent further escalation. “The alternative,” he warned, “is a potential wider conflict with grave consequences for civilians and regional stability.” Guterres said the U.S. and Israeli airstrikes violated international law, including the U.N. Charter. He also condemned Iran’s retaliatory attacks for violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The UN has no place here and no authority. They can babble all they want about international law. Trump has never agreed to follow it and never will. They may, though, want to consider removing Iran from their Human Rights Council. It’s why no one takes them seriously.

This only makes it clear that the UN "chief" is over his head in his cush job. He doesn't understand the downside to the "diplomatic" world: sometimes only force works on bad actors, and sometimes only radical and righteous change settles the storm and preserves the peace for the long term. Back in the day, as they like to say, there was stuff we should have done but didn’t because of “world opinion”. That was in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s. Reagan told the Russians to shove it, H.W. went into Iraq but didn’t finish the job and Ford did go after the NORKS for taking our ship. Trump has changed everything. FAFO rules, and it was long over due. I look back at Colin Powell and saw that he was nothing but a RINO, but that’s another story. At long last we have a truly strong President. Four more years I say.

UNRWA was shown to be activly aiding & assisting Hamas and Hezbollah in terrorist ops against Israel. The U.N. might want to start looking for new digs elsewhere in the world-Trump is dealing with ALL threats to the USA like Michael Corleone at the end of The Godfather, The U.N. is obsolete and ineffectual as a means of stopping conflicts worldwide, and its two main purposes now are condeming Israel and providing a haven for spies in the US. It was high time for Trump to eliminate the mullahs, its high time to evict the UN from their posh digs in NYC.
