The National Park Service reportedly fired a trans Yosemite National Park ranger who hung a transgender pride flag across the park’s El Capitan rock formation in California earlier this year. Shannon "SJ" Joslin, 35, wrote an Instagram post on Monday claiming to have been fired from the park "for practicing my First Amendment right" after hanging the 55-foot by 35-foot flag across Yosemite’s iconic rock destination in May. Joslin, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, claimed to have raised the flag while off-duty and as a private citizen. "I was fired by the temporary Deputy Superintendent for ‘failing to

A small rally for Minneapolis Democratic Socialist Mayoral Candidate Omar Fateh was held mostly in Somali on Sunday night. Fateh, who currently serves as a Minnesota state senator, announced his mayoral candidacy last year and was recently endorsed by the Minnesota Democratic-Labor-Farmer (DFL) Party. He became the first Somali American and Muslim elected to the Minnesota Senate after defeating Democrat Jeff Hayden in 2020. (Snip) During the rally, which was recorded and broadcast by Somali TV Minnesota, multiple speakers, including Fateh, took to the microphone while speaking Somali. Failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ lefty, activist stepdaughter was back to her whiney ways in a new TikTok video — in which she bizarrely claimed to suffer from “climate anxiety.” “I think everything with the environment is really f–king getting to me, and it is — I experience a lot of climate anxiety, like all of us do,” Ella Emhoff ranted in a nearly six-and-a-half-minute long “check in” video posted to her TikTok account Thursday. The 26-year-old sometimes-model and fashion designer, clad in an orange hat bearing the message, “Take off your clothes,” chuckled in the clip, before quickly becoming

“The View” co-host Ana Navarro posted a message on Instagram Thursday morning urging singer Gloria Gaynor to reject President Trump’s Kennedy Center Honor. “A few years ago, I got to briefly meet @gloriagaynor at a concert in Miami. She gifted me a keychain that belted out ‘I Will Survive,’ when you pressed it. Let’s just say, during first Trump term, I pressed it til it ran out of batteries,” Navarro began in her Instagram post. “Yesterday, Trump announced he picked her to receive a Kennedy Center Honor, which he plans to host.” Navarro continued: “Look, the woman is a goddess

Another round of car break-ins happened overnight Wednesday in Minneapolis, bringing the total number of vehicles damaged in the city to roughly 475 since July 14. At least 125 vehicle owners are dealing with broken windows after this latest round that occurred in parts of northeast and south Minneapolis. Neighbors near Northeast Main Street and 11th Avenue Northeast say seemingly every window was smashed, with dozens of vehicles hit. They also say thieves targeted the same area just three weeks ago. Former President Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden, has filed for divorce from her plastic surgeon husband, Dr. Howard Krein, after more than 13 years of marriage, court records show. U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro on Monday briefly morphed into the Fox News host whose rapier-like response sent liberals quivering. Pirro spoke with the media to add her endorsement to President Donald Trump’s plan to reduce crime in the District of Columbia by calling out the National Guard and putting the Metropolitan Police Department under federal control. (Snip) “If we had the fourth-highest homicide rate in the country two years ago, all of the sudden it goes down, and people want to pat themselves on the back. No way. NEW YORK — Affordability was at the center of Zohran Mamdani’s winning primary campaign for New York City mayor. President Donald Trump has become the focus of his general election bid. The Democratic nominee launched a five-borough tour “against Trump” on Monday to amplify how he believes the president will harm New York City — and why Mamdani thinks he should be elected to lead the vanguard. He’s also tying opponents Andrew Cuomo, Eric Adams and Curtis Sliwa closely to Trump, adopting a classic Democratic general election playbook by casting two fellow Democrats and the GOP nominee as the president’s

As Sen. Ruben Gallego heads to Iowa this weekend openly musing about a possible presidential run, he does so from near the back of the potential Democratic pack. He ranks among the worst-funded and rarest names mentioned in the mix for the White House.
But going to Iowa, a state with a history of outsized importance in picking presidential nominees, can raise Gallego’s national profile and kindle interest in a place where it might matter if he does run. Later this month, the freshman senator from Arizona is planning a swing through New Hampshire, historically home to the nation’s first

Seattle is on track to elect one of the farthest left candidates in its history as the city suffers severe homelessness, violent crime waves and budget crises. Katie Wilson, 43, a former union leader who has pledged to 'Trump-proof' the Democrat-led city in Washington state, holds a narrow lead in her primary showdown with incumbent mayor Bruce Harrell. (Snip) She has also vowed to establish an 'Asylum Seeker Rapid Rehousing voucher program' that would provide migrants with two years of free housing subsidies, and instate a number of climate change policies.
