The 54-year-old parliamentarian was killed by an attacker posing as a courier in the western city of Lviv on Saturday, sparking a manhunt.

Sometimes, the legacy media's bias is so open, so shameless, that it's jaw-dropping. It's been this way since the Nixon years, when we watched on cumbersome tube televisions[snip] The rise of the internet just made matters worse; while we got some balance with the rise of the alternative media, like this site, the legacy media abandoned any pretext of objectivity. Case in point: Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, on Sunday, appeared on CBS's "Face the Nation," and they did an absolutely shameless edit of her statement about the illegal alien, Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

In the days following the 9/11 terror attacks on New York City's World Trade Center, New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, due to his diligence and first-hand management of the crisis, became known for a time as "America's Mayor." We should also note that his crime policies made New York, during his tenure, one of America's safest major cities. America's Mayor is now 81, and still active. But Saturday night, in New Hampshire, after aiding a female victim of a domestic assault who flagged down Mr. Giuliani's auto, Mayor Giuliani was seriously injured in what authorities are calling a "freak accident."

On Wednesday morning, ICE agents raided a home in San Diego to apprehend a thrice-deported illegal alien who is also a convicted pedophile and known gang member. Unlike your garden-variety pedophile gang member, this creep's home was also the location of his wife's home day care operation. And his wife, Dulce Villagomez, is a SEIU activist, proudly working alongside California Gov. Gavin Newsom for the unionization of day care workers.
This picture, and the backstory, perfectly encapsulate the relationship between California Democrats like Gavin Newsom, activist organizations like SEIU (let's be real; its purpose is no-borders socialism, not representing workers), gangs, and criminal illegal aliens.

Low utility middlemen in the Trump administration are feeling left out again, and so they’re back to anonymously moaning to the news media. This time they’re ragging on White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and his peacemaking efforts with Russia and Ukraine.
Politico on Friday quoted several unnamed “U.S. and foreign officials and other people” in a piece critical of Witkoff. None of them are worth repeating, as is usually the case with anything anonymous, but the most telling part of the article, by the unfortunately named Felicia Schwartz, came 16 paragraphs in.

A US guided-missile cruiser was spotted crossing the Panama Canal as part of a build-up of ships near Venezuela — as administration gave a dire prediction about the country’s dictator Nicolás Maduro.
The USS Lake Eerie crossed the Panama Canal from the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea Friday night — over a week after President Trump directed at least eight Navy warships to the region in a bid to counter narco-terrorists in South America.
The move is also in part meant to ramp-up the pressure on the far-left Maduro, whom the United States views as an illegitimate leader following two bogus elections, sources close to the administration told The Post.

President Donald Trump announced that he intends to issue an executive order that would include strict voter ID requirements and restrictions on mail-in ballots.
He said on Saturday that the executive order would call for the end of electronic voting systems and paper ballots as a replacement.
"Voter I.D. Must Be Part of Every Single Vote. NO EXCEPTIONS!" he wrote in a post on his platform Truth Social. "Will Be Doing An Executive Order To That End!!! Also, No Mail-In Voting, Except For Those That Are Very Ill, And The Far Away Military. USE PAPER BALLOTS ONLY!!!"

A federal judge has ordered an emergency halt to a plan by the Trump administration to send more than 600 unaccompanied Guatemalan children back to their home country — some within a matter of hours — after immigrant advocacy groups sued, calling the unannounced plan illegal.
U.S. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan issued the order just after 4 a.m. Sunday, finding that the “exigent circumstances” described in the lawsuit warranted immediate action “to maintain the status quo until a hearing can be set.”

Chicago's far-left leadership just made its priorities crystal clear—criminal illegal aliens first, federal law second. Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) has signed an executive order aimed at blocking federal immigration authorities from doing their jobs in the city, even as Chicago grapples with out-of-control crime, an illegal immigration crisis, and mounting public frustration. The order openly declares that city police will not assist federal agents in arresting or removing illegal immigrants, even those with criminal records. Instead, the city’s law department has been instructed to use “any and every legal mechanism” to target the federal government for trying to enforce immigration laws.

Pope Leo XIV on Sunday called for an end to the “pandemic of arms, large and small,” as he prayed publicly for the victims of a shooting during a Catholic school Mass in the United States.
History’s first U.S. pope spoke in English as he denounced the attack and the “logic of weapons” fueling wars around the world, during his Sunday noon blessing from his studio overlooking St. Peter’s Square.
“Our prayers for the victims of the tragic shooting during a school Mass in the American state of Minnesota,” said the Chicago-born Leo. “We hold in our prayers the countless children killed and injured every day around the world.

Germany, the region that once pushed back against the entire Roman Empire, has self-immolated and will soon be no more. It’s a sad and useful reminder about the destruction that leftism has wrought across the West.
If you examine a map of the Roman Empire at its peak, one thing you might not have noticed is that the Romans never made significant inroads into the regions held by Germanic tribes, the area that became modern-day Germany. This wasn’t just an oversight on Rome’s part or a carelessly missed opportunity. It happened because of one man, Arminius, and the Battle of Teutoburg Forest in 9 A.D.

Oil giant Shell USA is the latest corporation to be held accountable for the racial discrimination that has been a hallmark of the DEI era, and is facing a lawsuit over an alleged purge of white employees.
A lawsuit was filed this week in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on behalf of two former workers who say they were fired from their longtime jobs and replaced with less qualified employees as part of a “racially discriminatory reorganization that targeted white employees.”

