The end is near for on-the-job reverse
discrimination — another blow to DEI

The leftists who oppose discrimination against minorities, but favor “reverse discrimination” against other Americans to promote workplace “equity,” are about to lose a legal leg to stand on. The Supreme Court seems poised, in deciding Ames v. Ohio in the next few weeks, to decapitate the legal viability of reverse discrimination against heterosexuals — and give a strong boost to racial reverse-discrimination claims as well. Marlean Ames alleged that she suffered employment discrimination as a heterosexual in an Ohio state agency that favored LGBTQ employees.

Here is the question which has never been answered - - because it can't be answered: How does the government - - the Law - - know who is a homosexual and who isn't? Does just saying you're a homosexual make you a homosexual? If a man lisps and swishes - - does that make him a homosexual? Homosexuality is defined by with whom you have sex. How does the government know who is having sex with whom? Are there official observers who watch all sexual interactions? Exacyly how does any of this work?

From the article: "Ohio Department of Youth Services" May 6, 2025 "CLEVELAND — President Donald Trump endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy on the night Ramaswamy kicked off his campaign to be Ohio’s next governor." "More than two months later, term-limited Gov. Mike DeWine is scrambling behind the scenes to keep the Ohio Republican Party from following Trump’s lead." "DeWine and his advisers are working to deny Ramaswamy an endorsement when the state party meets Friday, four people aware of the effort told NBC News, including one who heard directly from the governor." "The moves place DeWine sharply at odds with Trump and Vice President JD Vance, an Ohioan who has directed his political team to steer Ramaswamy’s campaign. The move also reinforces long-standing tensions in the state between the old guard, establishment GOP that DeWine is trying to preserve and Trump’s MAGA movement, which counts younger figures like Vance and Ramaswamy among its next generation." https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2026-election/ohio-governor-moves-keep-state-gop-endorsing-trump-backed-vivek-ramasw-rcna205146 Richard Michael DeWine January 5, 1947 (age 78) That is all for now.

Over the years, numerous studies, speeches and books have focused on a phenomenon known as self-sabotage. The subjects are highly successful people who throw it all away by behaving recklessly when they get to the top of the heap. Think Bill Clinton with Monica Lewinsky. Overconfidence, boredom and a notorious quest for power are among the reasons commonly identified as explanations for the destructive cycle.

Wall Street’s bloodbath spilled over into a second day on Friday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeted by more than 2,200 points after China unveiled stiff retaliatory taxes to President Trump’s tariffs. The Dow tanked 2,231 points — a day after suffering a 1,679-point drop, its previous worst session since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The two-day selloff wiped out $6.4 trillion in market value.

A mass murderer strangled his wife during a conjugal visit in his California prison, according to prosecutors. David Brinson, already serving life for four murders, had claimed that his wife, Stephanie Dowells, a 62-year-old grandmother, had fainted when she was found dead after an unsupervised overnight visit last November at the Mule Creek State Prison near Sacramento. But an investigation showed that his wife had been throttled, with her death ruled a homicide, prosecutors told KCRA.

WASHINGTON — Former aides to Joe Biden and other Democratic flacks were aghast Friday following a report that the 46th president recently met with party bosses to offer to put himself back in the spotlight and boost the ailing party’s image and fundraising. Biden, 82, and wife Jill sat down with newly elected Democratic National Committee chairman Ken Martin last month to pitch themselves for a revamped campaigning effort, according to NBC News. Recent public polling shows Democrats’ support has cratered, with less than one-third of Americans approving of the party’s performance since President Trump returned to the White House Jan. 20.

A New Jersey mayor accused of drunk driving allegedly drove her toddler home from day care on St. Patrick’s Day, nearly crashing on the road only days after resigning from her job with another town. Lumberton Township leader Gina LaPlaca was arrested for her alleged booze-induced stunt on March 17 after she picked up her 2-year-old son from day care. The 45-year-old Democrat was allegedly captured on video by another driver swerving all over the road, nearly crashing into a utility pole before the footage was shared with police, WPVI reported, citing charging documents.

NASA forked over more than $20 million in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) grants and contracts during the Biden administration, shelling out for “implicit bias” trainings, talks with so-called “anti-racist” authors, “gender-affirming” workplace guidelines and an aggressive, left-wing media presence. Prodded by executive action from former President Joe Biden, NASA officials also implemented a strategic plan to suffuse all agency operations with DEI, altering criteria for recruitment, performance evaluations and promotions. The taxpayer-watchdog group Open The Books revealed the politicization of the space agency in a report published Wednesday, which shares a trove of documents obtained from various public records requests.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — If Tiger Woods’ career as a competitor on the PGA Tour wasn’t already virtually over before Tuesday, it’s difficult to believe that it isn’t now. The 49-year-old 15-time major champion announced on Tuesday that he underwent surgery after rupturing his left Achilles tendon while training at home. Woods, who hasn’t played a tournament since last July in the 2024 British Open, at which he missed the cut, was believed to be gearing himself up to play in next month’s Masters.

Failed 2024 Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz has said he would “certainly consider” running for president in 2028 — despite his crushing defeat alongside then-Vice President Kamala Harris this past November. “Look, I never had an ambition to be president or vice president. I was honored to be asked,” the Minnesota governor told “the New Yorker Radio Hour” on Sunday. “If I feel I can serve, I will. And if nationally, people are like, ‘Dude we tried you, and look how that worked out,’ I’m good with that.” “If I think I could offer something … I would certainly consider that.”

Don’t wait until the eleventh hour! Daylight saving time starts at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, for most of the US, meaning that we spring forward and lose an hour to make better use of daylight and save energy. DST — which lasts until Sunday, Nov. 2 — is controversial in part because research indicates it can significantly upend our sleep-wake cycle, potentially increasing the risk of heart attacks and stroke. The good news is that we can take time this week to minimize the impact on our schedule and body.

He missed the boat on this one. Sen. While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.” “The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians,” the statement added.

First, my sympathies for the Biden family. I’ve been there. Now, here’s my puzzlement. Prostate cancer is notoriously slow-growing. Although prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer deaths among men (second to only lung cancer), that’s not because it’s so deadly, but because it’s so common. It’s a fact that more men die with prostate cancer than of it. Of those who die, the typical mechanism of death is by the cancer cells metastasizing to other organs and/or to the bones. It takes years for that to happen – typically something like 5-10 years even without treatment, and even longer with treatment.

Since I already knew in 2020 that Biden was suffering from dementia, a progressive condition—and then I’d watched it progress for the next four years—the Hur tapes affirmed what I already knew. While the statement emphasized that the cancer is hormone-sensitive, offering hope for effective management, the timing and context of this revelation raise serious questions about transparency and political motivations. The key question I have is this: Did Joe Biden’s inner circle know about this diagnosis last year?
