The media has a short memory (or none at all). Truman stripped the interior of the WH to redecorate and bring it up to date. Of course, this is now a done deal and they can bring all the lawsuits that they want. If you donate to the National Trust for Historic Preservation which seems to be some arm of the left now, tell them why you will no longer give.

While Truman had the white house work done, he and Mrs. Truman stayed at the Blair House. And one morning, Puerto Rican nationalists got into a fun battle with the Secret Service in front of the Blair House, and Truman came out on the balcony, in jockey shorts, to see what was happening. Decades later, Bill Clinton pardoned the puerto rican nationalists, right before hillary ran for the U.S. senate seat for NY. It was a mere coincidence.

I have heard that several buildings in Washington, D.C. are expected from getting a “mother may i” from any of these organizations to make changes to them and the White House is one of them. This addition to the White House is long overdue. I believe the historic necessity of having to hold large state receptions in a large tent on the lawn with port a potty toilet facilities is not worth preserving.

Generally, the Washington Post is the outlet for interests and concerns of the CIA or international elements of the U.S. intelligence community. Narratives from the Washington Post usually shape storylines against scrutiny of the Intelligence Community. It has been widely reported that the FBI has been working closely with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) in detecting and discovering corruption amid Ukraine officials who have skimmed money from various international aid programs. However, the Washington Post is suddenly concerned that FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino have held “secret meetings” with lead Ukraine peace negotiator Rustem Umerov.

The geopolitical baseline for Europe is often determined by the economics of their situation. In 2024 approximately 408,000 cars from China were sold in Europe. For 2025 that number is now expected to exceed 700,000 units despite tariffs. Previously we highlighted the short-term ramifications of the European Union push to force the sale of electric vehicle (EVs) upon the consumer base. {SEE HERE} EU automakers unable to meet the compliance goal began purchasing carbon credits to avoid stiff EU fines. Many of those carbon credits were purchased from Chinese automakers, who then turned around and started using the extra EU revenue to discount Chinese cars

One defers to others because of their position of authority, regardless of whether they are honest, honorable, decent and capable. Respect, however, must be earned every day. We defer to others because of their positions and to a lesser degree, their accomplishments. We respect others because of who they are, because they’ve proved themselves worthy of our respect regardless of their positions of authority. In the military, you defer to rank, but you respect those who don’t trade on it, or who fling their accomplishments