A man is dead after a shooting on Saturday night involving an Aurora police officer. That's according to the Aurora Police Department. The situation began at about 7:30 p.m. when an officer tried to conduct a traffic stop near the intersection of 6th Avenue and Billings Street. That's close to Interstate 225 and to Sable Boulevard. APD says following a traffic violation, the vehicle the officer was trying to stop on 6th Avenue crashed into a car and then crossed the media and hit another vehicle. It could be seen afterwards with heavy damage outside a Dino Mart gas

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is taking a defiant stance against President Donald Trump’s promise to deploy the National Guard to the nation's third-largest city. Johnson on Aug. 30 signed an executive order he said lays out "how we can stand up against this tyranny." Chicago police will not help the National Guard with immigration enforcement or related activities such as conducting traffic stops and manning checkpoints, according to the order. "This is about making a very clear distinction between what our law enforcement engages in versus what federal agents engage in," Johnson said at a news conference. "This president is

Almost weekly in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, and Germany, a sensational assault committed by an illegal migrant -- often enjoying some sort of state support or with prior arrests for the same crime -- surfaces.
Until recently, European politicians and the media sought to either ignore such news or accuse those who clamored for tighter borders, more police protection, and stiffer penalties of being "racists" or "xenophobes."
Until recently, that is.
Mass protests are now common in Britain against the Labour Party's open borders policies and generous welfare entitlements for immigrants who arrive illegally and without authentic "political refugee" status.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump highlighted how he was “very proud of the beautiful stonework” in the Rose Garden, adding that renovations of the Rose Garden were “completed.” Trump continued to add that days ago, while “admiring the stonework,” he noticed the gash in the limestone that “extended more than 25 yards long”

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) once again has broken with his fellow Democrats, this time defending President Donald Trump’s plan to add a large ballroom to the White House. The plans are going to be done in a tasteful and historical kind of way,” Fetterman said in an interview this week with Fox News Digital. “They’re not putting in a Dave & Buster’s kind of situation here, so I think upgrading some of these facilities seems pretty normal.” Fetterman, to the surprise of many pundits, has emerged during Trump’s second term as a maverick, a bipartisan-minded Democrat who has backed the president on a variety of issues including Israel, the border,

This week, the dominoes began to fall at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Back in September 2023, the floundering Biden administration tapped Daskalakis—a self-proclaimed “trusted voice for the LGBTQ community”—to lead the White House’s national monkeypox response as Deputy Coordinator.
Fast-forward to Wednesday, and Daskalakis bolted from his role as Director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the CDC.
His exit came mere hours after CDC Director Susan Monarez was unceremoniously ousted, and on the very day RFK Jr. announced sweeping reforms to dismantle the vaccine mandates that crippled our economy and freedoms.

Americans rightfully have significant expectations when it comes to privacy. We have constitutional protections against government overreach but we're more exposed to Big Tech companies like Google. Texas’ $1.375 billion settlement against Google for harvesting location, biometric, and search data without consent has achieved a victory for Texans and further exposed Google’s surveillance empire, but Americans at large are still at risk. Conservatives must demand better data privacy reforms from state and federal governments to stop Google as it continues to undermine data privacy through ad tech tracking, AI data grabs, and lobbying efforts against privacy laws.

We’ve written about many of the problems Britain is experiencing—and the terrible choices their government has made over the years—because it’s a cautionary tale. Many of the policies that have led to its decline, like unfettered immigration from populations that despise the United Kingdom's values, insane censorship, a national health service with endless wait times for an appointment, and a refusal to listen to its residents' desires, are exactly the kind of “utopian” dictates that leftists have been trying to impose on this country for years.A new poll from YouGov reveals exactly how Britons feel about the state of their kingdom, and the numbers are truly ugly:

SOMERVILLE, Tenn. — Investigators released new information Friday after exhuming the body of Pauline Mullins Pusser nearly six decades after she was buried. Pauline was the wife of Sheriff Buford Pusser, a Tennessee legend known for carrying a stick as he cracked down on crime.
Mark Davidson, District Attorney for the 25th Judicial District, said the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has “produced evidence sufficient to create probable cause.” That means that “more likely than not,” if Buford Pusser were alive today, an indictment could be presented to the McNairy County Grand Jury for their consideration against him for the murder of his wife.
More than likely, Davidson explained,

The winds of change could soon blow on Iran, according to a new report.
The Islamic Republic is facing collapse, indicates the report, issued by UK-based Henry Jackson Society this week, as the UN accuses Tehran of executing nearly 900 people already this year “as a tool of intimidation.”
If the Islamic Republic falls, “there is a danger that regime collapse could lead to a vacuum of governance that is accompanied by civil war,” according to the findings.
“This is an outcome that must be avoided at all costs for the Iranian people, and every step must therefore be made to ensure that any transition is quick and painless,” it added.

By now we are getting used to lower courts misappropriating their roles, acting as if they occupied that of the chief executive. As these cases reach the Supreme Court, they are being overturned, but not without a cost to the president’s agenda or to the respect to which we’d normally accord the judiciary. The notion of a judicial coup is not far off, and people like Elon Musk suggest it’s time for Congress to initiate impeachment proceedings against the worst offenders.

Republican Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa is not running for reelection to a third term in the 2026 midterms, according to reports.
Multiple sources close to the 55-year-old senator told CBS News about her decision, which is expected to be officially announced on Sept. 4.
Ernst's decision to retire, which had been rumored for months, will create an open seat in the heavily Republican-leaning state.
Ernst succeeded longtime Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin and gained fame with her anti-pork barrel spending slogan: “Make ‘em squeal.”
Ernst and Sen. Chuck Grassley hold Iowa's Senate seats, while all four of the state's congressional districts are also held by Republicans.
