California and New York are signaling they will move forward with plans to redraw congressional lines as Democrats look to counter the Texas GOP. California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) said Monday that Democrats are pursuing a plan to put mid-decade redistricting before voters, which could be “triggered” by what happens in Texas. And New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D), appearing alongside Texas Democrats who fled to her state over the proposed maps Monday, embraced exploring “every option” to redraw congressional lines.

There is no better time for that huge fault to begin sliding under California. Hopefully all of the sane people have moved out by then. New York is dying for financial reasons and Mamdani, if elected, will accelerate the process.

Even in my red state I have looked at the Congressional district maps and been dismayed by their ridiculous artificiality. I would much prefer some neutral geographic scheme and let representation fall where it might.

One of the big back stories that has not been told, regarding the redistricting of congressional districts into the Democrat run so-called “sanctuary cities” and States where leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat candidates are bound to win the future elections in those newly created congressional districts, is the impact of mass uncontrolled illegal immigration will have on future redistricting processes just by the numbers of illegal aliens ensconced in those areas, after they are counted in the next US Census. Remember most illegal aliens these days are poor, generally uneducated, and unskilled people of Third World origin who are very susceptible to leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat promises of qualifying them for all sorts of Government run public assistance, healthcare, and social security benefits in return for their votes by the millions, whether those votes are legal or not, to give the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats a majority and control of Congress in the years ahead. Those are top reasons that the Democrats openly have refused to enforce the immigration laws, and essentially do not want any illegal aliens to be arrested and removed (deported) from the USA now or in the future.

How many seats will New York lose this time. Shortly after WW2, New York had over 40 seats. Now it's less than 30. In the end New York will have only 20 seats, 19 of which will be around NYC, and the final will be for the rest of the state. All will be Democrat.

Texas NEEDS redistricting because of the yuuuuge influx of new "Texans" that have moved there from "Primarily Bliue" states, adding enough population for severl new seats. Just as NY/Illinois/California need redistricting because of LOSING Millions of their population, many moving to Texas, Florida, other RED states, and even MORE Millions being deported or removing them selves back to their native nations. The only way that CA and NY can gerrymander more democrat seats is by making current seats more competitive. They may lose seats as a result. GA democrats gerrymandered a new "democrat" district, before they lost all statewide offices and the legislature. Surprise! The new congressional district went republican.

Believe House districts need to have some sort of contiguity and commonality. CA normally votes 40% Republican for most statewide offices which should mean they should have 40% of the House district seats if we're being fair and want true diverse representation.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Saturday the planned summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, warning that any peace deal excluding Kyiv would lead to “dead solutions.” The Trump-Putin meeting, scheduled for Friday in Alaska, is seen as a potential breakthrough. Trump had previously agreed to meet with Putin even if the Russian leader would not meet with Zelenskyy, stoking fears Ukraine could be sidelined in efforts to stop the continent’s biggest conflict since World War II. In a statement posted to Telegram, Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s territorial integrity, enshrined in the constitution, must be non-negotiable and emphasized that lasting peace must include Ukraine’s voice at the table.

With efforts underway by Administrator Lee Zeldin to reform the EPA’s reputation for junk science, it is worthwhile to look back at how science became politicized within that agency. The story begins over a half century ago during the counterculture revolution of the late ‘60s when environmentalism became popular. Paul Ehrlich, who is often credited with being the founding guru of the environmental movement, became an overnight celebrity with his 1968 best-seller, The Population Bomb. In it, he warned about the consequences of population growth and predicted imminent famine and resource depletion for the world.

Recently, a large group of black youths began pummeling white adults in downtown Cincinnati. The original altercation apparently broke out between a black and white male in he-said/he-said fashion. But that dispute soon turned into a virtual free-for-all. Numerous male and female black youths sucker-punched a middle-aged woman. Others continued to kick or body slam the victims. There were many disturbing aspects to the beat-downs. One, the violence broke out along racial and age fault lines. After the initial dispute, groups of black youths swarmed solitary older white bystanders to pound them. Two, the surrounding assembled group of black youths not only failed to intervene to restrain the bullies.

Controversy erupted over the Democrats’ disgraceful history of gerrymandering. Israel announced its intention to complete the pacification of Gaza. The Trump administration revoked the ridiculous CO2 endangerment finding. And more. But the nation’s meme-creators mostly focused their attention elsewhere. President Trump took a walk on a sloped roof. South Park viciously parodied Trump, JD Vance and Kristi Noem. The now indisputably-Republican Sydney Sweeney remained a popular meme subject. And, above all, persons mostly unknown debuted a new sports tradition: throwing green d*ldos on to the court at WNBA games.
