[Snip] D.C. residents can expect an increase in federal enforcement starting as early as Friday,... [Snip] Trump on Monday threatened to federalize Washington, D.C., calling for local minors and gang members over the age of 14 to be prosecuted as adults... [Snip] Federal officials will monitor D.C.’s sanctuary city status to ensure compliance with federal immigration law and support the full accreditation of the district’s forensic crime laboratory to aid local investigations.

T.S. Eliot claimed that “April is the cruelest month,” but in this homeschooling dad’s opinion, that dubious honor belongs to August. [Snip] Take Dr. Michelle Reid, the superintendent of Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). Not only does her new contract give her a salary higher than that of the president of the United States,,,, [Snip] It would be comforting to see Reid as an outlier, but her approach is standard operating procedure for the educational establishment. Concerned citizens need only look at the National Educational Association (NEA) to understand this.

Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, is introducing "Holly’s Act" after a woman was violently attacked by a mob in Cincinnati late last month--a move aimed at ending what he calls the justice system’s revolving door for repeat offenders. The attack happened around 3 a.m. on July 26...in Cincinnati’s central business district. [Snip] We’re going to end the revolving door of injustice,"... "Our judges can no longer hide behind their cloak, and they have to be held accountable for not upholding law and order,"... [Snip] But Moreno also stressed how critically important it is for civilians to call authorities so that aid can be brought in as soon as possible.

President Donald Trump appeared in an unusual spot on Tuesday--the West Wing roof--as he hinted there could be more White House renovations up his sleeve. [Snip] 'Mr. President, what are you doing up there?' Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy reporter yelled. In response, Trump gave his trademark fist pump and replied: 'Taking a little walk.' [Snip] He also hinted that he could add something on top of where he was standing, making a domed gesture with his hands. [Snip] 'Something beautiful. More ways to spend my money. We'll show you. It's just another way to spend my money for the country.'

Former President Barack Obama will not face charges for treason, sedition or any other crime in the wake of newly disclosed intel. Whether Obama’s actions, if true, meet the elements of a crime is, of course, one thing. But this is not the primary reason Obama has little to worry about. [Snip] Why does Obama need not fear charges? The race card.
Consider the protests after the death of George Floyd. [Snip] ...Floyd’s death triggered the largest “racial injustice” protests in American history. ...estimated 10,000 protests,...5% to 7% involving violence. Approximately 26 million people protested, 25 people...killed, 2,000 police officers...injured, and billions of dollars...

The media has taken to claiming that there’s a “civil war” within MAGA over Israel. ... The “civil war” was manufactured by media hacks, hoping conservatives will adopt their support for Islamic terrorists, and social media influencers who are in the pay of Islamic interests. [Snip] There’s no ‘civil war’ within MAGA over Israel. There’s only leftist infiltration of the movement. [Snip] If we’re going to take our morality from fake media human rights outrages, America First is going to survive for approximately 5 minutes before bowing to the bleeding hearts.

Still flabbergasted over being defunded by Congress, board members of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) cried, lied, and quoted Shakespeare during their melodramatic July 24 board meeting. On August 1, the board announced it is starting an “orderly wind-down of its operations,” and most of the CPB staff positions “will conclude with the close of the fiscal year on September 30, 2025.” You would cry too, if you were losing a compensation package bigger than the salary of the president of the United States. In 2022, CPB CEO Patricia Harrison’s compensation was $524,000, according to the CPB’ most recently available 990 tax exempt form.

The discovery of artifacts can change modern perspectives of ancient times. [Snip] The 14-foot-long Shroud of Turin is believed by many to be the actual burial cloth placed over Jesus after His crucifixion. An easily discernible image of the Son of God is seen on it--one that, despite today’s technological advances, still remains impossible to replicate. [Snip] While the image does not portray a supine Jesus, nor does it show Him standing or resting upon anything but, rather, “floating.” This begs the question why would He appear to be suspended in mid-air--unless it was the moment of the resurrection that was captured on the fabric.

While some headlines fret over a weak jobs report, Marlin Steel CEO Drew Greenblatt sees something else entirely--a once-in-a-generation boom in American manufacturing that the media is missing. "This is a re-industrialization of America. This is a fabulous, optimistic time," Greenblatt told Fox & Friends Weekend on Sunday. "[And] the mainstream media is missing what's happening. It's such an optimistic, good time for a factory worker, and these are good jobs… we need more of these jobs in our country," he continued, tying the outcomes to President Donald Trump's tariff structure, which he sees as reversing the long-standing trend of foreign dumping and offshoring.

Three years after leaving a sleepy Seattle suburb to run the school district in Fairfax County, Va., outside the nation’s capital, Michelle Reid earns more money than the U.S. president and gets a car allowance. Now she wants a taxpayer-funded personal bodyguard. [Snip] The new job would earn between $84,552 to $143,880,...far more than the starting salary of about $58,000 that a new teacher gets... [Snip] Last November, the all-Democratic school board voted unanimously to renew Reid’s four-year contract and increased her annual salary to $424,146 from $380,000,... In contrast, the U.S. president earns $400,000 annually.

He was not only a dedicated officer, but a husband, father, son, brother, and friend,..." Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard suggested last week that intelligence was "manufactured and politicized" by the most powerful people in the Obama administration in 2016 and Americans will finally learn the truth, but legacy media outlets didn’t take the announcement particularly seriously. (Snip) MSNBC, meanwhile, spent more time downplaying Gabbard's report and similarly suggested Republicans are using it to distract from unflattering news. "The latest distraction comes from the national intelligence director, Tulsi Gabbard, who put out a baseless report Friday accusing the Obama administration of manufacturing intelligence that laid the groundwork for the FBI’s Russia probe into Trump," MSNBC’s Ayman Mohyeldin said.
Comments:
Senator Moreno took the mainstream media to task pointing out “...you guys are qualifying this as a brawl...This was attempted murder of an innocent woman... That person had a rap sheet a mile long...” Further, he made clear, “We’re not people that watch a woman get beaten to the inch of her life and our first instinct is to get out and videotape something that you can be cool on instagram. That’s not who we are.” Kudos to Senator Moreno for reaching out to Holly and attempting to restore law and order beginning in Ohio and, hopefully, throughout the nation.
